The DNA results I received did not…
The DNA results I received did not align with the expectations and information provided by the breeder or my dog’s physical characteristics. When I contacted customer service for clarification, I was told the results were accurate but did not receive the level of explanation that I was hoping for. Based on my experience, I would not recommend this company.

Avoid like the plague
Avoid like the plague. They reported my dog as 56% Shih Tzu, 22 pug and 22 Chihuahua. She definitely has Chihuahua but no way the other two. This company is definitely a scam artist. If I could have given zero stars I would have.

Highly do not recommend
I got the results back from my three month old puppy whose mother is a dachshund mix and has the DNA test results to prove she is dachshund and Chihuahua. They are telling me my small short legged puppy is Australian cattle dog, great Pyrenees, Rottweiler and other large dogs. There is no way that’s accurate! A sibling of his was tested by another company and I feel those are way more accurate results also. I do not recommend this company. Do not waste your money. When I emailed the company to question this they standby their testing, and that’s totally fine but choose wisely when you are looking to get DNA results for your dog!

Do not buy!!!!! They are a scam. Our results were definitely bogus and the company stood behind the inaccurate results. And refused to refund our money.

Liars, Thieves, Crooks...
DNA My Dog contacted ME as a reputable dog breeder and asked for me to submit DNA samples from my dogs in exchange for free results as they established their baseline database. I agreed to submit testing on 6 registered, purebred dogs with results promised in 8 to 12 weeks. After numerous emails requesting results, I've still never received anything from them. It's been 18 MONTHS! This company has absolutely zero credibility and stole DNA from my dogs in my opinion. I'll never do business with them and tell everyone who asks not to either.

They just said my dog was what I…
They just said my dog was what I entered in to the suspected breeds box. The results they gave for another dog are absurd. I wonder if they even have a lab. Avoid this scam company. I am not sure how they stay in business.

Tested twice 2 years + apart w/DNA my dog
I tested my dog as a puppy, and then decided to do an upgraded test and allergy test for fun a couple years later. At first I thought it would be funny if they gave me a different result - turns out it wasn't funny. After some back and forth, their customer service? person Angie resorted to gas lighting and condescension, ending with suggesting I see my vet - which makes no sense. If you are doing the test, make sure it's just for fun, as the information is not reliable and this is just a gimmick. First test seemed accurate and fit with my dogs looks/behavior. 4 breeds given - and I had included a picture of my dog. The new test gave only 2 breeds, and I did NOT include a picture this time, to see if there was any influence on the results the first time... I guess there was! Her allergy testing was wrong as well - I knew of one allergy for sure, but the test came back that she had no sensitivities to it. When I queried about the different results, they said the first test must have been wrong/contaminated and that I should see my vet if I am unsatisfied with their results.

Unlikely results
I think the results I received from DNA My Dog were completely inaccurate. When registering the test I was asked what breeds I thought my dog was.Suprise surprise - these were the top 2 breeds in the results - and the rest were extremely unlikely

DNA MY DOG is absolutely a SCAM
DNA MY DOG is absolutely a SCAM; save your money you'll just be throwing it away. We have a Black Mouth Cur female dog & their results came back as 32% American Staffordshire Terrier, 21% American Pit Bull Terrier, 16% Mastiff & 14% Bernese Mountain Dog... What a joke, not even close then they'll tell you they will re-do it for FREE and supposably they did with the exact same results... SAVE YOUR MONEY, how a company can cheat people out of there hard earned money is awful...

Horrible test
I have used the test before when they had a smaller database, I thought with the new database they would be better. I was wrong, the results were garbage. I have the pedigree on the dogs that were bred along with Embark DNA results and it is not even close (they are Pomskies). I complained to the customer service and I got the most BS answer ever why it didn't work. Apparently not all DNA is passed on I was told. Which means that if you have an Asian person and a Caucasian person have a child the DNA test might only show the one? What an absolutely idiotic explanation for why their test is garbage. Don't waste your money, get the DNA testing done by a company that actually knows what they are doing.

Got the certificate for my dog breed
Got the certificate for my dog breed, and it came out as 3 big breeds, which nothing like my small dogs. Don't buy it from here, better spend that £75 for a good dog food and some dog toys.

I found this service to be very helpful…
I found this service to be very helpful and kind in dealing with me about our beautiful deceased little dog. Alex in particular was very friendly and helpful and the results make sense based on what we know about our dog.

Incorrect DNA results
The result for my dog showed poodle/chihuahua. I knew his mother was a bichon yet zero bichon showing and we don’t even know anyone with a chihuahua. We followed all instructions regarding separation from dogs food toys to the letter.I had the test redone with another company and came back bichon/poodle - zero chihuahua. They refused a refund nor admit they screwed up. I would not trust this company they are untrustworthy and a total rip off - unprofessional

I'd like to give them a zero rating but…
I'd like to give them a zero rating but doesn't seem to be an option. The sent my my dog's test results (a bit late, but we got them), but there is 0% chance they are correct. Nothing correlates to how my dog looks or behaves. Personally I subscribe to the couple of guys in a garage theory. Don't waste your money (wish I'd checked the reviews first).

