Canceled on short notice with no explanation
My wife and I were really looking forward to this experience. This was to be our special anniversary celebration, taking the place of a night at Anniversary Inn or a fancy dinner at Franck's, so I planned it out weeks in advance. I had contacted the site admins with some questions when I was considering signing up for a Cozymeal experience, and they went the extra mile to check with Chef Luis and create a special one-off meal experience for us to sign up for.Unfortunately, the night before the scheduled meal, Chef Luis sent a brief message to say he wasn't available the day of our class, and it would be canceled. I didn't notice that message in the app, so thankfully he also sent a text message the next morning.This was a huge disappointment for us--it was the only day in November that we could arrange for someone else to watch our 5 kids so we could enjoy time alone. And now it was too late to make any other special arrangements, so we just ended up going to the movies.My wife was really upset: "If I could give negative stars, I would. They cancelled at the last minute for no reason. There was no explanation, no attempt to reschedule. The chef just cancelled the night before. This was supposed to be our anniversary celebration and instead it was a total letdown. I would never schedule with them again."I recognize the day we chose (Black Friday) may not have been the most convenient, but the website showed that Chef Luis was open for classes, and he accepted the booking more than 6 weeks in advance. He really could have been a lot more proactive about checking his schedule, or at least more considerate in how he went about cancelling.I'm giving 2 stars because our money was refunded without any difficulty, and I appreciate the added effort from Cozymeal to try to accommodate my questions and request for a slightly customized dinner. I just wish we could have had the experience we were so looking forward to.

Barbara was amazing
Barbara was amazing! We had so much fun taking her class. Along the way we picked up local ingredients that we then used. The ravioli's we made were delicious, the addition of lemon zest was a game changer. We're inspired to try making them again at home! Alongside cooking tips we also got to hear about how Venice has changed over the years and local recommendations (including the best spot for gelato!). As we did this early in our trip we found her recommendations and advice very helpful in planning some of our later activities. Thanks so much Barbara! We highly recommend this experience. And please give your cat a little extra snack from us, we loved meeting him!

Chef Akamai delivered a hibachi experience for all ages!
We had a fantastic experience with Chef Akamai! The food was outstanding — fresh, flavorful and cooked to perfection right in front of us. But what really made the night special was the energy he brought. Chef Akamai created an engaging, interactive experience that had everyone — from kids to grandparents — laughing and fully engaged!

We had an amazing time with chef ShaSha! She was very knowledgeable, sharing with us tips and tricks from her years of experience while also teaching us about the cuisine we were making. She asked what our preferences were before we started; if we wanted to be more hands on or hands off with the cooking and if we wanted any advice/input on our technique as we went. This helped curate an environment that made us comfortable and suited us best. Not only is chef ShaSha knowledgable, but she is fun and enjoyable to converse with. We had so much fun and would absolutely cook with her again! Thank you chef!

Chef Shahida was absolutely fantastic. She made the whole experience so fun, and we learned so much. Our pasta turned out amazing, and she explained everything in a way that made it easy to remember and actually use later. If you ever get the chance, invite Chef Shahida into your kitchen—you’ll learn skills you’ll use forever, and you’ll have such a great time doing it.

Fun and comfortable cooking class
Really fun and comfortable experience taking a cooking class here. The class is in a converted house, which makes for a really interesting space that can accommodate cooking, a dining area, and plants and an outdoor garden that provide some of the ingredients you cook with! We took the Distinctive Tastes of Thailand class - food was delicious, and I appreciated learning about each individual ingredient and how it contributes to the recipe. I'm not much of a cook, but I felt at ease and empowered in the class, and came away with a some new skills, knowledge and recipes in my arsenal.

Had a wonderful experience booking through Cozymeal! The process was seamless and the class itself was amazing — Chef Paul made Korean cooking so approachable and fun. We learned to make Gimbap and Bibimbap from scratch, with great hands-on demos and tips. As a vegetarian, I really appreciated how accommodating he was. Would definitely book again through Cozymeal for another class!

Cozymeal Made It Easy to Find a Great Chef and Cooking Class!
Four of us (two couples) found Chef Li through Cozymeal, and signed up for her "Chinese Soup Dumplings" cooking class. It was excellent! Chef Li was engaging, fun, and clearly loves to to teach and even just to talk about cooking. We brought our own wine, and Chef Li provided everything else. We did the class at Chef Li's home, which is very nicely set up for small cooking classes like ours. The preparation was loads of fun, the food was delicious, a great time was had by all -- and we all agreed that we will take more Cozymeal cooking classes with Chef Li.

Me and my husband did a Thai cooking class with Carmela and had a really wonderful time. She was very knowledgeable and made the experience so much fun. Also, everything was extremely clean and done safely. We definitely plan on doing more cooking classes with her.

Delayed gratification
My kids purchased a gift card for my birthday. Unfortunately, I had to cancel my session because of a couple deaths in the family. The gift card did not expire so it was no problem to schedule 11 months later when life settled down again.The class itself was fantastic! We learned so much and had a wonderful date night out.
