If I could give zero stars I would.

If I could give zero stars I would. This company took over 5 months to process a SIMPLE claim from a routine visit, and never replied to my emails. COMPLETE waste of money. Then they denied my claim, probably knowing I wouldn't waste my time trying to contest. DON'T USE THEM.

Absolutely terrible

Absolutely terrible. 3.5 months to finally get around to denying my claim for medication that was always approved before. Run, don’t walk. They are absolute criminals.

Zero stars

I would give zero stars were that an option. We got switched to Odie after they assumed clients from ManyPets. We didn't switch to a new company because my dog has a lot of health issues, all of which would be considered pre-existing under a new policy. We were assured by Odie that our coverage would continue "uninterrupted." However, they erroneously decided that some of her health issues were pre-existing, despite them being covered by ManyPets. They also erroneously covered some claims and denied the same claims later as pre-existing (they covered my dogs inhaler one month, them denied it the next as pre-existing; how can it be pre-existing if they already previously covered it??) My husband's name was on the policy, and one day, after submitting numerous claims and having them processed, Odie decided that his name had to be on the veterinary invoices (I am the one who takes the dogs to the vet due to my more flexible schedule). Realizing they would no longer cover my claims due to my name being on the invoices, we asked Odie via email to switch our policy to my name. Days later I received an email that our policies for both dogs were canceled. I immediately emailed them (because you can't reach a person via phone), and demanded they explain why my policy was canceled. Days later, got another email that our new policy would start on Feb whatever date. I emailed again demanding an answer about coverage and if our previously covered conditions were now going to be pre-existing. Finally, more days later, I got an email from a person apologizing for the confusion; that in order to put my name on the policy they have to cancel and restart. She assured me my pre-existing conditions would carry over (yet to be determined) but our deductible would restart. NONE of that was explained PRIOR to them taking action; thank goodness we asked for my name to be put on the policy at the beginning of the year! So overall, communication with this company is the worst I've seen: absolutely non-existent. You can't ever reach a live agent for help,(believe me, I've tried numerous times, leaving voicemails repeatedly without response). They take action on client policy without permission, and are inconsistent on what is pre-existing or not, even within their own policy. They also take an egregiously long time to communicate via email, if they even deign to respond at all; I still have email inquiries that have gone unanswered from last year.

Odie is by far one of the most corrupt companies

Odie is by far one of the most corrupt companies i've ever seen. They require the pet owner to do all the legwork in obtaining records. They literally refuse to pick up a phone and speak. They hide behind keyboards, take MONTHS to process things and make up rules and regulations as they go. There is no shock their CEO failed working for others and decided owning his own business was the way to go!

They take forever to respond to claims

They take forever to respond to claims. Customer service is terrible. Total scam. Don't buy. I got stuck with them when they bought out my previous pet insurance carrier (that I was very happy with).

No claim progress or update - lost my cat due to spine tumor

My policy was transferred to Odie from ManyPet last year. My cat Cooper was found spinal tumor, went through surgery and euthanasia in Dec 25. This is my first and only experience with Odie. I submitted my claims in Early Jan. I have sent multiple follow-ups but have received no response or status update. I am posting here to request contact and confirmation of my claim status.

AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!!!!!!

AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!!!!!!Had this insurance for about a year and a half. Filed the first claim after dog was injured. They took literally 4 months to respond to the claim after repeated calls and emails. Then when they processed the claim, it was severely underpaid. Maybe they have an AI bot reviewing claims, or a very incompetent human. Cancelling at the first possible opportunity. Just worst experience I’ve ever had in my life with a company.

Avoid At All Costs

My policy got transferred from Many Pets, they are intentionally delaying claims, not even trying to hide it. Has been over two months since my dog had TPLO surgery and my claim hasn’t been reimbursed. Every new email is another “7-10 days”. They mange to take my money every month on time though. STAY AWAY!

I wish there was a way to give zero…

I wish there was a way to give zero stars. I was one of the people whose policy transferred from Many Pets Insurance to Odie and it has been nothing short of a nightmare. My dog had liver cancer and was covered under my Many Pets policy, however since moving over to Odie, I submitted 2 claims (one on 9/30 and the other on 10/15) for medications that she has been on since her surgery a year ago. These medications were covered under my previous insurance. I submitted my receipts, along with 18 months of vets records and now they have called my vets office asking for ALL of the records. Why? Many Pets had been paying this claim. They have no issue taking $150+ dollars from my account every month but submitting a claim for $60ish dollars and they are doing everything in their power to make it ineligible, in addition to the fact that they havent even met their own advertised timeline for reimbursement. And the real kicker is that you can't get anyone on the phone. They are so bogged down with denying claims that they send everyone to voicemail and never call them back. Terrible business practices. I cringe at the thought that I might ever need to make a claim for something other than meds.

Worst company

Worst company. Don’t even try to cancel the policy because they will never process it unless you cancel you credit card, debit card or ban k account. Otherwise you’ll be stuck paying for a policy where they’ll take their sweet time in paying out the claim or not pay at all.

ODIE

ODIE: absolutely horrific and unethical serviceI was transferred over from ManyPets, and assured that my dog's preexisting conditions (allergies) would be covered- both from ManyPets AND Odie, before I agreed to be transferred over. It's all in writing. Guess what - my dog's allergy treatments are NOT covered as promised. Also - horrific customer service. Nobody answers chat, nobody answers the phone. Emails take a week or more. I had claims for 6 weeks - still unresolved after weeks of followup. I filed a Wellness claim (for flea treatment). Outstanding as of weeks. I was also told that the minute you file a Wellness claim, you are on the hook for the remainder of the year's premium - even if you try to cancel. So I pulled the claim and cancelled the insurance. Now I'm $300 out for nothing. They will take your money regardless. Stay away. What a scam.

They never pay, but take your money easily

They take money from you easily, but never pay you for your pet. None of my claims were approved, just bullshit like "your documents are insufficient or didn't meet our policy...". They never help when you need, don't waist your time on them.

If you love your PET be careful with…

If you love your PET be careful with Odie Pet Insurance. They don't accept any claims. Only they will accept claim if you have deductible and that much you will recieve from them. They will use deductible. Stay away from them. What they promise is not true!!!! This is the worse pet insurance.

If I could give them zero stars I…

If I could give them zero stars I would. We were transferred customers from ManyPets insurance, a company we absolutely adored and had for well over two years. Since being transferred to Odie, it’s been over a month of constant headaches. Absolutely zero customer service responsiveness, and if you do manage to get a response by email, it’s an unhelpful automated link. Their automated email links (eg to activate account, etc) lead to error messages like “expired link token”. The only thing I managed to do was update my payment information. They then proceeded to charge me twice over for each of my pets, putting me out nearly $300. I ended up having to call my bank and dispute the claim and file it as fraudulent because I could not get a hold of anybody to correct the issue. Do NOT use this company. I ended up going with lemonade, which has amazing reviews and I’ve immediately been able to get a hold of a customer service rep to talk thru my new plan.

They denied a claim for an ear…

They denied a claim for an ear infection because they said there was insufficient paperwork despite my emailing and attaching everything required. Their customer service is non-existent; it is impossible to speak to anyone, and it took them three months to deny my claim. I paid for the year in full, and I have requested a cancellation of my policy and a refund of the seven remaining months I have paid for. I wonder how long that will take?
