Near Death Experience
Near Death Experience: I have been working with Excel for close to 4 years now writing my autobiography. I paid them up front almost $20,000.00 to ghost write, edit, publish, print and market my book for two years. I have been through 5 authors since the beginning in 2022. Mikhail was my contact and then it was Ashtin all of the sudden. Last year they were trying to get another $5,000.00 for a book fair in Germany to be showcased, however I forcefully declined which made things uncomfortable. I finalized the draft months ago and getting them to respond now via email or phone is non existent. He did email me and cc'd a woman named Alice who apparently is the "Marketing" director. I have been unsuccessful getting her to respond at all unfortunately. Their domain name excelbookwriting.com is now available for purchase on go daddy which of course means they are no longer operating under that business name. Ashtin did call me yesterday but the telephone communication was broken up so bad, all I heard was I will call you later? It appears I have been taken for a fool once again!

Excel Book Writing Perpetrates FRAUD !!!
I began a journey with Excel Book Writing Over two years ago with contracted agreements for them to produce 2 books with their "Executive Package." The first Project Manager they assigned to me was David Basley. He seemed to make an effort to work toward the first book, but the Editor "Team" just REFUSED to follow my Instructions and took months and months to send me 7 different sections of the book I had written without any DUE DILIGENCE. I kept having to repeat myself on things they ignored over and over. I finally purchased my own spelling and grammar checker and delivered them a finalized version of the book to present to Amazon, Barnes and Noble, and Ingram Sparks for publication. In the process of time David became more and more unreachable. I was told he had become sick and had taken a medical leave of absence, and I was assigned a 2nd Project Manager by the name of Rosetta Turner. At first she also seemed to be genuinely desirous to fulfill the contracted work agreements, but she was behind the 8-ball because she had to find out where David had left off. I had paid the company for the original work in January of 2024, and the first book, which was basically completely Edited by me because their "Team" was not doing their job, was finally published in March of 2025. As soon as that was done, Excel was supposed to present me with a completed website and promotion of the book, but that was never completed as agreed. When the first book was finally published, Rosetta began pressing me to finish the 2nd book, and I spent a couple of months working to produce a finalized copy which I Edited myself (which was something I had paid them to do) because I had had such a hassle with the first book. Even then, after my doing all the work, it took them several months making one excuse after another to finalize their work to get it actually published. During that time Rosetta began going for weeks at a time without communicating. I contacted Pearl Dominic, the "Resolution Head" to complain about the lack of communication, and she told me that Rosetta had been on Sick leave, but of course no-one had felt it necessary to contact me to let me know. When Rosetta finally got back in touch, she told me that she wanted me to send her all of my audio sermon files so she could put them on the website. She basically put my expectation to publish a website on hold while she was working on getting my audio portion of the website prepared. She gave me access to a "Webtest" page, which was not ready for actually publishing and promised me that changes I requested were being made, but they were never done. I was asked to send them $1,600.00 to produce 100 copies of my first book to sell online which I did. I had originally had 10 books that were supposed to be sent to me from my first book, and I only received 2, and that was after excuse after excuse and months after months went by. I STILL have not received the remaining 8 books from the first agreement for the first book. I have had no website set up. They opened me an Instagram account and a Facebook page and an X account and put some pics on one of them of my first book, but I have no means by which to monetize my books aside from Amazon, B&N, and Ingram Sparks. Because they have not followed through with their contract to promote the books, the only ones that Amazon and B&N have sold have been to ME for my Church people, and my brother bought one from them as well. I decided that since they could not even send me the 8 books that were originally contracted that I would not be able to trust them to oversee the distribution of the 100 books to any potential customers from the website they had never set up to follow through on to sell them from my site, so I had told Rosetta that I would need to either make arrangements to have that $1,600.00 transferred to some other service or I would need to get a refund. There is MUCH MORE TO THIS STORY, BUT I AM RUNNING OUT OF TIME at this juncture. I have clearly expressed my concerns in print to the company representatives mentioned above through emails, texts, and multiple phone calls leaving voicemails that I have recorded to prove what I allege herein that they have completely ignored. I think that the moniker of Divine GHOST is appropriate (at least the GHOST) part because they have done nothing but Ghost me and make promise after promise that they have not at all taken the initiative to follow through upon. I can only conclude that this company in all of its different names is a deliberately fraudulent company that forever pushes its clients toward making greater and greater levels of monetary commitments for services that they have no intention of fulfilling. I would stongly and most emphatically encourage that anyone looking to get their books published would NOT take the chance that I did and invest in this company!!!

