Won't Cancel donations
Seeing the plight of children in third world countries through their advertisements we decided we could afford to donate on a regular basis as human beings having compassion.After hearing about support of ISIS brides we decided this did not fit with our moral compass and to give our funds to another charity. I emailed them several times asking to cancel our donation and phoned four times and got a recorded message to leave details and one of their staff will return a call. It simply didn't happen.Today I had to contact my bank and cancel my card linked to my payment(really inconvenient) as it is the only way to stop them taking our money. So sad that it had to come to this as I am sure it will affect human beings in third world countries but they have not put out any media release to try and explain their motive and in turn will ruin there funding. I have now read so many reviews that have the same outcome.

Why are you helping ISIS supporters to enter Australia
They are assisting in the return to Australia of known terrorist supporters (isis brides) and their kids who in some cases are not Australian citizens. These people have been in Syria for over a decade and most likely radicalised. Truly despicable to participate in something that poses a risk to Australian national Security and Australian citizens.

I used to work here for two months, terrible experience
I used to work here for two months, absolutely insane how management treats employees and I, I’ve cried at work because of my extremely aggressive and rude manager, then called a cry baby, I’m only 18 and trying to figure out my life, I just got out of high school and for these three months I’ve been throwing up from stress. Not to mention I just did a ton of research, save the children has 68 charges as of 2020 from harassment and way more. I also don’t have a permit to work in public train stations, but we work there anyway and it’s illegal, we been kicked out more than I can count and we still go back. Save the children also barely sends money to children, they lost 30 million dollars from INVESTING with another company in 2023, why is that even needed?? So much more I can say, I’m about to quit my job today after finding all this out. Never donate here. EVER, just find local charities to help out instead, trust me.

They came to my house to ask for 1 time donation. One month later I discover that they enrolled me in Monthly donations without informing and without my consent. I cannot trust this organization.

I don’t have any experience in donating to this charity however I am sick of the continuous advertising on the television which costs a fortune so instead of wanting hard working Australians who are themselves suffering from financial hardship to donate, USE the money you spend on advertising to put back into the charity.

I visited projects with Save The Children Switzerland professionals in the field in Malawi and I was incredibly impressed with the work being undertaken and the results being attained. These charity workers are extremely dedicated and carry out life changing projects.

If you wish to cancel your monthly donations in order to donate to another charity, they will refuse
I want to stop my recurring monthly donations as I wish to donate to another charity instead. However, despite multiple emails back and forth, they have refused to cancel my recurring donations. So it looks I’ll need to ask my bank to change my credit card number so that they’ll stop. Due to their poor supporter experience I can’t recommend this charity. There are many other excellent charities that support children out there which also allow you to make changes to your donations if you wish. This is not one of them.

Save the Children is Not Neutral – One-Sided Support
I used to support Save the Children because I believed in their mission to help all children in need, regardless of their background. However, I was disappointed to learn that their humanitarian aid is selectively provided, focusing only on Palestinian children while disregarding Israeli children who also suffer from death, violence and trauma.In a recent response, Save the Children justified this imbalance by stating that the Israeli government has not requested international aid. However, humanitarian assistance should not depend on government requests—it should be based on the needs of children, no matter where they live. All children deserve protection and care, not just those from one side of a conflict.Additionally, Save the Children's use of politically charged language, such as referring to "Occupied Palestinian Territory," undermines their claim of neutrality. A truly impartial humanitarian organization should not take political positions but should focus solely on providing aid to those in need, without bias.Humanitarian work should be about saving children—all children. The fact that Save the Children applies a double standard raises serious ethical concerns. I can no longer support an organization that does not uphold true impartiality in its mission.

They tell you you can have correspondence with the kids then cut it offI'm not giving my hard earned money so that kids in Africa can have clean water. I did it for the connection albeit small with the kids in the US so I just opted out and will give my 59 a month to a better cause.

We are regularly sent updates about what our donations are doing. Fantastic coverage across multiple countries enables STC to reach needy kids around the globe. Reassuring to know the money is being used to help kids rather than political agendas.
