Try at least once, you will be in for a pleasant surprise!
I am a wheelchair user who lives very close to the Vegan Bay Bakery in Castlegate, Aberdeen. I have gone on many occasions for either takeaway or sit in goodies and have always felt extremely welcome, with smiles and easy chat all round. It has a roomy cafe area - something very important as an electric wheelchair user, and not something many big name cafes or bakeries think about. Access is level, and dispute the entry door being a little awkward to use when I am alone, the staff tend to spot me long before I reach the door and open it for me. Such a lovely touch. Now for the best part - the coffee and the food, from savoury to sweet. I am not vegan, but I am vegetarian, so initially I had been dubious about tasting breads, cakes and savoury items as many I have tasted before were simply put, somewhat unpalatable. Not so The Vegan Bay Bakery!! I am yet to try anything that wasn’t absolutely delicious, with none of the bland flavours so often associated with Vegan foods. Here, you will find mouth-wateringly delicious foods. The many types of breads sold are extremely good, and had I not known, I would never have guessed they were vegan.I recommend everyone to try this bakery at least once, you will be very surprised I am sure.
