Wolfe Microwave- poor design and quality
I purchased a Wolfe in cabinet microwave in 2021. After 2 years it stopped working because the door hinges were bent. The appliance tech said Wolfe now has a heavy duty replacement hinge due to complaints. It was still under warranty too. Now 3 years later, stopped working for same reason and costing me $700 because out of warranty. I would not recommend a Wolfe microwave as poor quality!

Wolf Double Oven - not worth the money
We have a wolf double oven. It was a $30k oven and after 6 years it has stopped working. To have it serviced it is a minimum $1k + parts, not to mention the damage caused by them removing the oven. This is disgraceful and a sub par product. Do not buy Wolf. They are made poorly and will cost you a fortune in servicing costs.

Will never buy Wolf again
We bought a Wolf double oven 4 years ago. One of the fans stalled 2 years ago and we had it fixed. Quite an expensive repair. Two weeks ago I used the Self Clean function. The self cleaning overheated the fans and two of them stalled. Both ovens not working. The repair for one fan was almost $1,000. The technician had thought that only one fan needed to be replaced, but then discovered that there was a second one that stopped working. Now we need to replace this one as well! I googled this and realized that this happens a lot. The self cleaning causes the problem. The technician also said that you should only use the self cleaning function as long as the oven is under warranty. That is ridiculous! This should not happen with an expensive product! I am very disappointed! The ovens were only 4 years old.

Do not buy Sub-Zero - suggest Monogram alternative
New, expensive 48" Subzero fridge/ freezer combo from dealer showroom was purchased from Howard Payne Co. with new warranty based on features and detailed information shown on manufacturer's website at that time. Upon professional installation by dealer, appliance yielded annoying rattle inside, diminished but not eliminated by 3rd party repairman installing manufacturer's "fix-it kit" (told kit is generally unknown to public).Shortly after installation, I repeatedly notified manufacturer in timely fashion by phone and online regarding separate issue that unit fails to meet website specifications, namely that WiFi is shown as a standard feature of our specific Refrig/Freezer models but told date of manufacture is too old for published specs to apply. IMO any reputable manufacturer should satisfy customer by furnishing their proprietary WiFi modules, but SubZero refused to honor published specs. Isn't honesty the only policy? Shame on SubZero! Asked dealer to take up WiFi issue with manufacturer but this request went nowhere also. Now wish we had purchased competitive Monogram/ GE products instead, based on our 50 years of wonderful experience and perfect reliability with GE large appliances (now owned by Haier but still great). In contrast, our Monogram induction cooktop from Payne Co. is perfect!

BUY SOMETHING ELSE
Having had only good experiences with Subzero/Wolf, we went full-in with Subzero/Wolf appliances a year-and-a-half ago after a reno and move: 48" French Door Fridge/freezer, steam oven, Masterchef wall oven, cooktop, Cove dishwasher. Except for the dishwasher, every other one of these appliances has been causing us grief since the minute they were installed. Cooktop: most minor issues of the lot: one of the knobs sticks since installation; tech told us it would 'go away' with time & use. Lies. In terms of performance, it's a little uneven, some of the elements burn food at slightly above the low setting and then almost turn off at low. Steam Oven: Replaced the master control, water intake piece and temperature probe receptacle after exhausting all other options, within 1 year after installation. Despite all the issues, this is the oven I use the most and would recommend - from another manufacturer!Masterchef Oven: replaced internal master control/motherboard within 6 months, was taking forever and a day to heat up and would never stay at temp. Waste of money for this unit, go with regular convection oven, I don't find any benefit. My previous experience with a 20+ year old Wolf wall oven was so much better. French Door Fridge/Freezer: the gasket for the freezer drawer came ripped upon installation, so at one of the many tech visits, the technician noticed and ordered a replacement. This second gasket came rippled and bent, and did not lay flat against the door so it caused frost build-up, condensation which fell on the floor and worst of all, the vacuum seal no longer functions. The gasket looks flat now but still no vacuum seal, still getting frost. Another tech visit scheduled...who knows when/if this will be fixed. It's so frustrating because the fridge above works great at keeping food fresh for the longest time, but if I could go back in time, I would go with Miele. I am unbelievably disappointed with SubZero/Wolf quality and consistency. We spent a truckload of money and feel betrayed. NEVER AGAIN.

Please do something about your air purification cartridges
Please do something about your refrigerator air purification cartridges. It really is unacceptable to ship a $65 product to someone's home and each box is covered with glass shards. Three straight cartridges were sent to my home, and all had gas shards. I called Sub-Zero and this is perfectly "normal" in their eyes. Please. Make a better product.

Don't believe the Wolf/Subzero hype
Spent a FORTUNE on a full Wolf/Subzero kitchen. We were also considering Bosch. We were sold on Wolf/Subzero because they supposedly have better support, and years down the road you can always get your appliance fixed.Well, 1.5 DAYS after the microwave was installed, it broke. 2.5 MONTHS later, we are still waiting on the "High-end Service" (yeah, right) people to fix the microwave. It takes months for them to get parts in, and another MONTH to schedule an appointment once the part does arrive. We also have a problem with the Subzero freezer door mechanism that needs to be repaired. The freezer is at least functional, but it's been a couple months waiting for that repair as well.Support for Wolf/Subzero SUCKS horribly. If we knew then, what we know now, we would have gone Bosch (and saved several thousands of $).

