Our Classic Journey trip to Cuba was the trip of a lifetime. We learned so much about the country and its people It gave us the opportunity to interact with the Cuban people with open and honest discussions in both urban and rural settings. The guides were knowledgeable and they enhanced our enjoyment and overall educational experience.
The Classic Journeys Cuba walking tour, we just did at the end of Jan. 2026 was a REMARKABLE trip for me. This was my first land tour (I've done a river cruise and Alaska cruise) and I wasn't too sure what to expect. I was pleasantly surprised at the reasonable starting times each day, the pace of the day's events, the mixture of walking and taking local transportation to various sites, the great food experiences, meeting so many different Cuban people and learning from them about Cuba culture, history, how they are thriving in today's current environment. Classic Journeys did a phonemail job in crafted a 7 day Cuba walking tour that far exceeded my expectations. Their attention to detail and follow through to give me an expectational experience was event everyday. I (we) will definitely be taking another tour with them AND have been telling everyone we know how fantastic this tour was. This is a MUST tour for all Americans who want to learn more about Cuba, it's people, history and resilience.
Great activities. Superlative guide. Get to meet local people. Wonderful hotels. We got to see the Northern Lights twice during the week.
Two days on glaciers was ok but would rather traded the first day for a hike to other viking ruins. First day on the glacier was to crowded. We learned a whole lot more 2nd day. All in all it was a great trip. Very much enjoyed Atli.
This mid-winter trip to Iceland was as fun and exciting as the other three trips I have taken with Classic Journeys... and there will be more. Iceland is a place of extremes and superlatives, and we were able to experience it with a terrific Icelandic guide, Atli, who knows the backcountry just as well as he does the highways and all of the places and people in between. It was truly a breathtaking adventure that was punctuated by more moments of awe and wonder than I can count. Well done!!
Great guides. A unique learning expedience
Incredible itinerary, music from the Havana Jazz Festival as well as local musicians at multiple venues. And the guides...Audrey and Jesus were superb.
What a wonderful trip! Our guides, Audrey and Jesus were so knowledgable and fun. I fell in love with Cuba and the people thanks to them. I didn't know what to expect and the trip went above and beyond what I had imagined. We danced, we cooked, we hiked, and met so many beautiful people. Thank you to everyone involved!
What made my experience was Audrey and the entire team you have put together. The group was very knowledgeable and I truly enjoyed their company . I will stay in touch with them. Audrey , besides being so intelligent , detailed oriented , warm and wiling to go out of her way to accommodate her guests interests was the best group leader you could possibly have asked for. You are fortunate to have her representing Classic Journeys. I am typically not a traveler who goes with groups but I know I would not have met and had access to the people who we met with. One thing I would suggest is to tell people to bring more spending money. Especially if they would want to buy photography , art work … Also,Possibly have a photographer documenting the trip . It would be a nice gesture. All in all , 10 points
We took a trip last April to Viet Nam, Cambodia and Laos. Let's first start with our guide Hai. He was fabulous. And that does not even begin to say how special he was. We were a group of 16 diverse individuals and he brought all together. We could not help but like each other because of our guide's energy. Simply put, if I knew Hai was guiding another trip I would not hesitate to go. The trip was also fantastic. While i will admit it was a lot of hotel changes and flight, still worth it. This is our second tour with this company and we look forward to our third.
The guides were well-versed in the local culture and attentive to everyone's needs. There were special "surprises" built into our trip every day that were a delight and set our trip apart from what we could plan on our own.
Our trip to the Galapagos was spectacular! So well organized and just the right size small group.

Trip was everything we expected and more. Great guide. Intriguing, immersive experience. All senses stimulated and deeply educational. Note: on some days long bus rides; delicious authentic cuisine doesn’t always agree with American tummies. The Sahara, Ait Ben Haddou were even better than shown in the movies.
Knowledgeable guides, local expertise, varied experiences that are appropriate for a wide range of ages and abilities. We felt we really got to know Cuba and we got to bond as a family. Amazing, once-in-a-lifetime trip!
We felt so well taken care of from the youngest, 7, to the oldest, 75. It was the trip of a lifetime.
