Terrible. Retailmenot has coupons posted as active but each one I’ve tried says it’s expired on their website I’m trying to purchase from. I tried at least 4 different ones. Do not trust them.

Ripoff site
I have $.45 left from a nice little pot of money. Most of it RetailMeNot gave to themselves. I guess I didn't use the site enough. They took about $5 out as a "maintenance fee." This is what they say it is: "Your account has been assessed a monthly maintenance fee due to inactivity of more than one year. Redeem your remaining balance now or make a new qualifying cash back purchase in order to reactivate your account's status. For more information, please see our Terms of Use." I'll call them a ripoff.

I always Get Sent to Malware Infected Webpages
I never get cash back because unlike other apps it takes me to a website that my malware protection warns me not to go to and the one time I went anyway it was infected with malware. This has been a useless app and I wish I had used Rakuten which works well

Cashback Offer not working
The 1% cashback for Home Depot just keeps spinning without ever finishing. The only Retailmenot website support is a Chat that only allows a few preset topics and will not let you ask a question or get to chat with a person. Google lists a phone number which only directs you back to this unhelpful Chat! You still can't talk to anyone to resolve a tech support issue.

Never paid out cash back for 4…
Never paid out cash back for 4 orders.Retailmenot claims the cash back was activated but they did not get confirmation back from the Merchant(EBay). I received an email that the purchases were activated. The activations are in my Retailmenot account.Ebay alleges that what Retailmenot claims is inaccurate and simply not true. Ebay researched my concern and have had many customers with the same issue. Ebay verified that “Retailmenot is a third party application and they have independent means to confirm an order and Retailmenot is solely responsible for obtaining that data for payment. The issue as EBay states is “on Retailmenot’s end, not EBay.” 1 star is being generous!Retailmenot just plain and simple does not pay the cash back they collect. It is a scam. Use TopCashback. Made 2 purchases and within an hour the cashback was tracking to my account.

They steel your cash back. Coupons rarely work unless they are for cashback.
Coupons rarely work and if they do its for cash back. When you get your cash back they close your account claiming you violated terms of service and your money disappears. The way they are responding on her to all of us that they have knowingly robbed is disgusting. The more of us that contact the better business bureau the quicker RMN will be shut down.

Customer Service has gone so south!
I have multiple cash back offers that are past the 45 days , I have sent proof of orders, screenshots, delivery notifications... as requested by RMN twice, yet issues still not resolved.My offers continue to show "INELIGIBLE"Having a live person to chat with or talk to on the phone would be so helpful. They did use to have a live chat person available during business hours.My "date of experience" is random, as there are multiple.

Account Closed for Alleged "Violation of Terms" With no Explanation
They suddenly closed my account saying there was a violation of terms of service, but they never said what the violation actually was. I attempted to appeal but was just given another form letter saying that they wouldn't reconsider the decision. Luckily I didn't lose too much value, but it feels very much like a scam that they close accounts for no reason and keep the earned cash back. The CS agents I dealt with were "Johnathan" and "Leah".

Pending 4ever and poor customer experience
I've used Retailmenot for a while and it's very hit and miss, I've had cashback pending for 7 months after they date it should have been paid and there isn't any way to inquire about what the status is. I have received cashback from them before so I'm giving them 2 stars.It appears they have an automated customer service agent and you can only inquire about missing cashback not cashback that has been pending for months after the expected payout date. I have two transactions which should for which I should have received cashback on 4/23/2025 and 07/11/2025 respectively. I would recommend that people avoid this cashback site as it is far less reliable than others especially the industry leaders Rakuten and TopCashBack. Below is the message on my account regarding a purchase I made on 3/9/2025.Hilton let us know you made a purchase. Your cash back reward of $18.62 will be available for withdrawal on 04/23/2025.Update, after posting this review and sending copies of receipts the Cashback was added my account. I'm not sure why they needed receipts as Hilton let them know about the purchase half a year ago. Retailmenot could review their data to identity Cashback that should be paid out. I added a star to the review because after jumping through some hoops I did get the money added to my account. However I won't be using their service in the future and wouldn't recommend it to anyone.
