I tried to cancel the policy via email 5 times with no answer along 3 months. Finally they got back to me 2 weeks before the end of the policy and told me that I should renew the policy because I did not give them 1 month notice period. Incredible! They just do not answer to clients and expect us to renew. Prices are also outrageous.
There’s not better news than the day you are leaving Axa Health for another company.
Spanish/EnglishEl 14 de julio, mi auto se descompuso en la carretera 332 en Alicante. Tenemos una tarjeta de estacionamiento para personas con discapacidad de color azul. Mi esposo tiene 86 años y yo tengo 76 con osteoporosis. El servicio de asistencia de Axa dijo que tendrían a alguien allí en 20 minutos y que no dejáramos el auto. Tres horas después; bajo un calor intenso, sin agua, el teléfono se quedó sin carga después de 4 llamadas a Axa y amigos para que nos ayudaran. Un servicio de asistencia llegó. Un hombre muy amable nos dijo que tuvo que conducir desde una llamada en Benidorm y se disculpó profusamente. Al día siguiente, en la oficina de El Campello, nos dijeron que merecíamos una disculpa y una compensación de 60 euros. He estado pagando a esta empresa durante más de 10 años y solo he tenido un pequeño reclamo de casa. Vergüenza para ellos. A partir de hoy, 19/11/2025, todavía NO hay disculpa y ni un céntimo de compensación. No puedo esperar a que mi póliza termine para poder cambiarme a una compañía confiable y mejor. N.BOn 14 of July my car broke down on the 332 highway in Alicante. We've a blue parking invalid card. My husband is 86 I'm 76 with Osteoporosis. Axa breakdown service said they would have someone there within 20 minutes and not to leave the car. 3 hours later; in the fierce heat, no water, phone ran out of charge after 4 calls to Axa and friends to help us. A breakdown service arrived. A very nice man told us he'd had to drive all the way from a call out in Benidorm and profusely apologied. Next day at the El Campello office we were told we were due an apology and €60 compensation. I've been paying into this firm over 10 years and only had one small house claim. Shame on them. As of today 19/11/2025 still NO apology and not a penny compensation. Can't wait till my policy is up so as I can to a reliable, better company.
If I could leave zero stars I would. We realised we couldn’t see my Husband’s motorbike insurance on the Spanish DGT app. Investigations revealed they had cancelled the insurance but had taken the payment! Every time we email asking for a refund, they reply with a number to ring and speak to someone in English as our Spanish isn’t yet good enough. But there is no one available and they assure us they will call back but never do. We are going round in circles. No insurance and yet they took our money. I have asked via email several times for their full address so I can complete a Hoja de Reclamaciones but they just ignore that too.
I’ve been a customer of this company for several years, and everything was fine as long as I simply paid my bills on time. In May this year, my parked motorbike was damaged by another vehicle. I contacted AXA to handle the claim — and that’s when they showed their true level of “professionalism” and competence.After submitting my claim, I received no updates until I started chasing them myself and asking questions.They sent me for a damage inspection, but when I arrived, there was just an old man with a mobile phone taking pictures of the bike in the street — and that was it. I had to find a proper garage myself to get a real assessment done. On the day of the inspection, an AXA representative was supposed to attend, but I only found out he wouldn’t show up after I called them myself.Throughout the whole process, they repeatedly ignored my questions, gave vague and evasive answers, or didn’t reply at all. I requested documents related to my claim several times, but never received anything.Yesterday I finally collected my motorbike after “repairs” — only the superficial damage was fixed, while the bike still has visible misalignment (the handlebar and rear section remain bent).It’s now been almost six months, and my situation is still unresolved. I have no idea when or how it will end.Dealing with this company has been nothing but stress. I absolutely do not recommend AXA to anyone.
Trying to cancel my dad's car insurance (in Tenerife) after he passed away. It has been 15 months. No reply to any of my 20+ emails. No reply to my 2 letters of complaint.I have never experienced anything like it. They tried repeatedly to put through the renewal 13 months after his death. When it failed ( due to bank account closure) I got an automatic email saying. >>Para cualquier aclaración no dudes en ponerte en contacto con nosotros>>yeah right. Out of all the things I had to deal with - they have been the worst.Their website for who to contact to escalate - emails just bounce."Your message wasn't delivered to comunicacion(at)agrupacio.es because the address couldn't be found or is unable to receive email."Escalating this now to the ombudsman. Let's see if they answer. & just for record - i speak fluent Spanish. Mum is Spanish & Dad is english.
Only giving 1 star as there is no lower option.... If you have never experienced 3rd world living conditions,I highly recommend opening a policy with AXA and you will get exactly that without having to travel to a 3rd world country
This company does not even deserve 1 star. My home suffered water damage at the end of September 2024. The water leak was repaired quickly. It is now September 2025 and I am still waiting for repairs to laminate flooring, doors and their frames and trims, wooden stairs and redecoration of damaged paintwork and a replacement shoe cuboard. I've been visited by 4 different sets of carpenters, 2 different decorators and one assessor. Last carpenter visited 29th May 2025. The bathroom door actually stuck and I was unable to open it because of the warped doorframe. Have sent Burofax to relevant departments. I'm still waiting

