Brillant Guitar lessons
I’ve been learning guitar for about six years. A friend of mine went to Barry and recommended I give him a try, and honestly, it was the best decision I could have made.Before Barry, I had two teachers come to my house to try and teach me, and they were useless. I’ve experienced this a lot growing up — I had many teachers, not just for guitar but in general, who simply didn’t know how to teach.I started lessons with Barry six weeks ago, and already I’m strumming a song I actually want to learn, and doing it properly. On top of that, I’m now playing the pentatonic scale along to blues backing tracks. I’m sitting here and I genuinely don’t want to put the guitar down.Barry is an inspiration and a fantastic teacher. He really understands how to explain things in a way that makes sense. He’s also a genuinely nice guy to talk to and always takes the time to make sure you understand what you’re learning.I’ve had plenty of bad teachers in school and outside of school — Barry gets it.I don’t usually write reviews, but he absolutely deserves this one. Highly recommended.

I had an upcoming audition for my high school house band, which accepted only the most musically expert of the musicians in my school. Feeling unprepared at first, Barry taught me everything I needed to know, from basic scales and chords to advanced theory skills and improvisation techniques. And in the end, I proudly earned the vocal and rhythm guitar spot. I was thankful that I could turn to Barry as I couldn’t have made it without his help and patience.
