BestPricePhoto , AJRichies.com, eDigitalUniverse, They Keep Changing Names...
FAKE COMPANY...!! STEALING YOUR MONEY...!!
BUYERS BEWARE...!!! DON'T BUY AT ALL...!!!
These guys keep changing names from Primotronics to Best Price Photo to America Camera to AJRichies to eDigitalUniverse & use fake addresses & customer Rep names..!!
Just check reviews on BBB website (Better Business Bureau) to find how many complaints against them..!!
I bought about $1650 Nikon camera body from them in 2012 ...!!
Called them for about 2-3 months.... sometime on hold for more than 40-50 mins, only once they answered to tell that order already shipped from overseas & will receive in 2-3 weeks...!!
NOTE : Never give them your real number or if you already gave them your phone number, then try to contact them with another number, otherwise they keep all customer's phone numbers in database & when we called, they check from caller ID & if it matches from their database, they never receives it..!!
Never received item, nor they refunded & then closed business & opened with another name... You can't do anything after they closed business as credit card company or bank unable to process your complaints..!!
I'm writing this review after 3 1/5 years of my purchase, because i just found out that eDigitalUniverse is the same company as BestPricePhoto...!!
Thanks...

wow. just wow
Worst online customer service I've ever experienced. Ordered an external flash. They called from a blocked number. I didn't pick up since I didn't know what it was for. They sent me and email saying to call them back to confirm the purchase. Couldn't get through after ~20 min. Luckily they called back after I replied to their email. They called to tell me I ordered the Japanese version (Definitely not specified on their site) and that I needed to pay more to get the English one.
This was actually nice (or so I thought) since I wouldn't know what to do with a menu fully in Japanese. The price they gave me was still cheaper than what I've seen out there so I went for it. They charged me on the spot.
It's been just about a full month and no package. I called them to inquire about the status. (I believe) The same guy picks up (which was a miracle in itself) so I start explaining the situation. He mumbles something and puts me on hold. I never heard from him again and I will never shop here again either. Cancelled the payment with my credit card company and filed under a fraudulent charge since I can't even get through to cancel with them directly. Sigh.

Poor experience on all fronts
I received my order about a month after I placed it - due to the product being on backorder. They claimed that they told me the product was backordered, but I don't have any emails to that effect. Also, I had to call them twice to find out what was going on because the aforementioned unreceived email didn't arrive and from my perspective there was zero communication about the backordered status of the order. They were entirely unapologetic about the delay and lacked any iota of empathy for the customer experience. Additionally, most businesses charge for the product once they ship it, not when the order is placed. eDigitalUniverse, however, charged my card when the order was placed, even though it took over three weeks for the product to ship - which is contrary to the way most online businesses, in my experience, operate, and very business centric vs. customer centric.Lastly, the packaging on the product was a padded priority mail envelope mailer, which feels inadequate for a camera. Naturally, the box containing the camera was damaged - and lacked some of the things I expect with a new product, like a manual or warranty information.I don't expect to ever order from this business again.

Won't Refund Money
This is absolutely the worst online shopping experience I've had. I ordered a camera in June '15 and received a confirmation email. That was it, from then onwards I've had no communication from them. They billed me for the camera and never delivered. After calling multiple times and speaking to the same individual (with the thick accent) they said the camera was stuck in customs and could not be delivered. So on July 22 I requested a refund. They sent me an email saying a refund would be issued within 48-72 hours. Today is August 06. No refund to date. Finally I called Discover and reported this transaction as a fraud. Please stay away from these people. They are nothing but scam artists. Oh, and they are extremely rude and hang up on you if you ask questions!

