Collected our new MG3 yesterday. Never had such a relaxed experience from a car dealer. Never forced into buying extras. We dealt with Daniel Neve, which was a pleasure. Felt like we'd been friends for years. He lives close by and has offered to collect car and take it in when first service due and bring it back. Great family dealership.
I have purchased my MG HS Trophy, I have to say the service and qualify of professionalism I have received is second to none. I was dealt with by Dennis, super guy, with years of experience. What a fantastic magic guy. The whole experience has been amazing. I will be recommending to all of my friends and family.

Eric Stead is a great dealership and garage. Over the years we have both bought cars from them and also used them for ongoing servicing.The team are always friendly, polite, helpful and professional.I have just collected another vehicle on Thursday (S5), and this has triggered me leaving this review. Picked up my new MGZS a few days ago dealt with Simon from start to finish, first went to look at a ZS around 12 months old but luckily Simon advised us that the new MGZS was coming out soon so opted for the new model and Simon even picked out a registration number for me that looks like a private plate,I believe that the advice given about the service plan was great so if you are looking at the new MG range contact Simon

Everything has been very good from the day we arrived without an appointment to look at a car to the day we collected the car.Good opening hours. Car arrived quickly and we were kept up to date. Arranged last minute paint protection. Explained the car well. Explained all payment options. Daniel went above and beyond what could be expected

Great experience in a nutshell, Chris from the outset was honest and transparent, he offered us a very fair price for our trade in, unlike most other dealers we visited. We really liked the way we were treated, a real sense of service that can only be experienced at a family run dealership. The hand over was very easy, Chris was so helpful, doing things for us that we normally would have to do. We signed up for the MG service plan knowing the 50 minute drive to Eric Stead from home will be worth it, our car and us will be in very caring and capable hands that we can trust. This company is excellent purchased two cars through two different sales team members they are brilliant and cannot fault the service and they way we were always made welcome as though we were the only people purchasing nothing too much trouble and we would definitely highly recommend.
On Saturday, I drove from Sheffield to Scunthorpe to look at a £20k car. I was handed the keys by a friendly fellow. I found the car was grubby, it was being used as personal transport by a salesman. It reeked of vape. I drove off, and there was a very obvious high frequency clicking noise coming from the front of the car. Electric motor bearing or gearbox input bearing on the way out was my diagnosis. I handed the key back to a red-faced salesman. Bear with me. The following day I visited Eric Stead and met with Simon, working on a Sunday when most people take the day off. My experience there bore no relationship to my experience the day before. Very knowledgeable fellow, not pushy, makes a decent coffee. Needless to say, I bought a fantastic Volcano orange MG4 which I am very excited about. The whole process was fast and seemless. I have had excellent service and communication from my initial visit to the showroom in Sheffield to the delivery of my brand new car.The whole experience was very professional and made buying a car a very easy process. I would have struggled to collect the car however I was very impressed when the suggestion was made that it could be delivered to me. The staff were all very helpful, honest and friendly answering all the questions I asked, in full and all the information I required was easy to understand.My experience with Eric Stead has been brilliant.A Great friendly company with no pressure or hard sales and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them to anyone wanting to buy a car. This is the first time we have used Eric stead’s and I have to say, what a wonderful experience it was, I work in retail management and would offer the gent Chris I think his name was a job tomorrow, he didn’t judge us as when we’re not working we always dress down, we had looked at other retailers earlier on the day but nothing was on a par with your company, as with reviews your company NPS is 100% , the car was for my wife but when the new sports model arrives I will definitely be giving it a view, I have already recommended your company and Chris to several friends and family, well done 10/10 it wasn’t the high pressure, in your face selling you get from other car sales company, thank you so much , dave & Tracy 👍
What a perfect experience me and my daughter travelled to Eric Stead of Sheffield from Norfolk we were met at the train station and given a lift to the showroom to pick up her new car we dealt with Daniel and Simon both very professional and knowledgeable and what I liked about this company is no pushy sales just genuine people I would 100% trust this company and definitely go back even though we’re 160 miles away as their customer services was impeccable

Certainly a five star firm. Just had my second service today on my MG HS and wow. They look after you with courtesy and the service was done quickly and efficiently. No problem waiting as comfy and great hot chocolate. Since first ordering our new car two years ago we have been so impressed with this firm and the car. We will definitely be staying with them for next car.
From ordering my new MG to picking it up was a great service from start to finish . Eric Stead are a family business and deserve their 5* reputation . I was extremely happy with the price they offered me for my car in part exchange . From the no rush test drive and right up until the hand-over was professionally handled . I was treated with courtesy and respect at all times by friendly and proficient staff . I have no hesitation in recommending them .
