Sketchy billing system

I would like to say that while having 3 surgeries last year, the anesthesiologists kept me alive, so I appreciate that, but it has been a nightmare dealing with billing. First of all, it took months to get a bill. Then when I did, I requested a discount as a cash paying customer. They promised me that they would honor the same discount that I received from EIRMC, so I provided them with the documentation of the discount. It took 9 months for their billing service (Coronis Health & Anesthesia Business Consultants) to approve a discount, and when they did, they only gave me a fraction of the discount they promised. I since have attempted to use their payment portal to set up monthy payments, but the system does not work - it keeps posting an error message saying I need to enter my email, but there is no field on the screen to enter my email. I have called the 1-800 number for Anesthesia Business Consultants multiple times over the past two months (the new billing company for Intermountain Anesthesia), asking them to get this fixed, but they either say they are working on it or that they can't fix it and I just need to give them my credit card info over the phone. They also said that they cannot provide me with a receipt of charges until the bill is paid in full (which could take up to 6 months after it is paid), after I asked if they could email me a receipt if I set up payments over the phone. This seems very sketchy to me because this company is located in the Philippines and the Customer Service agents can hardly speak any English. I DO NOT feel comfortable giving my credit card info over the phone to someone in another country. I have also emailed with a "Supervisor" of this company multiple times and she has now stopped answering my emails. I have also attempted to called Intermountain Anesthesia directly multiple times to discuss this issue and they never answer the phone. So I finally went into their office to see if I could just pay them directly and they were very rude and said no, I have to deal with the billing company. They rushed me out of the office because they didn't want other patients hearing this conversation and they said that they can't help me. This is the most frustering situation I have ever experienced while just trying to pay a medical bill in a legitimate way. I have still not been able to pay this bill or set up any payment arrangements and it has been 11 months since my surgery. I only received one bill in the mail for one of the proceedures (even though I know there are actually 3 bills) and I have had to pursue them myself in every way to try to get this paid. I am concerned that I am going to end up getting a collection notice in the mail and have a ton more fees tacked on - all due to their lack of professionalism, faulty billing system and refusal to allow me to pay them directly. I have saved all of my records and documentation of phone calls to them, emails, etc. - just in case, but I am posting this long review in hopes that Intermountain Anesthesia will contact me to set up payment arrangements with them directly since their "new" billing company is just as bad as the last one. I am an honest person who pays my bills, but I don't think I should have to be subjected to this run-around and rudeness just so I can set up payment arrangements.

Apparently the do the billing for… "multiple anesthesia organizations"

Apparently the do the billing for multiple anesthesia companies. When you call to make a payment or do so online based on contact info on the paper statement you get people on the phone that don't even know their own business name. A complete scam. They have been reported to the hospital that I had my procedure at.

Do not fall for this scam!!

Do not fall for this scam!!! Not a legit business. Foreigners that disconnect the calls. Do not give your SS # to them! This is not a true medical billing company. Buyer beware!

Robbers (((( BE AWARE ))))

BE AWARE....Never pay this company early as I did, and then it showed that they owed me $277.20. We are now in 2017, and I have been fighting with their "Accounting" and "Customer Service" since October 11, 2016 to have my refund back......Since October 5th this company has known that they had to pay me back the money. Despite this we after October 5 receive several calls to my wife, saying that there is a outstanding payment, if she can pay by creditcard.....Totally like a fraud company. Latest promise that they would pay was in December 19, 2016......and we are now in 2017....So, be aware of this company....FRAUD, and Lies, and Poor management..Now Providence takes over my battle with them!