I have no idea how this business hasn't been closed down.
I am about the laziest person in the world. I have never written a review in my entire life, good or bad. But with my experience with EDigital so far, I feel like I must. I purchased a camera July 3rd and was promised to get the product in 5-7 business days. I was promised a tracking number 2 days after making my purchase. 2 weeks pass (still haven't gotten anything) and I call endless times begging for a tracking number and the same individual says to call back another time, and/or they can't find the number, but he assured me it was shipped july 7th. After waiting two weeks and dealing with the same sketchy individual, I called him and said just don't even send it because I know you haven't because I have yet been sent the tracking number because I want to cancel my order. After he laughs at me and mimics me about how I got free delivery and how I shouldn't complain, he said since its been already sent, I cannot cancel now, I can refuse the product and get 100% of my money back. So after waiting 2 weeks and calling this awful company, I finally get a tracking number the next week (3rd week) and get the product and refuse it as told. So I call back to let them know I refused the product and he said I will end up paying a 15% restocking fee. Straight lied to me before. So he called back and said if you'd like we can send it back with a free battery to make me happy and a couple of other things, and we will overnight ship it so it'll reach you in 4 days maximum. I made him promise me over and over that it'll reach that Tuesday when he said it would. its now 4 days past the date he promised endlessly. And when I call back for that individual, they give me the run around and ignore my question and just say to call back tomorrow. I just want my damn camera. I can't wait to call better business bureau Monday, as well as my credit card company to settle this. Bunch of liars who don't follow through with anything. My camera was 810 through them. Brand new with more accessories, it was 750 on ebay. Brand new at best buy its 950. I WISH I BOUGHT IT FROM BEST BUY. The stress and time put into this isn't worth the 140 dollars I saved.

if it's too good to be true... then it probably is
I ordered a camera through this site, which at first glance seemed legitimate enough. However, once I submitted my order, red flags popped up everywhere: I had to call to confirm my order (it's 2015, who does that?!); they tried pushing batteries and SD cards which I clearly did not want or I would have put them in the cart; I was told the camera was a "Chinese import" (never stated anywhere on the web page) and if I wanted the US version, it would be $100 more.
Fine. I confirm the order...I wait....and wait...and wait... (no tracking number provided of course), so countless calls, fruitless conversations with rude representatives and false promises later, it FINALLY arrives--22 days after the fact. The camera did not even ship until 2 days ago, what was happening for 20 days? Furthermore, a mystery $16 foreign transaction fee appeared on my bill, not forewarned in any email. Customer service skirted all my questions and were extremely unhelpful.
I would send the camera straight back, except that their return policy is "a minimum 15% restocking fee," among many other bullsh** caveats in order to scam you out of your money. The product itself is fine, but my experience with this company was awful-- not worth the price for the anxiety and frustration that lasted 3 weeks. Everything about their process was unacceptable, I would highly discourage anyone use this website. If the price seems too good to be true, it's because it is. Wish I had stuck with a reputable company, all I can do is help others avoid the same experience.

Worst online shopping experience ever - STAY AWAY FOR THE LOVE OF GOD
I had exactly the same experience as Jason below, and from what I read I can tell it was not an isolated incidence. I did get my camera approx. five (yes, FIVE) weeks after I ordered it, but my experience was so horrible that I feel it's my obligation to report it.
They had a great price on a camera, so I ordered it on their website. The day after they called me to make sure I ordered a battery (WHAT? NO BATTERY?). Of course the price would go up by like $170, and no it was not specified on the webpage. I refused to pay more, and asked that they just ship whatever I paid for. The guy sounded rather annoyed, hardly a sign of good customer service, but he said fine. I was not charged, nothing happened for 7-10 days, until I call and the same person, I think, made it pretty clear that I had to approve the upsell if I wanted to have the camera in a reasonable time. The overall price was comparable to other sellers, though there were others cheaper around, so I gave in and approved.
The moment I closed the call, my credit card was charged and I received an invoice etc. (now that's efficient, right?)
It's not over. Since the day I was charged, I called about 6-7 times to check on my order, not counting the times that I was put on hold or couldn't reach them. First they mentioned some delay because the camera was being shipped by the producer, not them, but it would arrive "definitely" by July 18. I asked many times to let me have the tracking information, but never received it. Guess why, it wasn't being shipped. In fact, it got shipped later because apparently it was on back-order, I received tracking info and I got the camera on July 27. At least this time the people on the phone were actually nice and seemed to understand my concern.

