Atrociously complicated and backward

Atrociously complicated and backward - wasted 20 minutes of my life. App required and does not accept bank cards that expire in 2026. Called their technical assistance line and their online payment line and both are down. Hopeless.

find another supplier .....

I can only agree with the other comments - no customer services at all - no one answers the phone despite repeated attempts, responds to Twitter or emails. Having an electric car is a waste of effort at present until infrastructure actually exists and works...

Gave 1 star as zero isn’t an option

Gave 1 star as zero isn’t an option. Only leaving review on here to inform other users as I see they don’t even respond to these. Customer services seems literally nonexistent. Left same feedback on Twitter as my email bounced back: Tried to charge car in Moreton-in-marsh a few weeks ago, as usual didn’t work but yesterday a £4 charge has appeared on my card. Email bounce back, call when trying to charge wasn’t answered and yesterday just rang and again. Is CYC still trading?Have tried in numerous places but failed to either successfully charge my car or contact them. This is the first time they’ve actually charged me for not charging my car though. I’ve now reached the point where I don’t see the point in having an electric or hybrid car.

Useless

Useless. I visited 2 different locations near Lewes, West Sussex, yesterday, with less than 20 miles of range showing, and both were broken/showing a fault/developed a fault once plugged in, repeatedly. Took 10 minutes for "Customer Services" to answer - and they "were unaware and could only call out an engineer", and MY CARD HAS BEEN CHARGED (to which they couldn't do anything "because it doesn't show on their system"). Why doesn't a broken location automatically flag up to them??

Check your debit/credit card statements!

Good points are that they are easily contactable by phone and try to help. But when it came to charging the annual card renewal fee, a pending charge of £793 hit my credit card! My credit card company were not particularly interested as I had authorised CYC to charge my card. Eventually the pending charge was corrected to £20 and all was well but CYC did not explain how such a substantial unauthorised charge had been attempted saying merely that it had been an administrative error. So be very careful.

Amateur hour comes to e-car charging

Amateur hour comes to e-car charging. Power cuts a speciality.Successive failures by this company. £20 for a card, which on the face of it is good value, 5 chargers within a few miles of my house. None working. One was a test one which worked for a week or so, the other in the Wentworth car park in Hexham, hasn't worked in the seven months since I first told them about it not working. If you lose your card, just call up, and if you are lucky enough to get through on the phone, you are told you have to buy a whole new card. Stay well away. Unhelpful company, with no apparent maintenance or repair departments. Very Brexit Britain, fur coat and no knickers....
