A complete disaster of a network. They suspended my account with the absurd claim that I “manipulated search engines” just because I reposted my own articles from my personal blog. Total incompetence and zero logic.
This is my GENUINE experience.Ill be brief:• this website is a hateful and hypocritical. claims to be supportive of the lgbtqia community, yet the users in there spread negative stereotypes of the community like it's the truth• if you question their harmful preconceived notions, they will harass, slander and force you out of the site. the hateful conduct also extends off-site as well.• many of the users also commit the adultization of minors, especially fictional characters who are teens (either early, mid or late teens). while this site claims to be 13+, it does NOTHING to prevent minors from seeing or interacting with the adults with inappropriate conduct involving media made for those under 18. these teenagers are AT RISK because of such users.• users are NOT afraid of anonymously sending violent threats, harassment and suicide encouragement to those they dislike. Many people have been negatively affected (and I do mean it) because of them.STAY AWAY FROM TUMBLR AT ALL COSTS. IT IS AN UNSAFE WEBSITE.
I love tumblr's community but its terrible to use. Right now im having a serious problem with deleting messages from deactivated accounts. There's notifications that wont go away because i cant look at or delete the messages. If this doesn't go away the only solution is deleting my account. Also, Sometimes the post button doesn't work and i have to refresh the page which is bad if you just wrote a long post. And sometimes the actual button that you click to do something like like a post or reblog doesn't work and you have to click under the button. Also i miss square profile pictures please bring them back
They have updated their UI to be incredibly ugly and inconvenient and until it is fixed I recommend everyone boycott tumblr.
The only problem I'm having with this website is the inability to load things, images and videos in particular. I'M GETTING REALLY TIRED OF WAITING OVER A MINUTE OF LOADING JUST TO SEE ONE POST!!
Total garbage you come to expect from just about any tech company nowadays. They constantly cram what they want you to see down your throat. Tons of political garbage showing up in my feed each day in spite of my blog being non political and in spite of the fact that I do not follow any political blogs. Constant gay and trans stuff showing up in my feed each day, in spite of the fact that my blog has absolutely nothing to do with nor do I follow any such blogs . Yet, the very topics I follow seldom show up in me feed and must be painstakingly searched out. Over the years this platform has gotten progressively worse to the point that after years of using it, I finally deleted my blog today. Do better tumblr.
Appalling site. Signed on earlier in 2025 to enhance my pictoral research specifically historic garment construction and extent examples. Over the past two months Tumblr has become very odd & distasteful primarily feeding videos promoting abuse of cats into my "for you" feed. Reporting and complaining about these has ranged from useless to impossible. Deleted my account when Tumblr began pushing drug use & unsafe sex today. This is not a safe site.
Totally inexplicable closure of account. Long automated explanation which includes a mention of a user objecting to a picture I had posted? Which? Don't know. Why? Don't know. Is there an extreme right wing agenda in charge? Seems to fit in with others' experiences
Theyre ruining the website. Sucks now. Everything that was unique about it is being removed. Trying to be a twitter clone. Constant glitches. Will remove your account for no reason. They do not listen to user feedback and do whatever they want to the site.I want square profile pictures back.
I've been unable to see my own posts for quite some time now. I can post, but neither I nor others can see my posts anymore. Additionally, I can't view private messages I receive. I initially thought this was a temporary bug, but it turns out it's permanent. I really want to regain access to these features. Please help me restore my private messages and ensure that other users can see my posts again. This situation is very frustrating.
One year ago, I subscribed to Tumblr. A few days later, my account was terminated. I didn't know why. I contacted the support, but no answer.A few days ago, they sent me an email asking me to update my payment. Because I didn't have access to my account, I contacted them again. Still no answer.
It's an okay blog site, but taken over by trolls who tried to cancel me because I used certain tag a lot, and I disabled notifications because the comments are nothing but nasty. Never going back.
Clearly, this platform does not allow you to share the URLs of your blog post, as they just terminate you without notice (I was adding tags to posts), then keep asking for a URL to report. It took them about 15 days to finally respond (yawn) and they said I'm misleading people with my content and its spam. No, it's their stupid AI robot that is making mistakes as stupid bots do, and they have failed to provide any evidence, but their final thoughts on what their computer tells them to say. Bunch of sour candies. Reddit is exactly the same. Don't waste your energy on these platforms. They are clearly power hungry.
This platform is awful. They will terminate you without notice, even if you don't post anything. If they don't like the people you follow or if you 'like' anything they don't agree with, you are history. At least if they gave a warning notice or something to let you know something upset them, perhaps you would be able to remove the 'follow' or 'like.' This is one of those woke companies which has no idea about customer service. They hate conservatives. Stay away from these morons.

Efforts to contact the platform via telephone or written communication often result in delays, with responses potentially taking several days to materialize. They may never respond. There's nobody home, literally!
I enjoy using Tumblr. It has some good features, lots of interesting content posted by other members and some fun customization for your blog. However, my gripe comes from the lack of administrative action when it comes to bullying and illegal behaviour on site. It can take them up to 6 months to review a report, if at all. The administrators will also lie about taking action against bullying and have been known to ignore reports altogether. Defamation is common, so is discussions and offsite links to pornographic content displayed in full view of minors. This can be a fun platform, but due to the lack of administrative action is not a safe place.
My Tumblr was hacked or Tumblr themselves just took away my ability to send or receive messages. As soon as I notice this as one day I was able to receive messages & the next day not. I contacted Tumblr support. I explained the problem & included screenshots. I even went into great detail. Explaining where the message icon usually is and that it completely vanished. That I followed all the steps that were listed online to take. Nothing in my settings said messages were private and couldn't be received. Contacting them first was done on November 1st. The only response I ever got says, "Hey there. We got your email. We're on the case and will respond as quickly as we can". Again I received that message on Nov 1st. Nothing since then. Tumblr USED to be cool. Not anymore. I emailed seven times since with no response.Tumblr has become a site for HOES to literally sell their A$$ online. These HOES message you even if in your subject line it says for them not to. Sending photos of their body parts requesting money in return, and even offering to come meet you in person.Tumblr used to be a great site for bloggers and posters to have a place where they could be accepted for anything they were into. Now it's all for the HOES, and your children to have access to inappropriate information. As Tumblr no longer gives a f*** about you. #JustTheFacts
I don't know who review those posts on Tumblr, what I do know is they suspend blogs for no good reason. And if you ask them something about it they send you some empty answer. Don't waste your time on such platform who only want payed members with no mind of their own!Another social platform going to waste.Shame, it started great!
Terminating account as a first time action without any warning, explicit content marks, or marking the account as pixelated, and then simply offering 0 recourse or action to fix, or become within guidelines, for accounts that have been on tumblr for over a decade would immediately make your business fail anywhere else.
A time waster - Tumblr terminates good blogs for no reasonDon't bother wasting your time. After you dedicate months/years with hundreds of quality posts about innocent things like travel, you get automatically TERMINATED for NO reason.... NO explanation. I don't know why they randomly terminate good blogs?While my innocent travel blog got TERMINATED, I saw plenty of Tumblr posts with the F word all over the place.Even X or Facebook lets you know IF you break any community rules, but to terminate an innocent blog? Tumblr is ridiculous!I regret wasting my time on Tumblr. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME on this crap platform.
