This could have been a lawsuit

I was prepared to file a formal complaint with the Ombudsman against TIER Mobility Denmark ApS (Dott), but the 400 DKK filing fee made it unreasonable for a dispute of this amount. Instead, I'm writing this review to warn other customers about my experience. At midnight, with no buses available, I rented a Dott e-bike for what should have been a 15-minute ride home. When I unlocked the bike, it displayed a green light indicating sufficient battery. Within just one minute of riding, still very close to my starting point, the battery completely died. This is physically impossible if the bike actually had power, as a charged e-bike battery cannot drain in less than 5 minutes. The green light was clearly misleading and inaccurate. With no parking stations along my route, I tried to end the ride and leave the bike. However, the app wouldn't allow me to leave it anywhere outside their designated zones, even though the bike had no power and was completely unusable. This policy makes no sense when the equipment failure is on their end, not mine. I was forced to manually pedal this heavy e-bike for 40 minutes to reach a designated parking spot near my home. This should have been a 15-minute powered ride, but instead became exhausting physical labor due to their faulty equipment. When I finally reached their designated parking spot shown in the app, the dead battery prevented the bike from properly locking or releasing. I tried multiple times to end the ride through the app, but nothing worked. The system was malfunctioning due to their equipment failure, yet I was being penalized for it. I had to freeze my credit card to prevent being charged for this terrible experience. The next morning, I discovered they charged me for an additional 10 minutes because the bike was "left unattended." This charge is completely unjustified because I parked the bike exactly where their app indicated and attempted multiple times to properly end the ride. The failure was entirely on their malfunctioning equipment, not my actions.I immediately contacted their support to resolve this issue. Dott and TIER Mobility Denmark ApS provides no email address and no phone number for customer service, only an AI chatbot. This appears to violate Danish consumer protection laws, which require businesses to provide accessible customer support channels. I submitted a detailed complaint through their chatbot and waited over a month with zero response. I followed up multiple times, but the only thing their system offered was a discount code. A discount code is insulting when the real issue is being wrongly charged for their equipment failure and having no way to speak to an actual person.I ultimately paid for the ride under protest, but I'm sharing this review so others know what to expect from TIER Mobility and Dott. Avoid using their service, especially late at night when you risk getting stranded with broken equipment and absolutely no human support available.

The worst E scooter ever made.

The worst E scooter ever made.Absolutely baffling how the government allowed this crap. I was going to a train station today my train leaves at 8:35 got on scooter at 8:11Am got to the station at 8:22 but guess what can’t end the ride got in contact with the live chat and waited 10 min for them to reply but when he replied he just said can’t end it there if we force end you’ll have to pay a fine. Disgusting and when he end the ride my train already left. Never use this service again crap top to bottom!

Sitting here leaving for work in 15 minutes, just downloaded the app and it just says ”we are having a problem, try again a bit later”.

Fraudulent activity

Fraudulent activity - DO NOT USEFraudulent activity. DO NOT USE.In breach of several statutory laws and will be reporting to the relevant authorities.DO NOT RECOMMEND AT ALL.The company and staff seem to be totally unaware of the law and even their own policies. No end of hassle. Spent WEEKS dealing with them and still no full refund.Would give zero stars if I could.Review from 2023 but they deleted it to silence me

Tiered billing

While the scooters worked well. the invoicing is a nightmare. I ve received more invoices than my ride history. We stopped & took a few minutes to look around only to reimbark on same scooter with a parking violation. They need a daily rate not km or minutes- as a purchase option. Practical yes but expect ctra charges

Absolutely horrible experience

Absolutely horrible experience, spent 15 minutes looking for parking after. 5 minute ride. “ Parking is full, look for another one” is all I got, with no help on the map mind you. Meanwhile they charge by the minute. After 6 stops and 10 euros later I found parking. Where’s the convenience in that? Now I still have to walk to where I wanted to go in the first place….Never again

I want voi back

I want voi back. Every ride with tier something seems to go wrong. The power cuts out in dangerous places. The battery dies. The stand is rattling around. They are also way too expensive.

Decent scooters but customer service is appalling.

Tier have stopped responding to emails regarding a promised refund after they withdrew their LTR scheme. They have actually charged me again in error. Decent scooters but customer service is appalling.