This Vanity Book Publisher will not provide to the contract requirements
Short Version:27 Jan 2025, initial contract with Excel Book Writing & parent company Divine Ghost Writers was signed for publishing a book in 3-4 months.18 May 2025; filed negative Review with the VBC & Chicago BBB that this company has not even working towards producing the book after the contract requirements were past the date.3 Nov. 2025; after the contractor stated they would have my book published, they in turn assigned a fourth project manager ten months in the project.3 Nov 2025; client files a complaint with the VBC & Chicago BBB that no contractual requirements were met and the project was 6 months past the initial contract date.4 Nov - 18 Dec 2025, VBC BBB kept passing the company's false statements and that they were working to resolve the issue, while never once addressing why none of the contract requirements were met or would be met.18 Dec 2025; VBC BBB (Mohammad Pandhiani), arbitrary closes customer's Complaint, without any resolution to the contract requirements being met by Excel Book Writing or parent company, Divine Ghost Writers. Also, my complaint is no longer posted on the VBC BBB website.Client spent $4200 with Excel Book Writing / Divine Ghost Writers, and to this date does not have his books on any book available on provider’s websites.Detail Version:My initial contact on a publisher webpage was with Divine Ghost Writers on 27 Jan 2025, but some of their paperwork or documents would state Excel Book Writing and/or Divine Ghost Technologies; however, all three of their contracts with me would contain Divine Technologies Limited as the parent company.Original contract stated 3-4 months for the book to be published and provided the following: Research and Ethnography, Project Management, Cover Design, Editing and Proofreading, Layout Adjustment, Book cover design, ISBN, Publication on Amazon, Kindle, Barnes & Noble + 400 Platforms, 2-4 Pages Author Website, 1 Year Domain Hosting & SEO & SMM, book completion in 3-4 Months in eBook, Paperback, Hardcover. Original contract was for 25 Hardcover Copies (Colored) to be delivered to my home of record.A second contract was for Professional “Copyright Review” and confirm an ISBN and webpage for me, although the original contract stated the same services.Third contract was to publish 100 Softback & 100 Hardback books to be used as publication inventory. So, after over 9 months, three separate project managers with each signed a book release form for publication, and after paying $4200 in total for the aforementioned services, I have received nothing from this publisher other than after the latest book release date of 1 Nov. 2025, (which there have been several release dates going back to March 2025) that on 2 Nov. 2025 a new project manager will be assigned in the upcoming weeks. The latest book release was for 1 Nov., after this date I received an email from my publisher that a new project manager would soon be assigned. So, on 3 Nov. 2025, client files BBB Complaint with the VBC & Chicago offices. On 18 Dec. 2025, the VBC BBB arbitrary closes my BBB Complaint without any resolution or any contractual requirements being meet by either Excel Book Writing or Divine Ghost Writers.Along with my personal bank information to route the book sales to a personal account, the publisher tried on many occasions to obtain my SSN, in which I would not do so, since the ISBN was supposed to tie the royalties back to the author. (Note: The publisher never established an ISBN to the author as delineated in the original contract).

