Not intuitive

Not intuitive. There are several steps, which are not easy to follow, to transfer money received to your personal account. It's confusing and poorly laid out.

Before my account was accessed without my consent in August 2022, I had been a Wise customer for a number of years. The stolen amount was about $72,000 USD.Later, Wise admitted that I was a victim of a scam and that the recipient's account was deleted (in correspondence with a U.S. regulator). But in the end, they closed my account without returning my money.I took the issue to the UK Financial Ombudsman Service and their internal complaints procedure, but the outcome did not stop the loss.The lack of meaningful accountability despite acknowledging that fraud occurred and the inconsistent communication across various complaint channels are what most worry me.Before holding large amounts of money, I would strongly advise users to fully understand the risks and protections available.The lack of meaningful accountability despite acknowledging that fraud occurred and the inconsistent communication across various complaint channels are what most worry me. Before holding sizable balances on the platform, I would strongly advise users to thoroughly understand the risks and available protections.

I’ve been using Wise for international transfers and I’m very satisfied with the service. The transfers are fast, the fees are transparent, and the exchange rates are much better compared to traditional banks. The app is easy to use and everything is clearly explained. I especially appreciate how quickly the money arrives and how simple it is to manage different currencies in one account. Highly recommended for anyone who needs reliable international payments.

Do not use

My parter has been using wise for a while with no issues for normal account. Recently opened a new business account for work. They shut down the account within a week and have taken his wages and won’t disclose why and won’t return the money. He now cannot get paid his next lot of wages because of this. Cannot pay his rent or buy food. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. Stick with well known bank companies. The customer service was useless.

Possibly the worst money transfer system in use today

I used Wise for several months after we relocated overseas from the United States. We are a retired couple living off SS and Pension. The only transfers were made were from our US bank to our Portuguese bank. Suddenly WISE terminated us with no justification or reason given and when questioned refused to answer. This makes me think they are discriminating against us for some reason if they are so ashamed for their actions. After they terminated our account they continued however to send us marketing emails and texts. I asked them to stop and have continued to push them on their reason for the termination. Today they sent an email asking for my Whats App information so that they can discuss the matter with me? What are they afraid to put it in writing? I see on many websites this is commonly how they treat people. I would be very careful about doing business with them.
