Great location, close to many of the big attractions. The room was large with a nice view overlooking the water and the opera house. The staff were always friendly and helpful. The breakfast buffet was great with many options. The rooms are a little worn and could do with some new furniture, but overall a very nice hotel.

The worst experience ever.
We went in the Scandichotel Aulanko for the father's day. It was the worst experience ever.I don’t recommend it to anyone. The service at the reception was extremely poor and unprofessional. The people at the desk don’t care about the clients — they only care about getting the money, as they told me themselves when I went to explain my situation.

Scandic Neptune Bergen - Scandic Hafjell Oyer
Scandic Neptune Bergen, Monastic double room, luckily there was a bed. Scandic Hafjell Oyer (Norway) terrible breakfast service and poor quality. I asked the kitchen manager why there were no croissants and she told me that croissants are available after 9:00 AM. Crazy!! The tour groups all leave at 8:00 AM - 8:30 AM. Unprofessional.

Scandic Laajavuori Jyväskylä, stay for 5 days in a room without air conditioner, no windows to get fresh air and a temperature of 30° outside. Went to restaurant and had to wait more than an hour for an Hamburger. Moreover, on Saturday August 2nd, none came to clean my room. Disgusting service and a very bad experience that none should repeat again…👎👎👎

Scandic Elmia Jönkobing is the worst hotel ever. Stay away. The hotel is one big Construction site , dirty All over. Noisy. And NO elevator to 3 floor. So disable people and luggage had to be carry by hand.Also they charge parking for cars.Never ever gonna use it again.

We were originally booked in for the Scandic Grand Marina in Helsinki. We were very delayed and our room was no longer available but the hotel paid for a taxi to their sister hotel who honoured the booking. We ended up in a nicer room too! The staff couldn’t apologise more despite having a quick and efficient resolution. We were offered to move back to the original room after 24 hours but chose to stay in the Helsinki Hub location as it was so nice. I’d also like to say that the breakfast is amazing and the rooms clean and modern in the Hub location. I would 1000% return to either hotel just based on the excellent customer service.

Poorly maintained
Had the displeasure of staying at Scandic Falkoner. No AC, sink and shower clogged up and toilet paper sitting on the floor as the holder was broken. Rather dirty floors in room and hallways.Worst of all nobody cared. Brought it up with staff and management and they just said "noted" !There are far better (and cheaper) hotels in the area.

Error in checkout payment and no receipt provided
I was on a business trip with colleagues, the hotel itself was fine, but they messed up the credit cards for the payment and didn't even give me a receipt for what they charged me. After sending an email I got a receipt covering half my stay, I still hope to get the receipt for the other half, so that I can get reimbursed by my company, but it is a lot of discussions just to get a receipt! And of course it causes me trouble as I didn't plan to advance the money and it will require significant time and paperwork to sort it all out.I still have no idea why they didn't charge on the company credit card we gave them at the check-out, it worked fine for some colleagues who did the checkout at the same time... very weird! But not acceptable in any way to charge a customer without telling him and not even provide a receipt!

Booked standard room for one nightVery clean room.We did not try the breakfast as we had a meeting elsewhere. Staff accommodating - I asked for some fresh Milk to make a cup of tea in the room and they immediately supplied with a small jug of milk.Parking was free on the road outside the hotel.

We stayed at hte Byparken hotel in Bergen Norway.Greeted by the lovely staff. Check in was easy, they answered all our questions about transport and directions. Always happy to help.The breakfast was just astonishing!! world class breakfast buffet every morning.For the price and location, we coudnt complain.If their was a gripe, it was personal preferrence in that the bed was too soft for me.But all towels and bedding were clean, and the ammenities were great.The complimentary wifi was superfast which is a nice touch, usually wifi is very hit and miss when staying abroad.Lovely people, lovely place.

Food poisoning on the last day from…
Food poisoning on the last day from breakfast. This was the last meal I had till 2:40 am the next morning threw my guts up. The place was noisy next to a nightclub it was £600 for or 4 days and they overcharged me as I paid 800noks off the bill but they charged me this on my bill instead

I'm awaiting your decision on the refund of 4 nights from April 30th to May 4th.I paid for my total trip to Last minute.com on April 4th, then to a mistake I also booked the hotel with Booking.com.I phoned on April 6 and wrote an email to warm of the error.Booking told me that they could cancel the booking but the payment was at the discretion of the hotel.On April 3rd and 5th Ipaid the total bill at LastMinute.com.On April 5th Scandic withdrew from my credit card 516,27 euros for the stay on dates identical to my booking.I am waiting for the 516,27 euros unduly charged to be credited back to me.Donatella Salvi