Mass Fraud/Criminal Organization
Excel Book Writing (fake publisher) contested my prior reviews as fake and Trust Pilot let them do it, allowing their criminal scam to continue. Excel is stealing from people seeking legitimate publishing services. Their real whereabouts are in Pakistan or somewhere thereabout and they change company names and make front websites often to repeat the same scam under different names. The positive reviews are fake. I have contacted the authorities and filed reports. This is a fraudulent company operating a call center to farm the public for money. You need to contact the FBI, file an IC3 report, your local police, file a BBB complaint, and Attorney General to report them for organized crime, mass fraud, and theft by deception among other things. They stole $38,000 from me and ceased all contact when I asked for refund. They are not based in Chicago. These are criminals running a scam to generate revenue quickly. I paid them for several different services and never received anything. They use many different names for their staff - likely all pseudonyms. It is a huge scam to steal money from aspiring authors. I paid them in 2023. They demanded money orders and checks by mail in addition to drafting my account. I never received anything. Also file a report to the CFPB, FTC, Interpol, your local police, the FBI phone tip line, IC3 Online Reporting System for the FBI, and to Crime Stoppers. Tell everyone. The goal is to get everyone who can be pursuing them from an investigative perspective to do so. If any recovery is to be made, the full might of law enforcement through the criminal justice system must be brought down on them.

This company is not legitimate
This company is not legitimate. In 2022, we paid over a thousand dollars to get started on a book and they never completed anything. They interviewed us for the book, but never produced anything. Judy Sevastin, Kenneth Walker, and Angelique Thomas were the names used and it all turned out to be untrue. I tried to file a complaint with the attorney generals in both Chicago and Texas, but they could to locate this company although they had addresses in these state. We never received our money back and then they stopped answering calls. The site had all these testimonials. I have not given up on the book writing project and came across all the documentation and paperwork back in 2022. I wanted to prevent others from what we endured and the money we lost.

I worked with Excel over the course of a year on my cookbook, it was an extremely challenging project, but they were more than up to the task and demonstrated not only patients but a knowledge of the industry. They were always available to answer questions or discuss marketing and options to improve my book. They brought my book from draft to published and I am truly grateful

Working with Seth Rogers at Excel Book…
Working with Seth Rogers at Excel Book Publishing has been one of the most rewarding professional experiences of my writing career. From the very beginning, Seth brought a rare combination of editorial precision, creative insight, and heartfelt support to the table. He treated My Life, My Song not just as a book, but as a living, breathing work of art—and honored my voice every step of the way.His attention to detail elevated every chapter, and his intuitive sense of rhythm and structure helped bring out the best in my storytelling. Seth understood the emotional tone and cultural significance of my work, and he handled it with both reverence and skill. I never once felt rushed, dismissed, or unheard. Quite the opposite—Seth made me feel like my story truly mattered. Thanks to his guidance, My Life, My Song was transformed into something far more powerful than I could have imagined on my own. I am proud to have had Seth as my editor and even prouder to call him a true publishing partner. If you’re looking for someone who respects your voice, sharpens your vision, and walks with you through the trenches of publishing with grace and grit—Seth Rogers is the one. With heartfelt thanks,Jacqueline GermanyAuthor of My Life, My Song

Great Experience
Recently, I had the pleasure to work with Excell Book Publishing and I am happy I made that choice! My current project manager's name is Seth Roger's. He is attentive, caring, knowledgeable, respectful and empathetic. We have great exchanges and he is up to the challenge. I appreciate Seth and all the effort he puts into my work. If it were up to me, I would nominate him for employee of the year. Excellent job Seth and THANK YOU.

Part of the payment I made to Excel was…
Part of the payment I made to Excel was to have 30 hard bound copies of my novel. The novel has been complete for well over a year, but I never received the 30 hard bound copies. I've received their 'commitment' to ship them to me upwards 20 times. Excel will not deliver on everything you pay for and promised.

They are truly horrible
They are truly horrible. Don't waste you're time with them. You can 100% find better writers with better work ethic and quality services. I signed up with them around 2-3 years ago and payed for ghostwriting services for a fantasy novel. I was so upset and disappointed with the awful communication and quality of writing that I ended up just blocking them. So in the end, I wasted thousands of dollars and my time. Couldn't even get a refund.

Promises made, promises kept
I ordered books for an event, an event that I had not shared with Excel Book Writing. I did not feel that it was necessary to inform them because my event date was months away. Shortly after placing my order Excel Writing experienced a printing glitch. Seth Rogers head of client services reached out to me to explain that there could be a slight delay in the printing of my order. At this time I informed Seth of my event and the date. The possibility of missing that date was now looming. Within a few days Seth assured me that he would have my order delivered before my event and he did. Needless to say, what a tremendous relief.
