Use someone else!!!!

Late last year I used DB Automotive for the second and final time. I leased a Mercedes A Class hybrid which I opted to upgrade with a number of different parts. Front Grill - incorrect front grill added to the car. Black badges - badges were poorly applied to the car and in less than 24 hours they started to come off. Upgraded alloys - I was told the incorrect price for the chosen alloys and wasn’t made aware of the price increase until the deposit was due. Weeks had gone by at this point and we were desperate for a car. Charging port - incorrect information was provided regarding which type of charging port was needed for the car. When questioned on this they were adamant about incorrect information- we trusted them as they are supposed to know what they are doing. Handles - our door handles were supposed to the black, they even showed us a picture of a car with black handles before delivery. When the car arrived the handles were chrome - it looks awful. Throughout the process communication was dreadful. Junior staff constantly getting stuff wrong and management to busy to reach. We needed the car delivered due to not having another car and the delivery date kept changing. They delivered the car on the latest possible date we shared - probably knowing we wouldn’t be in a position to turn the car down. The car was delivered at 7am, and there was no one to speak to about the issues so we were forced to accept the car from the delivery company and told to take the issues up with DB. When we tried to do that DB refused to take ownership of any of the problems creating a bunch of excuses. They also refused to provide a replacement car for them to fix the issues they caused knowing we only have one car. Don’t trust them. Don’t use them. Don’t waste your time or money.

Refused Cash Sale – Only After Maximum Profit

Enquired about a car, was looking to part-ex. I got a better price on my car, so I asked to just buy the car outright - which was a NO! The sale would be at the asking price of the car, but as it was a cash sale, they would lose out on finance commission, part-ex mark-up. So the deal wouldn't suit them and openly said they would look for the best 'deal' that worked for them!Would stay well clear of these.

Great Service

After several days, Danny advised there were no issues with the car after extensive tests. He could have ripped us off but didn't.Nice trusted guy. Hope his business flourishes, he'll defo get my next job and be recommended to anyone.

Having read some of the previous reviews - I feel it’s important to provide balance and shout out great service where it’s warranted. We want to say a huge thank you to Ste who looked after us throughout the purchase of our new car - BMW M135i. Ste was incredibly helpful and accommodating, evening coming in to work when the shop wasn’t open to accommodate our commitments. Ste answered all our questions with honesty and was not pushy at all. We were really impressed that as a result of the full health check, the car had alloy repairs and new brake pads and discs ahead of our collection. The car is in pristine condition and runs like a dream! Thank you Ste, we have one very pleased member of the household who’s waited a long time to find his perfect car!

Bought a car expecting it to work

Bought a car expecting it to work. Broke down on way home. They expected us to be grateful they fixed it and uplifted the car. Lasted a couple of weeks and broke down again. Throttle body issue. Warranty wouldn’t pay out as they said the garage didn’t show it was broken. I was advised by the company ‘what do you expect, you bought a second hand car’. Lasted a few weeks again then exhaust and fly wheel have broken. £1328 to fix and warranty won’t pay any. It’s wear and tear. Never again will I set foot in that place. Worst decision ever to go there. First mechanic said to me’ get rid of that car it’ll cost you no end of money’ he was right. Getting rid now. Cost me £6000, I’ll be lucky to get back £2,600 with £2,000 of repairs.

Do not get black packs

Good contact with them pre sale. I opted for the black alloys/grill etc on my Mercedes and would definitely AVOID. They have been done poorly and cheaply, my alloys and trims are now chipping and will need doing again professionally, I’ve only had the car for 6 months and they were done just prior to me getting the car.

Great pre sale, poor after sale

Great pre-sale service and help,Poor after sale service and help,Purchased a A180 at the end of September, lovely looking car.First thing we noticed was the side skirt had been squashed without telling us, I was offered £100 towards the fix.Second thing we noticed; the wheels had started to peel – This is something I still need to fix.Third thing we noticed – The paint started to peel off on the lower bumper, sent photos to DB and they said ‘Oh that’s stone chips ‘ I Replied that no plastic primer was used and the paint can peel off with finger nails – No ReplyFourth thing and worse – The radiator started leaking over Christmas, sent to our local mechanic who found a bolt down there, which we presume was from when they changed the big grille.DB took no responsibility; Warranty took no responsibility £1200 bill out of our own pocket. Big email sent by my wife to DB – No reply.Now we also found the brake discs are warped. So No, I wouldn’t recommend them to any of my friends, or foes for that matter.

Stay away, BTEC led company!!

Stay away!!They're literally just a team of conmen led by Sam. All they do is greedily take your deposit, and not fulfil any of the considerations they make. Genuinely do your finance with a different companyYou are genuinely better off going with another broker. These guys aren't the greatest.They will get you A car, but literally A car, but not the best car that you could get for the price. Not sure where to begin. The workers start getting annoyed and throw indirect insults at you if you begin to reject the 2nd car that they've proposed.Picked up a car, turns out the CarPlay is faulty, and the car has a lot of deep scratches, as well as the dashboard being damaged, and then the owner, Sam, just gives you any old waffle by saying thats the best that they could prepare it to, without informing you of the damage before hand.The Vehicle was registered at a shocking 1,000 miles less than the actual mileage, literally making you lose out on a lot of money as PCP is mileage dependant, they also told me initially that the agreement will be 10k miles per year, and on the day they put it down as 6k!They also claim to reimburse you over travel which they do not actually do.You cannot sell a car, with this much damage - without even informing me, especially considering they've fraudulently manipulated the mileage figures.

Recently bought a Mercedes E Class…

Recently bought a Mercedes E Class E220D from Danny Bond DB Automotive and can’t recommend them enough. The car we bought was stunning and the service we received from Steve Mann was first class from start to finish.
