Good for banking only, Charles Schwab is a terrible choice for long term investment . The returns on my $40k investment has been really frustrating . I paid the same amount to PAY MINE , i got more than $60k after a month . The right information is really vital in decision making to make you progress .
If I could rate this a negative i would i was gave a choice when they acquired TD ameritrade which was the greatest platform ever i stopped trading for a while then I opted to give schawb a shot i was told the investor checking came with a brokerage account which was a boldface lie they require a Chexx system to open the account that is allegedly included with a brokerage account i called in bc i was wondering why my investment checking was not open as that is the only way I could fund my account they led me astray
I am contined to wait for a check from Shwab that was supposed have been overnighter through UPS on Wednesday weeks ago with an arrival date the Friday afterwards. When I read the other reviews it appears that this is a pattern with Schwab. I have called Shwab and discussed with them that the bank it does business with has the ability to digitally email me an encrypted password that contains only info I will know and the check. I have discussed with Schwab that since investments are time sensitive and because of this debacle I will be pulling every dime out of my account and closing it permanently.
This used to be a bank. Now they are incapable of very basic bank functions and full of condescending useless customer service. Been here 20+ years but time for me to go elsewhere

Charles Schwab sucks. Bought a gold chain with my debit card and the retailer tried to cheat me by telling me the chain weighed more than it did. I found out when I got home and weighed it. Charles Schwab was no help with the charge back. They were on the side of the fraudulent retailer.
If I could rate it as (-10)/5 I would. An absolute disgrace of service. Incompetent, irrelevant and the worst possible service. Iam sorry I opened an account with them.
Very terrible platform. They have nothing good to offer their users. They hold users money and you will never get paid. I'm a victim, and I will never advise anyone to put money here. #Cropmines..# has been exceptional so far, they pay timely and steadily.
Took too long to move money from Schwab to Fidelity. They sit on your cash and pay you nothing in return. Their advice is subpar. They treat their employees very poorly and the pay is below average for a major financial firm.
I was the beneficiary Jay Roy he left me a 401k an IRA stock bonds and CDs, I had a multi-million dollar lawsuit and other things that was left to me on my side of the family land property and IRA retirement funds and when I got my account I did not like the way they treated me when I talked to tye advisor the broker they did not explain anything to me and nothing they even asked me how I found out about it because they didn't even try to find me for 5 years they ran on this money and invested and did what they wanted with my money without my permission, please people whatever you do not trust them do not leave anything for your family with them if you're going to do anything invest and go silver medals but don't trust them that's why they only got one and two stars because they're sorry excuse for a business that I've never seen in my life go Frontier Invest Corp. I don't believe there is bad as stability and things like that matter even they have their own policies but please if you want to leave your family anything or legacy don't leave them to do it in Charles Schwab because they will never get any money you intended for your family or friends rather do it with Frontier Invest Corp. Don't put money in their Banks or investments with your family will never get it they'll never look for them that's how they make you live frugal as they live in million dollars homes and drive nice cars and stuff but they want you to live frugal without nothing even if you have multi, they are the worst regret I've ever had that's why they only have one two stars with your money that everyone else is trying to tell you don't because of them stealing from the dead which is the most disgraceful act you can do taking away someone's last wish.
My limited experience with Schwab representatives is that they are pompous, condescending & unhelpful. Do not recommend.
Charles Schwab has the best customer service, anywhere.I have been a Charles Schwab customer for over 30 years. I've found no company of any type that offers better customer service. When I call I can get promptly connected to a highly competent human who has the tools to do what I need. Their website and app are among the best--full featured, fast, reliable. I have had minimal problems with Schwab in my 30 year experience and everyone I know personally who uses Schwab has had a similar experience.
Empty promises regarding my withdrawals. Topciphertrails got involved and changed the situation. I got a refund swiftly.
I noticed money moved out of my Ira called Charles Schwab reported it. Someone wired $30000.00 to a bank in South Dakota that was not associated with my account. Been calling haven’t got any answers. They have not reached out to me once to explain what’s happening. Don’t even know what information to give to police cause they have it all. Terrible guardians of my money even worst customer service.
They do everything they can to hold on to what's yours. Dealing with support feels intentional, like it's designed to wear you down. Simple requests requests turn into obstacles, and nothing moves forward. It's exhausting trying to access what should have not been a struggle in the first place. My experience so far with #Stovëx #Global has been simple. When I requested a payout, it didn't take unusually long.
The negative reviews are absolutely true , Charles Schwab has a lot to fix, The returns on investments and customer support is poor . Please avoid if you can .
I have a significant account with them and I happened to run out of toner. To transfer funds into the account I need to sign a form and the signature cannot be electronic. They do not have means of taking care of this electronically because they only use DocuSign for companies. That is, if you are not a company you are not important enough for them to get the privilege to use this service. So I will need to take a trip to a public library to print the form. I bet any money that the cost of using Docusign is a lot less than the mailing of the form (which they offered to do) and which would take at least two weeks with the snow we have around here!
Schwab has too many corrected 1099 forms. Some come in so late that tax filing extensions are necessary. They just can’t get their act together on this point. Would recommend using another platform such as Vanguard, E*Trade, Fidelity, etc. Beyond that my experience with Schwab advisors is that their fees are not worth their insight. ETFs beat advisors consistently because fees wipe out so much of the gains. There’s plenty of information out there on it. “The Retirement Gamble” documentary and the book “The Simple Path To Wealth” by J L Collins are two great sources on smarter investing.
I have been waiting with no answers while they keep blaming technical issues. It has been dragging on far too long over something that should be simple. If this is how they act now, I can't even imagine what will happen when I try to access the rest. It feels like I have been robbed and lied to. I have been with #Stovëx #Global for some time now, and things have been consistent. Requests are addressed without unnecessary delays.
I deposited $10,000 in August of last year at the local office in Sioux Falls. I discussed current money market rates and decided that was a better option that a CD at that time. When I downloaded my 1099 this year, I noticed that the total interest was $3.36. I called then and asked why I had received no interest on my $10,000 for over a year. I was told that the local people said that I did not request a money market deposit and there was nothing they could do. That was an outright lie to cover their asses. I don’t know who ended up with my roughly $500 in interest, but I can tell you who didn't. DO NOT do business with these people. They are shady and not willing to admit an obvious mistake or even TRY to resolve the issue.