SUB-ZERO FREEZER SOUNDS LIKE AN AIRPLANE PROPELLER INFLIGHT
PURCHASED NEW ZUB-ZERO 24" FREEZER AND INSTALLED IT DEC 2022. THE DEVICE WOULD OCCASIONALLY SOUND LIKE AN AIRPLANE IN FLIGHT. VERY ANNOYING. THE BOX APPLIANCE COMPANY REPAIR MAN WAS DISPATCHED TO SOLVE THE NOISE ISSUE. OVER THE NEXT 2 YEARS THEY REPLACED A FAN, TIGHTENED PANELS AND WERE PLANNING ON REPLACING AN ADDITIONAL FAN THAT THE REPAIRMAN FELT MIGHT BE THE CAUSE OF THE NOISE. UNFORTUNATELY AT THIS POINT SUB-ZERO WASN'T INTERESTED IN FIXING THE PROBLEM AND CALLED THE REPAIRMAN OFF SAYING THIS IS A NORMAL SOUND. SO IF YOU DON'T MIND YOUR FREEZER SOUNDING LIKE AN AIRPLANE PROPELLER FROM TIME TO TIME IT'S A PRETTY NICE FREEZER.

BIG disappointment…
I have used wolf appliances before but never had a free standing stove. Recently completed a kitchen renovation and purchased a wolf 30” gas stove. The main issue is that the venting in the back of the oven vents up not forward which has stained my white quartz back splash. No help whatsoever from the dealership I purchased it from and the ‘recommended’ extension still blows straight up. It’s a definite design flaw as no other ovens ( high end and not) have this. Definitely disappointed and would NOT recommend this stove.

2024 Wolf M Series wall oven and 48" Range
2024 Wolf 48" Range : large oven door glass shattered rendering oven unusable till door is replaced. How does this even happen??? 2024 Wolf M series wall oven: Self cleaning function is near useless, running now for second time in two days. Wolf customer service recommends hand scrubbing with an oven cleaner... REALLY???

This is an absolutely awful dishwasher
This is an absolutely awful dishwasher. Pieces within the dishwasher keep snapping off, there is awkward spacing between the drawers so loading larger items is impossible, and my dishes come out dirty 30% of the time. Steer clear of this dishwasher!

I called subzero Toronto office to send…
I called subzero Toronto office to send a technician and find out why the ice maker is not producing ice. The technician said the water and air filter needs to be replaced same with the ice maker. I told him, please give quote and we will call them again if we decided to replace the ice maker. Over the weekend, my husband tried to check the ice maker, it is now missing the gear. That gear should be there since before the call, the ice maker is still working. He took it a part so we have no choice but to call them and replace it for $1,279, plus filters and labour $1790.00. This is the cost of a brand new refrigerator already. We called them back to explain why the gear is missing and he's denying it and just ignore our call. BEWARE! THESE REPAIR SERVICE ARE SCAMMING PEOPLE!!!

Sub Zero for 1.5 years
I have had my sub Zero for 1.5 years. I have the one with a single door and the freezer below (BI-36U/S/TH-RH).Its a great refrigerator but it has a design flaw. When you shut the door it knocks the freezer door ajar. You will not realize it until you sit down on the sofa with a beer and hear it start dinging at you.In addition, we just realized we now have a freon leak. The inside of the unit has a chemical smell and we have eliminated every other issue we can think of.I have had the warranty repair guys out to address the first issue... which is still an issue. I will be calling them out again for the latter issue tomorrow. I do have one recommendation, if you decide to purchase this product make sure you pay the extra for the professional installation... If you don't it will impact your warranty. With that said, I think my next purchase will be another Thermador.

The controls on the microwave drawers…
The controls on the microwave drawers do not light up. Hence, at night we have to turn on the kitchen ceiling lights and then bend down to the drawer front to see the controls. Very poor design, especially given the price.

Recently completed kitchen Reno with…
Recently completed kitchen Reno with all Wolf appliances.1) several product delivery delays.2) was charged an extra delivery fee to have gas range measured by the counter manufacturer3) would not recommend gas range top for family use. It scratches very easily and will end not looking anything like the one you saw in the showroom.4) Wolf online customer service is very poor. When I wrote them to find out what my options were to remedy the range scratches I had to follow up with them 3 times and I still don’t have a proper response.

Complete Failure of 5 Year Old Sub-Zero side by side fridge freezer
Our 5 Year Old Sub-Zero side by side Fridge Freezer Compressor has Blown up! This is a very expensive, only 5 year old fridge and the compressor has apparently blown up! No rhyme or reason best explanation is, "luck of the draw"! I do not recommend this brand. I cannot tell you how utterly disappointed we are 7 days before Christmas to be told parts have to be ordered and there is no time line for repair dates. Absolutely left feeling disgusted with this extraordinary fridge failing after such a short time.