Learn from my mistakes
We have 7 dogs. Mom (supposed to be a lab/cur mix), dad (supposed to be purebred lab), and 5 of their pups. The pups are about to be 7 years old so I decided to test 1 to start and see what breeds might be lurking in the background. I waited quite a long time first of all. I messaged at one point and they said to check my junk mail because when they received the test they emailed me however there was no confirmation email from them anywhere. Finally, the results arrived today and it says the 1 dog I tested is 100% lab. Since I have mom and dad I KNOW this company is lying. He would be 3/4 lab at best IF the people we got the parents from were honest. I would ask your vet for a DNA test and spend a couple extra dollars if you want to know. I'd be hard-pressed to imagine that there's any kind of lab or scientists where the results are coming from. I'm picturing something more like 2 guys sitting in a garage emailing out fake results—a waste of time and money. Lesson learned.

What a joke!
Don’t waste your time or money with this company. We purchased a Chihuahua Puppy that did not come with papers. Just out of sheer curiosity we wanted to check his DNA. The results that just came back were laughable at best. 41% Chihuahua- 32% German Shorthaired Pointer- 27% Basset Hound. The latter 2 breeds which our almost 5 month old boy “supposedly” has, which also makes up more than half of his DNA according to them, are big breeds that also vary greatly in looks. We charted both of the 2 latter breeds at 5 months of age. Pups in those breeds weigh in at approximately 20-30lbs already. If my supposed only 41% Chihuahua pup was truly mixed with those 2 big breeds, especially having so much DNA percentage of each, his weight would be a lot more than his 4.8lbs. that he is as of yesterday when he went to the vet. Not to mention he looks absolutely nothing like either of those 2 breeds, zilch, nada, 0%! He looks like and weighs exactly what a Chihuahua should be for his age bracket. Maybe they mixed his results up with someone else’s dog or they’re just throwing out garbage results and ripping consumers off. I’m suspecting it’s the latter as they have a lot of bad reviews all over the internet. Wish we did our research first, our mistake! Like I mentioned above, save yourself the time and money and go with the other 2 highly rated dog DNA companies out there, wish we had. Unless you don’t mind throwing your money away like we just did.

Scam
My dog is not even close to what they say she is. im pretty sure they just put a random generator in there and send a email back to the customer. advised Petsmart to take it off the shelves. If you paid by credit card absolutely charge back that scam.

A great test for finding out your dog's…
A great test for finding out your dog's DNAWe adopted Honey Bear about three months ago from Centerton Animal Shelter, and it was a great match for her and us. About a week into fostering we knew we were going to adopt her but wanted to make sure. After the adoption we had to find out what her makeup was. We knew she was Lab but what else. So I started researching what makes up DNA testing, the process and other factors in determining what Honey's background. Looking online there were three DNA testing sites to consider. I chose DNA My Dog because it was on sale at an online store. After reading some of their reviews, they are just as reputable as the other major DNA testers. So I ordered it and two days later it arrived. On opening the package, the kit was fairly simple. The instructions are straight forward and easy to follow. Obtaining the sample is easy too. Using a swab, just obtain a sample from her cheek, set it aside to dry, place it in a sleeve and seal it all up in a post paid envelope. You are instructed to go online and register your sample with DNA My Dog to receive your results by email. It took a little longer for the DNA sample to arrive but within two or three days we got the results back.Honey was indeed Yellow Lab, but what surprised us was the rest of her DNA makeup. On walks she loves to sniff at everything. But what dog doesn't. We thought Beagle or some other hound mix. But it was 50% Lab, 37% German Shepard and the surprise - 17% Doberman Pinscher! Looking at her tail, I can see the Shepard mix in her and now looking at her frame, can see the Doberman. So I am happy with the results.Along with the percentage make up of Honey's DNA, we also got an idea of the traits of each breed of dog represented in her DNA.It describes the breed of dog, then How they Show Their Personality, How to Care for Them, How to Build Your Bond and How to Keep Them Healthy. It then describes for each breed What Makes Them Special. This is given to help you make a special bond with your pup.I had contacted DNA My Dog two times. Once inquiring on the status of the sample. Second time requesting a little more information on the results. Both times I received a response very quickly. The answers to my questions were answered professionally and had all the information I was seeking. So, yes I would suggest DNA My Dog to you for finding out the makeup of your K9's heritage and you'll also get personalized service to your questions.

Terrible, rubbish, don’t buy
I asked my husband for 2 Dna tests for my birthday as I have 2 rescue dogs. Both results couldn’t have been more incorrect. It’s all rubbish.. the breed and the age absolutely far from being correct. So disappointing. The company should be shut down. Please don’t waste your money.
