Concerning
So i am writing here because I was interested in this course however upon reading the reviews the only one that actually give a nice full written review that seemed very thoughtful and well written but had some negative things to say. Why was this the only review that ABD has not directly relied to. I just want to say that this has driven me away from this course. If you cant give an explanation or a hey thanks we are going to try and fix that. Then you clearly aren't in it for the students or the learning.

Good for novices, paying for title not for learning
I did this because I wanted to LEARN, I didn't just want to pay a bunch of money for a certification, otherwise I would've gone to a more respected and reputable certification organization that is actually asked for on job applications (this may be better for business owners or those working for themselves). I consider myself an intermediate level on these topics and wanted to learn more but the education was very novice and introductory, it did not challenge me at all. I was disappointed also that the testing/quizes were very easy and open note and that we had to buy multiple books but they were never brought up in class. The instructions from professors were sometimes more in-depth but other times they said directly that the book covers most of the stuff and this is supplementary. This was frustrating because I did not pay thousands of dollars to learn from a book I can buy and read on my own. I the discussions were occasionally thought provoking or challenging but it was common that once one or two students replied the rest were just copying their answers. Many of my peers also seemed to either not be giving full effort (not reading instructions, not thoughtful responses), so I hardly got anything from the discussions. I did get some good feedback from professors but students but their involvement was limited. Overall, I was disappointed at what I actually learned and feel more like the point is not education it is to pay thousands to easily skate by and receive the title. One could very easily not buy/read the books, guess on quiz answers until you get 100%, and cheat through the final exam and gain very minimal actual knowledge. Knowing what I do now, I would not have a lot of trust or faith in someone with this same certification to actually be knowledgable or capable on these topics. To be completely honest, I do not think about half of the students I interacted with should get to call themselves a Certified Canine Behavior and Training Specialist based on the low-quality of discussion responses and lenient education.

Great courses, amazing tutors - truly awesome!
I have taken five courses with Animal Behavior Institute, and I know that I will go back to do more! The courses are fascinating and the tutors are so knowledgeable but down to earth at the same time. The help that they give is invaluable, I can't thank them enough for their encouragement and support.