Pathetic!

Pathetic!I activated a scooter in front of the train station in Saarbrücken (Germany). I was about to drive off when a employee of Tier came to me...He asked me to cancel the ride because the license number plate was scratched... I didnt see a reason for this because it can clearly be written... I also told him that the inicial payment is made and my clock is ticking... If there was a problem he schould have removed the Vehicle bevore i booked it...He kept asking me to switch the vehicle... I did it... Shame after i endet the trip of 0m traveled... The fee of around 0,25€ has been taken from me.Its not about the 0,25€. (I would give him 5€ if he never speaks to me again :D) Its a principle thing. I asked the employee to give me the 0,25€.Pathetic: He told me to contact customer support :D I don't know what is worse: The fact that he doesn't take responsibility for his actions causing "financial damage" to the customer...Or the fact that he doesn't have 0,25€ in his pockets... Or is unwilling to give them away...Either Tier isnt hiring Man... Or they pay extremely low :DA little fun Story showing the Pathetic truth behing Tier.

Ok. Worse Service and Quality ever.

Ok, i use lime all the time. It’s not perfect. But it’s great.Tier was my back up. They are HORRIBLE. The quality of the bikes and scooters is only made worse by the customer service. They charged me a fee. NO explanation. When i asked for an explanation they said it violated the T` and C. But i had no explanation how. Honestly, please avoid Tier at all costs..

The bike was broken and was the most…

The bike was broken and was the most unsafe thing I’ve ever ridden. Once realising I could t even cancel the ride without being fined due to a lack of parking spots. I’ll stick to lime bikes in London never using this service again.

The company charge you 25€ extra everytime...

The company charge you 25€ extra everytime you use the scooters claiming you left the scooter outside business area wich isn't true and they refuse to pay you back. And they don't want to fix the problem with the app to let you know before use that the scooter started outside the business area. They won't fix this as its free money for them and they claim they dont have to pay back as they have warned you but can't warn you about the scooter being outside the business area before journey starts on the app only after they have took your cash. This company is a scam and I would recommend you stay away from using this company

Don't Bother

So so bad. They recently replaced Voi with Tier in my home city and it's been such a cheap downgrade. The app and GPS is really buggy and often freeze. I spent 3 minutes yesterday just trying to press the 'end ride' button. Most annoyingly, unlike Voi, Tier doesn't feature on the app map that parking is full or not. I've spent 20+ mins before trying to find new parking spot and wasting money. Deleted now and will never use again.

DANGEROUS

These things just don't get any better. If 62% of people give you 1 star you know you've got a problem. I had an 11 minute journey this morning and had to stop completely 5 times to restart the scooter when the power died. Once was on a roundabout and once when turning right in front of oncoming traffic. This has been a problem on multiple rides.I don't know if they've caused any fatalities yet - if they haven't its a miracle. They need to manage and maintain their scooters - they have a responsibility to provide a safe ride so that is there is an accident its human error not machine. Posting here (again) because getting through the them is almost impossible - presumably deliberately.Such a shame as the electric mobility concept is fantastic.

Vile company

Vile company. I've had scooters die in the middle of intersections, a battery fall out and the accelerator just stop working. When to their customer service they act empathetic but do absolutely nothing to support you or come to a suitable resolution. I have sunk hours into dealing with their customer service. Unsafe and definitely not up to par

Use Bolt or any other alternative than Tier

I had used Bolt before and would have carried on using it but it looks to me that Tier has a lot more scooters. Firstly even without scanning the QR code it charged me 1.80 euros for not going anywhere. Then on arriving at the Allianz today it didn’t allow me to park mine but allowed everyone else’s too. So I had to find a non-grey zone to not be charged the 25 euro relocation fee. As the non grey zone was so far away I ended up having to pay it. As I was returning to get closer to the Allianz, the application shut down and I couldn’t carry on. What I don’t understand is why we cannot park scooters right by the Allianz when bikes are able to park there. And why those with me were able to park in a red zone without a problem 😳 very frustrating. As Tier doesnt give the option to program your journey and charges you per minute, you don’t know how much they will charge you. So we were charged 30 euros plus the relocation fee - 55 euros in total 😳. Highway robbery.
