We signed up for their service a year ago, and from day one the call quality was extremely poor. We constantly experienced connectivity issues with the app, frequent call drops, and static during conversations. It made the service almost unusable for business communication.Customer service was initially responsive, but after about three months they stopped providing real support. Every time we contacted them, they simply created a ticket and said someone would reach out “in a couple of days.” Nothing was ever properly resolved. They repeatedly blamed our internet speed, even though we use the same internet connection for Zoom and Webex calls without any issues.Recently, they added an AI-based automated customer service system. If you are an existing Vonage customer, the system never routes you to a live representative and keeps you stuck in an endless loop. The only way to reach a human is by selecting the option to purchase a new plan, which connects you directly to the sales team. Otherwise, you cannot speak to a real person at all.When we requested to terminate the contract due to the ongoing problems, they demanded a $600 early termination fee. Even worse, they renewed the contract for another year without my consent. Now they are threatening to charge another termination fee if we try to leave. When I asked for a copy of the contract with my signature, they claimed they were unable to find it — yet they are still insisting that we pay the fee.This has been an incredibly frustrating and disappointing experience. Poor service quality, lack of accountability, and questionable contract practices. I would strongly advise others to think twice before signing up.
Vonage Business has been extremely disappointing. The mobile app frequently disconnects from the phone, loses connectivity, and outright fails to receive calls. For a business phone system, missing calls is unacceptable — yet this happens regularly with no clear fix.The app routinely shows “no connection,” even when the phone has strong cellular or Wi-Fi service. Calls never ring, messages are delayed, and you’re left wondering how many opportunities you’ve missed. Reinstalling the app, logging out, or following support’s generic troubleshooting steps does not solve the issue.Support is slow and ineffective, often bouncing you between departments without accountability. Billing and contract terms are also frustratingly unclear, and getting real resolution feels intentionally difficult.A business phone system should be reliable above all else. Vonage Business is not. There are much better, more stable options available for companies that can’t afford missed calls and downtime.I DO NOT RECOMMEND. AVOID AT ALL COST!
I have been using Vonage services for about 20 years and can confirm that their product services are consistently reliable. Their customer services goes in waves between good and poor. Their sales teams that I have worked with seems to over sell their product so I would suggest start off with less and scale up and don't commit to long term contracts until you had at least 1 month to test out the services to make certain they are right for your needs, otherwise you will have to fight them with getting refunds.
Never able to reach anyone via phone. AI agent that they have is just pure stupid . Why they would enen go live with it if half of the popics she doenst understand. Been with them for 13 years and now got to the point I will cancel and moving to other better comopanies for alot less money. Do not go with thgem., Nothing but problems.
Ive been using Vonage for Business for just about a year now, and their support is HORRIBLE. Slow service, Contract renewal is the worst and their support is almost non existant. I am not sure what phone company is better but Vonage suc.....ks big time. They were good for the first year but are now rotten.
Absolute trash company. Lock you in to a 2 year contract with auto renewal and virtually imposible to cancel. They're a "phone company" that literally won't allow you to call them for support. No problem with their product other than it's very expensive
Our account was suspended without explanation after we contacted support after our account stopped getting SMS delivered. We have been a loyal customer for over 6 years with thousands of USD spent. If that is how you treat customers then we are unable to recommend Vonage for any serious business.
If they had a 0 star that is what they would be getting. I spoke with an agent last December for a quote for a 3 line business mobile app to run through my phone for 23 dollars a month, I verified with him that it wasn't just a promotional price for a month or two then higher and I was assured that it was going to be 23 dollars a month for a year and then would go up after the 1 year was up. The first month I was charged 23 dollars and then every month after I was charged 44 dollars a month. After two months of being up charged and calling about it I called them on 3/11/25 to cancel the service as they had lied about the pricing. I was treated like I was stupid and didn't understand how hidden fee's work and that I must have just misunderstood what the original sales man had quoted. I was very clear that I had asked ALL of these questions BEFORE signing up for the service and had done my due diligence. I received and email on 3/11/25 that I had called to cancel and it gave me a case number. I had assumed that everything was fine at this point. I will admit I don't check my bank account like I should and realized that they have still been charging me each month and have even increased the charges, they make it impossible to talk to an actual person on the phone, its all automated and when you do finally get to talk to someone its someone you can hardly understand and they will transfer you to 12 different departments. I was literally on hold for an hour and three minutes and they hung up on me. when I called back to cancel the service they again ran me through the same process, transfer to all different departments and then their "supervisor" belittled me and was incredibly rude! And apparently she didn't understand what cancel my policy ment as I have been charged for 10 months after the fact. I highly recommend NOT USING VONAGE FOR YOUR SERVICE. I can honestly say its been the worst phone service experience I have ever had or used.
service outage all the time. once a month our phone service goes down. We have been troubleshooting this for months. They won't let us out of the contract so we are paying for two phone services right now waiting on the Vonage service to end. would not recommend this company.

Our experience with Vonage has been nothing short of exhausting. Their customer service is a constant loop of being bounced from one team to another, each one passing the issue along without taking ownership. Technical questions go unanswered, support reps provide vague or irrelevant responses, and their API team defaults to “read the documentation” even when the documentation has already been followed to the letter.We’ve had an open API access issue for more than a month, submitted five separate tickets, and still have no resolution. Our account representative has been completely unresponsive, no replies to direct emails, no acknowledgment when CC’d on support threads, and no escalation of the problem despite repeated outreach.Beyond the lack of support, the reliability of Vonage’s services has become a daily frustration. We’ve dealt with dropped calls, outages, inconsistent service, and fax functionality that fails at random. These problems disrupt operations and waste significant time that should not be spent troubleshooting basic service functionality.At this point, it is clear that Vonage is not equipped to provide dependable service or meaningful technical support. Our experience has been marked by delays, dead ends, and systems that do not work as advertised.
We receive a notice from a collection agency for a Vonage account we can find NO record of owning. All of our services are handled by Verizon. Calling them for assistance sends you to a hamster-wheel of menus with choices that all lead you back to Square One. Their idea of customer service leaves a lot to be desired.
Vonage have suspended my account without giving me any reason and have not refunded me. If you want to be treated respectfully, do not use Vonage.
Trying to call for assistance was told only assistance is on the web site and I have to go to the website. A Telecoms company that wont answer the phone and help customers, Stay clear at all costs, use someone else

This is the worst phone company I have ever been with for my business complete garbage. They lie to you about features then have sporadic service all the time costing your business money left and right.
Horrible experience. We paid and absolutely no service is working. Spent hours on the phone, and the same problem every single day.

I signed up for service on the 26th, and was charged the agreed upon price the next day, then 3 days later received another charge for another amount, which was more. Contacted customer service to only be told it is normal for their credit card verification purposes, which makes no sense, as I just paid 3 days earlier and my card would have been verified at the time. What poor service and this whole scenario reeks of fraud. I cancelled and will be taking my business to a more reputable company that doesn’t play around with billing for erroneous things and then not processing immediate credits or reversals. So very sad!
