MashaAllah this is an excellent taught by an exceptional scholar, Yusuf Bhatti. His instruction is logical and pragmatic, and he takes much care in making sure the concept is well understood. However, I just wish they were a little more forgiving for those like me who really wants to learn the language, but is in a financial crisis. Whenever I wasn’t able to pay the monthly fee on time, and the program would reasonably block access to the content, it was rather difficult to regain access even after paying the bill. But if you have the money, please consider taking this class where you will work with a learn from real scholars who take time to teach with compassion, patience, and tradition in a new age.

It was a great experience studying foundations of Arabic at Grammica. I have been trying my hand at Arabic for several years now, but Grammica so far has been the best place for learning Arabic as it helped me consolidate my knowledge, fill in the gaps and provided explanation of essential concepts in a simple manner. I will highly recommend the foundations course to all serious learners. Not only the program is flexible and easy to manage along ones busy schedule, it has been taught in a very basic way. I recently completed a foundational Arabic grammar course with Grammica Institute, and it was a truly transformative experience. This was my first formal study of Arabic grammar, and for the first time, the subject truly clicked for me.The live instruction with Sidi Yusuf twice a week created a supportive and engaging learning environment. His patience, creativity, and ability to explain concepts repeatedly until everyone understood made even complex grammar accessible. The additional study sessions with his teaching assistant Saadia were also extremely beneficial.As a result, I now engage with the Quran on a deeper level, recognizing verbs and nouns and connecting with the text in ways I hadn’t been able to before. This course has strengthened my relationship with the Quran, and I’m deeply grateful for what I’ve gained. I’ve even noticed I am more confident in my conversational Arabic as a result of all of the exercises I’m translating from English to Arabic & vice versa. I highly recommend this program to anyone beginning or renewing their journey in Arabic grammar, especially those seeking a closer connection to the Quran. My only suggestion would be for future levels to include live classroom-style instruction, as I found that format especially effective. Depth and Usefulness of Curriculum
What I love about Grammica is the depth to which content is covered, and how it is then applied to one's Arabic skills, particularly reading. Many treatments of Arabic grammar either treat it as something to studied entirely academically, or as something that should be avoided as much as possible, only to be used as a tool. Grammica's curriculum takes the best of both of these approaches and combines it, giving both depth and applicability to what is learned.

As a student new to Arabic grammar, Ustadh Yusaf's explanations, from distinguishing between definite and indefinite forms to more advanced structures suitable for beginners like me, such as Idāfa, and explaining the ten forms and other complex topics in an introductory and simple manner, were crucial to my Arabic learning progress. I have many friends and loved ones who have taken his help and have highly recommended him. I can now say for myself that every minute you spend with him adds to your lifelong Arabic learning journey. He offers free videos on his Grammar YouTube channel, as well as a variety of courses specifically tailored to your Arabic knowledge level. He knows the best books and tips to get you through anything you're covering. I have spent 2 months learning with him and I plan on continuing for at least another year. I learned hundreds of vocabulary words that I hardly ever had heard of and reinforced my Arabic to a point where I am confident with the base I have. Shukran, Ustadh Yusaf! The Private tutoring, in my case, being 1 on 1, was very beneficial as he devoted all his attention to my needs. The Perfect Teacher For An English Speaker
It is very rare to find a native English speaker who is also very good at teaching Arabic online! Ustadh Yusaf is clearly very knowledgable about the Arabic language, but he also knows HOW to explain it to an English speaker. Before I started learning with Ustadh Yusaf, I tried out or visited a number of Arabic programs and teachers in the past (some of the teachers have taught in English, some only in Arabic). I found that most of the previous programs I've seen in English oversimplified topics and never taught correct terminology in Arabic which leaves you unprepared to continue your studies. And the classes in Arabic were taught straight from classical grammar and morphology texts without the topics building on each other, or with very little actual practice implementing those rules or topics. Ustadh Yusaf is able to tailor his teaching to the level of the student so that the topics build on each other and tie together nicely. He is teaching authentic terminology while providing beneficial explanations in English. There is plenty of practice in the live sessions (which are also recorded so you can look back at them). My favorite part is that all of the mini-lectures are pre-recorded so I can watch them and pause them and rewatch them as many times as I need to understand the topic.

