Mis leading sales tactics and liars
Our first point of contact was the sales person over the phone with Steel Masters. We were originally calling just for quotes and specs. However he sold us stating that had a bigger building that the sale had fallen through on and he offered it to us for the amount left owed on it. He said it was a rarity those deals come along. He had us hook line and sinker. He went on and on about how if we invited the family and some friends we could get the building erected in a 3 day weekend! LIES, LIES AND MORE LIES. 1st ill start by saying the closer up sold us on the base plates and having the end walls painted. Then he forgot to mail us the new slab directions. In turn we poured the wrong dimensions for concrete. He blamed it on the shipping department and the shipping department blamed him. But no one could help us with such an expensive error. Then when we went to erect the arches we had family and friends over and we rented a scissor lift for a week and we couldn't even lift 1 single arch in place with out it twisting. More money wasted. We hired a contractor who has taken a year working on it and it's still not up. Because none of the contractors we call out for quotes specialize in quonset huts they either quote outrageous 600,000.00 or just never quote us and never get back to us. This building was meant to be our home. We are 2 years in and it's still not fully put together. Steel Masters sell on the illusion that it's simple, quick, and cost effective when it has been nothing of the sort. Then when confronted with their own mistakes and misleading sales tactics they are aggressively defensive and have ZERO customer service.