Bait and Switch Scam
I was looking for a particular camera lens and had been researching prices on the internet for some time when I noticed that edigitaluniverse had the exact lens I was looking for at about 40% cheaper than the next best price I could find. Fantastic!
I order the lens and receive a call the next day telling me that they wanted to "confirm" my order. The representative on the phone starts telling me all about the lens and how great it is (and it is). He then asks what model of camera I will be mounting it on. When I tell him he says "Oh this lens is not for that camera, but I have a better lens for your camera." I listened and he said "I can get you another brand lens for your camera for nearly the same price and it’s a better lens." I was familiar with this alternative lens he spoke of and I also knew that this alternative was not nearly as expensive but still a decent lens. I knew I was not getting a great deal, but I was in a time bind as I'm leaving on a trip and my previous lens had just broke. So I said “sure send me an invoice” for the alternative lens.
I receive the invoice and the alternative lens is not the one I had anticipated from our discussion on the phone. It is a much lower end lens that is not close in capability to my original order. The price you ask? About 40% higher than what I could pick this same lens up from one of several Amazon vendors.
In the meantime, I receive calls from edigitaluniverse saying my credit card company is rejecting the purchase and that THEY HAVE THIS PROBLEM FREQUENTLY. Out of curiosity I phone my credit card company and they tell me that this vendor triggered a fraudulent charge mechanism and that is why it was rejected.
Apparently the credit card companies have caught on to these guys.
Today I purchased that same lens I attempted to purchase from edigitaluniverse at a local brick and mortar store and it works fine with my camera body. It was a lot more expensive, but I got what I wanted with no attempts to sell me a lower end product for more money.
My advice stay far away from these guys, very shady.

Very poor customer service, deceitful sales tactics, broken promises
They had the best price I could find for a camera I was interested in, so I ordered it off their website on 6/21 (Sunday), didn't get an order confirmation. Monday 6/22 I got a voicemail and email asking for me to call them about my order. They wanted to make sure I ordered a battery, since they don't sell batteries with their cameras (has anyone ever bought a new camera from a legitimate reseller that didn't come with a battery?!). Their website doesn't mention this at all, because it's really just a ploy to upsell you to a more expensive package deal. The package price was comparable to others around, so I approved the upsell and was told it would arrive in 5-10 business days. I got an invoice at that time, and they charged my credit card. On 7/8 (11 business days later, even accounting for July 4 holiday) I called to find out the status and was told the camera is on back-order and I wouldn't get it until at least the 15th. I don't know why they don't bother to inform their customers of this type of delay, since I would've cancelled my order or not placed it in the first place. This was unacceptable since I was leaving for vacation the evening of Friday 7/10, which is the reason I was buying a new camera. I figured 18 calendar days would be more than enough time to ship a camera. They agreed to expedite the shipping after I asked them to, delivery "guaranteed" for Friday 7/9. Roger W was actually polite during this conversation, unlike any other conversation I had with them (the others weren't rude per se, but they weren't polite; like I was bothering them). It took multiple calls over a period of two days (each call being transferred and put on hold 2-3 times because their phone system is a mess) to get them to send a tracking number (since I didn't trust anything they told me at this point). Come to find out that It didn't actually get shipped USPS 2-day Priority Mail until Thursday 7/9, so it wouldn't be delivered until Saturday 7/11 after I was away on vacation. Long story short, I demanded a refund and will refuse the camera if USPS doesn't return to sender while I'm away. Based on their previous lies and general incompetence, I have zero confidence that they will refund my credit card in any decent amount of time, but I have no problem getting my credit card company involved to get my money back.
EDIT 9/4/15
Well here we are over 2 months after placing the order and this story is finally over. Upon my return from vacation I refused delivery of the camera on 7/21. After it made it back to the distributor it came from, eDigital called to ask why I returned it on 8/3. When I advised them that I expected a full refund to my credit card like they guaranteed, they agreed and said the charges would be reversed in "10-14 business days". This would have been 8/17-8/21. I then got an email from them on 8/6 saying the refund would be applied "within 48-72 business hours" (8/14-8/19). They obviously can't keep their lies straight. But giving them the benefit of the doubt, when my card was still not refunded I called on 8/24 to demand my refund. This time I spoke with Roger, the same person who was helpful to me before. Turns out that was a ruse, as he was the opposite of helpful this time. Or maybe it was a different Roger, I don't know. Either way, he said he didn't know why my card wasn't already refunded, and that it would be refunded on 8/28. Having blown away any semblance of trust I had for them, I asked for a confirmation number, document, or email that stated as such, but Roger proceeded to hang up on me.
Giving them the benefit of the doubt that they don't even come close to deserving, I waited until 9/1 to dispute the charge with my credit card company. One call to my credit card company, and the charge was reversed and I can buy this camera from a reputable vendor now that my funds are available.
STAY AWAY FROM eDIGITAL!!!

Sketchy
I ordered an external flash. The money never came out of my account and I never heard anything for a couple weeks. Finally I get a call from a blocked # and a voicemail to call, followed by an email to call them before I was off work and could call back. So I called and my flash wasn't available. They upgraded it to a "better" one that's normally $60 more for $20 more. Then they tried to run my card and the bank declined it because they thought it was fraudulant. They called me and I approved it to be run. They ran it and emailed an invoice. Fast forward to today, 3 weeks later, I've emailed them to try to track my order and haven't heard back. They money was debited from my account. So where is my flash?

