Run away!!! As far away!!! I disputed a charge for $534.02 since the movers were 3 days late and when they did show up, they were up charging me by 100%+. I was signed a quote after creating an inventory of my boxes and furniture with their rep and paid a deposit to for my furniture to be picked up on an agreed upon day. They didn’t show up nor did they call. I kept calling and texting the agent I paid/scheduled with and no answer. He finally calls back when I asked for my money back and promised they’d show up the next morning. They finally show up at 4pm and they start speaking a foreign language and going around and surveying my stuff. The leader comes back with hand written quote and says I’ve to pay X now and X upon delivery, almost tripling my quoted amount! I tell him I cannot afford that and he stays rushing me to pay, this causing me to cancel since our original contract was completely voided at this time. BUT Chase Bank rejected my disputed deposit of $534.02. Beyond livid!!!! Don’t trust this vendor!!!!
Bad. It's a broker who hired a moving company who hired a third party owner operator. Poor communication with me and between parties. Would not deduct $1372 in payments despite the fact I had receipts proving the 2 payments. The first attempt to overcharge was a call AFTER MIDNIGHT. Threat to hold my items hostage for 4 more weeks when I asked to talk during the dayDays and conversations ltr they took the larger payment off but tried to claim it as "giving a break" when it was not. Refused to take off the $372. I eventually payed the extra 372 under duress after they had screamed at me, hung up on me, threatened to hold my items 4 more weeks, suggested my stuff would end up broken, and claimed they would charge me 1,000's and 1,000's of more dollars. I was told I would be given a corrected invoice upon drop off but it wasn't provided. I sent 4 messages b4 Everest called me. Again Jacob was supposed to send me a corrected invoice. They tried to charge me an extra 1372 amd Eventually got an extra 372 I DO NOT OWE -- and they got it by wearing me down w/ many threats. And I DID have one vintage tall carousel statue come back broken.
Beware! This company is a broker that contracts your move out to another company for delivery. We contracted with them to move my daughter from NC to Cambridge, Mass for law school; I was clear in my contract and communications that we needed delivery set for sept 1st or 2bd. Her items basically included one room of furniture. The first mover, who’s name I do not remember assessed my items and wanted to charge an additional $1,000 over the original estimate. When I refused to pay, they informed the folks at Everest that they would not be completing my move because I treated them poorly. The next mover arrived 2 days later and collected our items for transport. I confirmed that they would still be able to deliver within the desired timeframe and they confirmed that they could. I flew from NC to Boston, on Friday, Sept 1 to help my daughter settle in. It is now Monday, sept 4th, 3 extra nights in a hotel, and two airline ticket changes later and we still do not have delivery. As I head back to NC, still with no delivery, I am told they will arrive later today. What’s most troubling is that when I contracted with Everest, I was assured that they would handle the full move and the price and delivery date would not change. Yesterday, I learned that once the delivery changed hands, I was actually under contract with the actual movers and not Everest. I have to admit that I was warned by two actual, full service movers, that this could happen. My biggest regret is that I did not listen.
Buyer Beware: This is not a moving company, it is a 3rd party company. All your doing is paying them to find you a moving company at which the price they give you has nothing to do with the price of the move. They will not tell you any of this information upon contact. Save yourself money and call a direct moving company yourself.
I have moved a hand full of time with a moving company, and this was by far my best experience. My relocation specialist was amazing. The move was stress free, with great communication. I will use Everest every time I move.
I made several moves this was by far the best experience yet. Thank you to the team at Everest.
Had a Great experience!! Thank you!
