The World’s Most Expensive Publishing Lesson

The World’s Most Expensive Publishing LessonWhen I first discovered Global Publishing Agency (previously referred to as “Amazon Publishing Agency”), their website promised what many authors dream of — transparency, partnership, professional editing, tailored marketing, global exposure, bookstore placement, film outreach, and a team dedicated to the success of my books and author journey. The language presented a picture of a full-service publishing and promotional campaign: strategic marketing, book-to-screen opportunities, professional editing, and personalized author support. What was sold to me was the hope of a long-term partnership and a shared vision for the future of my work. However — in my experience — the reality did not reflect the promises made on their site or in multiple conversations.Review:In my personal experience, Global Publishing Agency (previously referred to as “Amazon Publishing Agency”) was less a publishing service and more a relentless request line for additional payments. Each phone call seemed to introduce a new “opportunity,” “upgrade,” or “urgent investment,” which, over time, cost me nearly $100,000 USD.I later realized the individuals I was communicating with were not located in the United States as presented. I also came to believe the names used may not have been genuine, which created even greater confusion and distress regarding who I was actually working with.I deeply regret ever offering positive feedback in the past. What I thought was a professional relationship and even, at times, a personal connection, turned out to be emotionally manipulative and financially devastating.Services that were promised — editing, marketing, consultations, deliverables — did not materialize in the manner or timeline presented to me. Instead, I found myself receiving repeated calls requesting further payments for additional promises. In my view, clients should proceed with extreme caution, particularly if they are offered personal attention, emotional reassurance, or ongoing promises of future opportunities tied to new financial contributions. If enthusiasm, persistence, and charm were published products, they’d be bestsellers — but unfortunately, books aren’t the thing being successfully delivered.Spoiler: The only thing that seemed to move quickly was my money — and not in my direction.P.S. — Ethical Reflection⚖️🕌💔“Do for others what you would wish done for you.”This is a universal teaching — and also a wisdom deeply rooted in Islam.I came to understand that money gained through broken promises and unfulfilled agreements is considered haram — forbidden — and never blessed. In my experience, I communicated with people using the names: Peter Wilburt, Ronald Grayson, and Ethan Williams (later referred to me as Zaeem). I cannot verify the accuracy of these identities, but they were the names presented to me during the business relationship.I paid every invoice promptly. I kept every commitment I made. I trusted the individuals representing this company with my work, my campaigns, and my dreams. Yet many of the services I paid for were not delivered as promised or remain incomplete.During conversations, I was led to believe that the company was not operating from Los Angeles as advertised, but from Pakistan. This added to my confusion and distress surrounding the transparency of our communication. If the roles were reversed — if I had received money and delivered little or nothing in return — would that be considered fair? Honest? Just? This is my lived experience and my personal opinion.Others may choose to call it something stronger. And in many faiths, including Islam, betrayal of trust is considered one of the gravest wrongs. 💔🕌⚖️

Joshua Westerland Hill called me asking to take the review down now if he could have told or showed me how to get my money from the book I wrote I probably would have but do not look back-I have bee

Run and do not look back-I have been begging and pleading with this company to help me and provide me with an Accounting & Royalties Invoice since my book was published by them in June 16 for the ebook June 18 of 2025. Lots of my co-workers, friends, influencers/content creators from TikTok, family has purchased my book. I personally went around to libraries and did presentations, calling multiple counties and schools marketing my book. To this day I have not received NO Money. Every time I call whom ever answers the phone and puts me off. On Nov. 28, 2025 Joshua contacted me asking if my book could be featured at a book fair in Italy, I simply stated where is my money from my books that has been sold her in the United States he told me he didnt know and that my checking r was attached, however that is true but if Amazon has them down as the publisher and Amazon kept redirecting me to Global Publishing, that means Global Publishing has a separate account and that is where my book sales are going. After Joshua told me that he would meet with me on this Monday when I called they (Global Publishing Agency)stated they did not know when he would be back, I called again on Tuesday and the person that ansewered the phone at Global Publish Agency stated that "Joshua will not be back until next year". I said well "I was suppose to be getting with him about my book" so I asked the person that was on the phone "do you know how I can start receiving money from the sale of my book, the reply "I better leave a msg. for Joshua to contact you" So tonight on 12/3/2025 4:53 central time Joshua called, I asked him if he could hold on until I get my assistant and husband on the phone so my assistant is an author and knew what to ask because this man keep putting me off about my money, Joshua Westerland Hill began to ask my assistant questions in reference to her book, my husband intervene and said" we are not here for that, my wife needs to know how she can get her money"? Joshua told my husband "I will punch you in your fu$"face" It was witness by 2 people, so at this point I feel I have been swindled and scammed, because no professional talk like that. I would like to know if anyone else ever experienced this nightmare with this company and these people? Please let me know. Some other people that use to call me when the book was being put together was Samuel Jackson, Ronald Grayson suppose to be the Sr. Project and Marketing Manager, Ryan Wilson-Project Mgr. , Adam, Alex, Jessica Brown, Peter Wilburt. Its sad what people will do just took my money. My grandson was so proud, may their souls rot on this earth and in hell. I have never been so hurt and heartbroken. This was the very reason I was scared to publish the book. Im sure they scam all first time authors like this. The verbal assault from Joshua Hill OMG they have really traumatized me. This is not right and something has to be done. They are Fraudulent Scamers--Please go to all my sites and look how I have been marketing, I went to Dallas Texas on a book signing for the book and I have not received one brown 1 cent coin. They have taken my money. I asking for help on what to do now because its clear they got my money and will continue to receive money off a book I wrote and the image for the illustration which I paid for someone to draw but other people are telling me that it is AI drawings. Please don't let this company do nothing for you, Im sorry I was the one bought this tramatizing lesson.
