Not a real professional translation company
I am writing this report to warn all potential customers of Straker to be aware that this company mainly only sells machine translations (often of very poor quality, barely superior to Google tools). I was a translator for this company for many years, and I had to correct many times numerous approximations and misinterpretations made by the AI used by Straker. In addition, Straker offers prices that are sometimes higher than what a human translator can offer you. A word of advice: avoid Straker. I had to give 1 star because there was no possibility to give zero.

BEWARE!!
BEWARE!!! This company will change their fees after you have already paid for the project. We paid for a translation and, a few days later, they sent us a request for more money. They offered us two options: 1. Cancel the project and lose part of the money we already paid, or 2. Pay double the amount we originally agreed to. The explanation they gave was that their automatic quotation system failed to analyze our document correctly. This is bad business. The fact that their system didn't work properly is not our fault and they should honor the original agreement.

I have ordered fir translation of my degree, the estimated days given were 2 days and its 4th days with no update yet. There is no way i can contact them and sort it out.

One of the worst translation companies
One of the worst companies I have ever worked with. They work with a system similar to that of tenders that grant projects to those who budget the least. In addition, they apply reduced rates for the use of CAT tools (repetitions, fuzzies, etc.), when they charge the client per full word. They have fed me with their automated emails and their requests that never go ahead since they always look for the translator who charges less!

DO NOT USE FOR EMERGENCY
I ordered the translation of my document on November 11, hoping to receive it within the 2 days the webpage indicates. I didn’t hear anything back for 4 days, so I wrote them an email and apparently I hadn’t uploaded the document nor made the payment, which was not true. I had to provide evidence of the payment and send them the document again, after which I was told they were sorry for the mistake and that I would receive the translation the next day. This was not true. It’s November 21st, I paid €117.58 for the job and I still don’t have it. I could have gotten it cheaper and in less time anywhere else. I’mnot using straker translations ever again.

Not cheap, but worth it
We've used Straker for many translations of training materials and technical documents over the last 3 years and have been very happy with the service provided.They've worked hand-in-hand with our graphic artist to ensure accuracy and work is done to our standard.Where issues have been identified, we've never had any pushback- they've rectified as required.I would definitely recommend them.