From July 10 until today, I have been fighting to prove the obvious: that this visit never happened, that I was never scheduled for it, and that it has absolutely nothing to do with my policy.Since July 20, I have been sending messages, emails, and proof to both my broker and directly to AXA’s health department. And what has AXA done? Ignored me. Not a single explanation. Not a single apology. Not a single responsible answer. Terrible company. Had home insurance for spanish property. I wanted to cancel my policy two weeks before renewal. My error, they need two months notice apparently. Anyway, they took my money for renewal and cancelled my policy anyway! Absolute jokers. Avoid like the plague.
Paid premiums every month, but when I needed a specialist, they claimed it wasn’t included. I had to pay out of pocket anyway.
Extremely poor management of my car accident: I was not guilty but I had to pay the bond anyways. Then I received the invoice for the next year with a significant rise. I quit AXA and got OCCIDENT, my house insurance.

Don't touch this company. They took over my health insurance from Agrupació the management is a disaster. Customer service agents are rude and uneducated. I have had to pay an abogado to send them a Burofax to advise them that they cannot legally change the date of renewal on a policy.Worst experience with a Spanish insurance company ever

How come I get a refund from an airline within a few days and with an insurrance company it takes months and still you don't solve the problem?NEVER EVER WILL I TAKE AN "INSURRANCE" FOR A FLIGHT - AT LEAST NOT WITH YOU!!!HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE!!!
Where to start? They bought out the Atlantis, who I already had a policy with. Tried to claim, but they didn't recognise the policy number. Got sent between about 6 different people, each time on a phone number with at least 5 menus and a wait of 20 minutes. Then I'd get cut off and have to start all over again. Didn't receive anything about renewal, but then I didn't actually take out a policy with them to begin with. Tried to contact them to cancel it anyway - because who knows what they will do. Cancelled the direct payment. Send an email, send a letter, call them. They still take 500€ from my account. Call, ask for a refund, again get sent between many different people, no one knows what's going on. Try to email again, get sent various different email addresses. No one ever replies. Call again, get told " the migration Atlantis to AXA has gone really badly and everyone is complaining". They've still got my 500€. Don't know how they get away with it.

I booked 3 different doctor’s appointments on the web.After booking, I received no email or SMS confirmation, and I couldn’t find the booked appointments on the app or website.So I called and asked for the appointment details I booked so I’d know which clinic to go to and which doctor I’d be seeing.The agent asked me to verify 5 things: my NIE, full name, address, phone number, and insurance policy number.After staying on the phone for over 10 minutes, she said, “No.”And mentioned that she couldn’t confirm which appointments I’d booked or guide me on where I should be able to see them on the website or app without any reasons.Absolutely ridiculous, they’d rather let someone die instead of letting them know the details for them to get healed and live.