Thorough, Fills the Gaps
I am new to Grammica and have had been through the mill of sitting with various teachers and studying the Ajrumiyya. I probably studied the Ajrumiyya 4 times before sitting with Ustadh Yusaf at Grammica. Through his explanation of the Mutammimah and the Ihya, I am able to identify the gaps in my Arabic education and work on filling them. His insight in the language is so thorough and deep masha'Allah and it shows as we traverse the texts. Allah grant him and Grammica immense tawfiq. As a busy professional, and father who has a strong desire and passion to learn the Arabic language we do some how feel challenges in our daily lives. Alhumdulilah, Grammica offers excellent recorded lessons for those that I miss. Rare find of a teacher who is competent in advanced Arabic grammar, has a command of classical texts, speaks English and is able to explain how or how not to translate certain grammatical structures. I benefited. I already recommended him and his course to others. I liked most that I get an authoritative answer to my grammar questions I can trust and do not feel I need to double check, a thorough grammatical analysis of complex sentences, helping me to spot such structures in the future. Guided reading needs practice and this is a rare course that provides reading from a grammar point of view and understanding a sentence only 80% does not suffice. Granualar understanding of classical texts helps me to develop my language understanding also in MSA texts.

Studying Arabic with Grammica really is an amazing experience! Ustadh Yusaf really tailors his instruction to each student and the small class size and live classes really encourage interaction with the teacher as well as fellow students. Ustadh Yusaf genuinely cares for his students and has the unique ability to grasp what each student needs. The class is a perfect mix of traditional instruction using modern educational tools. Ustadh Yusaf is easily accessible and there are teaching assistants also available as a resource. There is a unique textbook that is taught for both the Essentials and Intermediate courses and it is a perfect blend of examples from classical Islamic texts including the Quran, Hadith, and poetry and succinct Nahw and Sarf lessions. I have taken many online Arabic courses before, but never benefited from a class as much as I have from this course. The barakah is palpable! If your goal is to read and understand Classical Arabic texts, this is the class for you. A must for students beginning the path to seeking knowledge!

Studying Arabic with Grammatica Institute cannot be recommended highly enough. The Essentials course offers you all you could wish for in a complete and thorough grounding in the basics of Arabic grammar, dispelling any confusions you might be harbouring from previous study of the language. Ustadh Yusaf's teaching style is very clear and precise and he even makes complicated topics seem easy. The course is well-paced and not over encumbered with unnecessary details.The Intermediate course introduces a whole range of subtler content enriching one's appreciation of the Arabic language even further. Covering how irregular sarf is constructed is a complete joy, leading to endless 'eureka' moments, as formerly incomprehensible combinations of letters suddenly make sense. For anyone serious about travelling the path to understanding the Arabic of the Quran and sacred texts, opting to take these courses could just about be one of the best decisions you ever make!

I wanted to learn Arabic grammar, so that I am able to understand classical texts, perhaps I did not realise the nuances behind learning a new language. No language can be learnt without knowing its grammatical structure. I am now learning everything granularly. Ustadh takes us through the coursework with extreme patience and light heartedness.I would highly recommend studying with Grammica - however, this is for the serious minded and not the faint hearted :)

I had a choice to study Advanced Arabic at a cheaper course elsewhere or study with Grammica. I chose Grammica for the simple reason that the course elsewhere would not be taught by Ustadh Yusuf. I regard Ustadh Yusuf to be a gem in the Muslim world. He has a rare combination of possessing mastery of the Arabic language, an understanding the needs of students and an ability to instil in students a comprehension of Arabic in the simplest and quickest time possible. His classes are in depth but always interesting. Above all else you see a teacher possessing an exceptional nature. His patience, understanding, easy going and affable nature shines throughout his classes. He has been described as the best teacher in Arabic currently in the world. I have had several teachers and find that hard to argue against.
