This is more of a 3.5 star review. The bike is great for what I got it for. I got a 2022 SR, 3 years ago. Its quiet and it gets me to work and back with no issues. I got it for this reason knowing I wouldn't use it for long trips. I would ride it to work and back and plug it in every night. The bike has plenty of charge for my commute but if I wanted to take it on a 150+ mi ride I would need to make sure there was charging stations and be prepared to wait for it to charge. This can take up to 4 hrs depending on the charge left on the bike and the stage charger The issues I have with it are with some of its parts and the Cypher upgrades you can purchase to get more from your bike. The cluster that tells you the amount of charge, speed your going, etc. scratches easily. There are no protectors and ZERO offers just sad advise on how to fix it. As far as the cypher upgrades, they do help considerably with the range and performance but they should be unlocked when you purchase the bike from a dealer. I would not buy another one. It was a fun ride but 1 is enough for me.

Bought the bike used. Battery failed withing a few months. Had it replaced. This part was not Zero's fault. The rest is. Zero did not send the correct harness for the new battery. Delay. In the process of installing the new battery, it shorted out a control board. Zero didn't want to cover that cost when it was clearly the upgraded battery that caused the issue. Had to argue the point with them and finally got them to agree to cover the cost. Further delays. Finally got the bike back from the shop and the belt failed. (less then 4k miles on the bike total). Got that fixed. Then the new battery died. Back to the shop. was told the battery would be covered under warranty, but not the labor. Just over a year since replacing and less then 400 miles. Had to call and argue the point. Zero finally agreed to cover the $500USD labor as well, but it was like pulling teeth to get them to do so. I've decided to sell the bike once i get it back and will never deal with Zero again. Too bad, the bike is really fun to ride, but it's been in the shop more then on the road.

It should have been a great bike.....for 22K
I have owned my SRS since July 2022, it has done 21k miles, I am now on my 8th drive belt, (yes 8!) The last one failed after 7 weeks, It clearly isn't fit for purpose otherwise the teeth would not keep falling off. Zero have claimed it was either under or over tensioned, but on most occasions it was fitted and tensioned by the dealer, I have carefully observed the "running period" and had it re-checked by the dealer but it makes no difference.Other problems experience - It didn't like the rain, I kept getting error messages, the dealer managed to fix this my using bathroom sealant! Head and wheel bearings both failed prematurely, rear swing arm failed when a weld cracked and the coating on the motor has all peeled off so it looks tatty.I would think very carefully before spending your hard earned money on a Zero motorcycle.

I wish I knew the reviews and experiences before purchase. Appalling experience, wasted money and I think the end of Zero is in sight as retailers disappear . I lost money buying this bike. Few resale options as limited retailers working with selling Zero. Nothing but problems from the start. The belt for my Zero S is the equivalent a push bike might contain. Feels nowhere near substantial enough and despite doing about 14k miles I am on the third belt and a belt should last 24k. Problems with the belt currently are cracks on the current belt with less than 2000 miles done but Zero say this is fine. Some problems with retailer but 3 pin plug charge option never worked and retailer wants 1000 pound to fix this. So my bike devalued by this post warranty identified issue. Expensive purchase and unreliable and a bike to steer well clear of.

Rain renders it a brick
Would be a great motorcycle if they didn't breakdown in the rain. I currently own a very expensive brick. All it would take is proper testing, and some decent engineering. I wonder if this doesn't unfortunately spell the end for electric motorcycles as Zero have failed.

Atrocious company. You spend a lot of money on very expensive bikes and they don’t work properly. Even worse is they have no customer service whatsoever and completely ignore support emails. Do yourself a favour and don’t buy their bikes.

Never seen my battery on 100%
Never seen my battery on 100%...nor a decent reply from ZERO.I bought a brand new ZERO FX in March 2021. After customizing it a bit (higher seat, bar risers, peg lowering) because I am 1.93 meter tall, I wanted to start riding it at the end of April.Right away I noticed my battery was never near 100%. Also not while it was plugged in. First ride it was 62% (while plugged in for approximately 2 weeks). Some investigating taught me the battery drained 3% per day (dealer told me this was due to a always-live OBD-port?). In the ZERO manual is mentioned, and I quote: "When connected to the charger, the power pack will receive a full charge. Once fully charged, the charger will cycle between 90% and 100% state of charge. When the state of charge gets close to 90%, the charger will recharge to 100% and repeat. When fully charged, a green light illuminates on the dash."Unfortunately this was not the case with my bike; it just kept draining.The dealer was very helpful and agreed with me this was not intended behavior. After a few canceled tickets, ZERO agreed to investigate and said they found an issue with the on-board charger. It was replaced. However, the problem was still there. Again the dealer asked for my battery logs and send them to ZERO. This time they found another problem; now the BMS (Battery Management System) was not OK. They replaced it with an older version, but did not explain why. You can probably guess what happened; the problem was still there.And then, all of a sudden ZERO said it was intended behavior!! Wow. According to your own manual it's not intended behavior. The arrogance!I did not accept this and luckily the dealer refunded me and took back the bike. I really can't understand how ZERO can say it's intended behavior, while the manual states something else. Battery management is very important. Please be clear about this and don't treat your customers like they're stupid. When you promise something, do it or apologize and explain why you can't. My advice for possible customers: First do your research about the real specs of the Battery and BMS and don't expect too much customer service.For me never a ZERO again.

Zero provides ZERO customer service.Horrible customer service and account management. I have now experienced 4 months of waiting for a call back or support. They changed their staff (which was great (2016-2017) and now they have a non-responsive person answering calls and never relaying information. They simply don't care, no second opinion needed.

Awfull quality and no customer service : after 12.000 miles
In theory, these would be great product - zero emission with good acceleration - even if they are quite expensive. In practice these motorbikes are plagued with so many quality issues that you spend your time at the dealership. The worst experience for me started after the commercial warranty expired : the engine stopped working after 12.000 miles, making the motorbike worthless. After one month Zero's only answer has been "it is the customer's problem, not ours". My only option now is to sue Zero and my unfortunate dealer who's now facing many angry customers.Avoid this brand.