Terrible ...3 weeks later no camera
3 weeks ago I ordered my camera with standard shipping (8-10 days)...its 21 days and haven't received confirmation. If they told me from the get-go they don't even have the product, I would have cancelled earlier.
I am trying to call them to cancel and although I called at 9;32am, supposedly open at 9;30am, their is an answering machine claiming they are still closed.

SOLD ME A USED CAMERA!
I bought a Lumix camera on digitaluniverse on 6/9/2015. 10 days after I placed my order they called and asked if I would like a battery with it. The Lumix has proprietary battery, so I was confused. They said it would be another $50. This put the price above Amazon. Annoyed, I told them to just go ahead. I received the camera after 15 additional days. They sent me a used camera that is falling apart and has a huge dent in the flash. The auto focus doesn't work right, and due to the dent I can't use a any flash accessories. This is the type of internet retailer that makes their money by selling used cameras as new products and then try to charge additional for a battery that should have come with the camera. This is a real scam! Beware! Go to Amazon instead. I make a lot of internet purchases and it's been a while since I have been scammed like this.

Couldn't get my product in time, helped me cancel order without hassle
I ordered a Nikon D3300 because the price was great. Sadly I was informed that it was out of stock and I wouldn't get my product in time. They worked with me to cancel the order and sent me proof of cancellation over the phone and via email.
Thanks for the communication on the matter! It goes a long ways!

Buyer Beware Unexpected Price Increase
I had reviewed all the websites for an affordable camera and stumbled upon edigitaluniverse. The price seemed to be amazing and I placed an order to prepare for a trip to Canada in 2 months. I got a phone call from the company trying to sell me add on items and that there was no free shipping- which was one of the reasons I bought the camera to begin with. They wanted to change a 60 dollar insurance policy on top of the price. Please be wary of buying anything from this company. This seemed too good to be true and ended up being a big headache. I canceled my order with them, hopefully they don't charge my card after this.
Update. Today I received a call asking me to change my review if keep my order open and they send me the camera sooner with a free case. I said I would like to keep my order canceled and thanks, but no thanks. I hung up after that. Hopefully they don't try to contact me again.

Advertised Pricing is Not Honored
Much like another reviewer, I ordered a camera that was advertised as on-sale. I never got an email confirmation. Instead I got a call and was told the camera does not come with a battery (say what?) and do I want a 2 hour or 6 hour battery. I ask how much and he says $79. I say no and then he says $59. I cancel the order and research what comes in the camera package on other sites and no one sells the camera without a battery! Basically they lured me in with an advertised a price they were not honoring and then tried to jack the price up once they had my information.
I reported this to my credit card company because I fear this is a very disreputable company.
Also they very cleverly created a company name on their site that looks like Digital Universe. Digital Universe has a good BBB rating while Edigital has none.
Additional Note: 4 days after posting my experience, this company tried to challenge my review with Trust Pilot saying I did not provide proof of purchase. Obviously this company knows they do not provide proof of purchase to anyone who orders over the internet at a price they advertise but will not actually sell it for. I see they have challenged other reviews on Trust Pilot for the same reason. I was able to supply an email from Edigital saying I need to call them about my order but I bet other customers just got caught off-guard with a phone call and no email so they can not "prove" their less-than-honorable experience with this company.

Got a deal
So I googled these guys and they seemed to have the best price on a new t3i camera. I placed my order and got a confirmation email. Ordered a case & memory card got free express shipping. Got my camera in 5 days with extra stuff and still made out with a deal. I'm impressed & will be back.

Great camera
i bought a camera from these guys because I was traveling. I was a bit skeptical at first to use online companies, however, once i received my camera as promised with all the extra accessories, (at no charge), I was so happy. The quality of the pictures are great and made a big difference on my trip.

BEWARE!
Never received item, never sent shipping tracking, even though they told me it shipped, the same guy answered every time I called; gave me several different stories every time I called. I have already contacted my credit card company. BEWARE! Called me the following day and told me I would receive a full refund if I took down this negative review that I posted. When I told them I would not take the review down he threatened me saying I would not receive a full refund. When I again said I would not, he hung up the phone on me. Very unprofessional.
How is this "company" still in business??? I have reported them to Better Business Bureau. I advise all of you who read this to do the same.
