Terrible service, no follow ups
I recently had a trip to Cancun booked. I called in to try and adjust that reservation. I got nowhere after a 20 minute hold to speak to someone and then an additional 40 minutes on and off hold. They ended up saying they couldn't reach the hotel and would call me back tomorrow. Of course I triple confirmed what time the would call back tomorrow ... no call tomorrow. I called back in the next day, went through the exact same process (hold time, getting nowhere once someone answered, no acknowledgment that I wasn't called back etc.). On this second day, they also said they couldn't get ahold of the hotel and promised to call me back tomorrow. I confirmed 5x that this call back would occur... no call again. So I called back in on the third day, an hour+ call spoke to management, they couldn't give me any answers to any questions. I ended up saying I just want to cancel the whole trip and not deal with this. They told me they could not do that because they couldn't get the hotel to respond now for 3 days in a row. I ended up calling the hotel directly and got through to someone in 20 minutes. They told me priceline never called. I ended up wasting so much time, got nowhere, and now am outside of my cancellation period becuase of priceline. Terrible, don't use them.

Do not use priceline
Do not use priceline. They do not help customers at all to resolve problems. They will tell you that they will resolve the problem and call you back but they never do. I needed to cancel a hotel room due to reviews saying there was bed bugs. I called priceline and they say they would take care if it. I trusted they would and stupid me booked another room from them. I had to call them over 4 times because no one was calling me back. Well end result Im out $150. Go to HOTELS COM, a friend of mine who we were on the trip with got her refund within 20 minutes no hassle, the 3 of us who went with priceline all lost our money. DO NOT USE THEM.....

I rented a car through Priceline and…
I rented a car through Priceline and within the contract it didn't state anywhere in the contract that the rental car companies they partnee with wont allow you to use your car insurance for coverage while renting a rental. I arrive at the Atlanta airport for my car rental at Fox Rent A Car and was literally forced to use their car insurance, which cost me an additional 150.00 to retain the rental car. They took no accountability or appeared to empathize but stated that the companies implemented their own policies. I will never use them again and if I could I would give them a zero for this review.

If I could leave zero stars!
If I could leave zero stars, I would. Priceline is the least transparent booking site I’ve ever used. While the upfront price may appear cheaper than other booking platforms, be aware that you may still have to pay resort fees and additional taxes directly at the hotel. When you’re comparing prices and trying to get the best deal, you would expect all of those costs to be included in what you’re shown—but unfortunately, that’s not the case here. There’s a serious lack of transparency, and telling customers to read the fine print isn’t a real solution. For a simple booking, you shouldn’t have to worry about being misled. I contacted Priceline customer support, and they were unhelpful, simply pointing out that the fine print says a resort may charge additional fees at check-in. That essentially makes it a guessing game—you won’t know if you’ll be charged more until you arrive, depending on whether the resort decides to add those extra costs.

Don't give this company your time or money!
My wife and I were invited to join two other couples for a week in Cancun at the Margaritaville all inclusive. Booked in November, the plane landed in Cancun on January 14th and the actual resort we were supposed to be at was the 18+ 20 miles down the road. Cancelled the incorrect booking, shelled out another $2,800 that day to get our room at the correct resort where our friends were booked. Priceline was to file our cancellation request and exception for refund with the resort and get it sorted out in "one hour" their words. They couldn't have done any of the necessary steps because a "no show" was filed by the resort, Priceline didn't respond so the resort denied our $2.430 refund. Going around in circles, BBB complaint and baseless jabber from Priceline. Terrible customer service and obvious lack of concern for anything but the $. After the sale we are useless until we spend again. 0 stars, two thumbs down, DO NOT RECOMMEND

Terrible service
Terrible service. Avoid them at all costs. Refused to change/refund a flight, which was needed due to a medical emergency. Purchased trip protection when booking which does nothing but add an extra fee apparently.

I recently booked a trip through…
I recently booked a trip through Priceline for flights and a rental car. The flights were fine but had an issue with the car rental company not telling me everything that I needed to know when I booked the information. Got to the airport and the car rental company was not even in the airport had to find a shuttle. Offsite waited over an hour to get the shuttle then waited an hour to actually get to talk to somebody about renting the car. Then they forced me to pay for extra insurance even though I had Above & Beyond the car insurance needed through my own personal insurance and had to pay extra for that just to get the car. After calling Priceline to discuss this with them, nothing has been done and they don’t care because they tell you to call the car rental company. When you call the car rental company there is no one there to talk to and you talk to a virtual assistant and then when they want to communicate, it’s through WhatsApp or text messages. The car rental company is called routes do not use them whatsoever. They are absolutely horrible and do not use Priceline because they do not care about their customers because they don’t care about helping them to alleviate any issues or problems.

I have been trying to add insurance for…
I have been trying to add insurance for my trip for my hotel stay. The website shows i can add insurance. But i was receiving an error message called customer service. The are telling me i cannot add but it shows i can add insurance until 2/27. so i reached out to priceline by chat..After you have booked your hotel room on Priceline.com, you can add Trip Protection insurance by closing this chat and then looking for the "Add Protection" option on your booking confirmation page, also known as the Priceline travel itinerary page. You also have the option to add insurance during the checkout process before you finalize your booking. The Trip Protection is offered through Priceline’s partners XCover and RentalCover. So, why cannot i someone help me add the insurance???

No longer has really good deals
Priceline, years ago, was an amazing service. I used it for both car rentals and for hotels, and the company offered excellent discounts for quality vendors if you were willing to pay up front and not know who the vendors were. However, these days, the vendors are not quality (e.g., a hotel that they describe as 4-star, but is so old it's a 2.5-star product -- I've stayed at this property before) and not a discount (e.g., I saved about $10). That's pretty bad for not knowing the property in advance and getting no refund. I won't use Priceline again. I suspect a lot of other consumers would say the same thing today.

Priceline is what I have used in the…
Priceline is what I have used in the past to ensure I was using reputable companies when traveling—but on my last trip I used a rental car company through priceline that attempted to scam me out of literally thousands of dollars to insure a rental car (though I already have full coverage). When I went to the website to ask for help, they said contact the company, it was very disappointing.

Priceline is a scam!
Priceline is a scam!! I purchased and paid for 5 tickets and 2 days before we were set to fly out they stated that the airline (American) cancelled one of the flights and the only reason given was that they could not accommodate 5 flights, even though they were paid for a month before. They refused to refund me for the cancelled flight and even gave me a fake phone number to call for a credit/refund! This company is a joke! Will NEVER go through them again!

When making the reservation
When making the reservation, Priceline showed the room as cancellable. After I clicked purchase, the terms changed to non‑refundable. The hotel could see my exact reservation and confirmed it was cancellable, but Priceline refused to honor the correct terms and gave inconsistent explanations. They even approved a refund in writing and later reversed it. Very poor transparency and follow‑through.I also tried multiple times to speak with a supervisor and never received the promised call back. The lack of consistency and accountability made the situation extremely frustrating.

Orlando Priceless Car Rental Scam
Feb 7, 2026... I used Priceline to book my 9 day car rental at Orlando Airport. I went with Priceless Rental Car (Off Site) for $147.32 for a mid-size SUV. We used their express shuttle to get to the rental site with no problem. I gave my information to the car agent. He said we NEEDED their insurance and did not want to accept My insurance even though I had my insurance info. Then he said there was a charge of $19/Day because we were over 70 years old. He also said we needed to use their EZ pass for $17/Day, even though my EX Pass from PA was good in FL. By the time he was done adding all my charges my cost went from $147 to over $800!!!I was seeing red by then... We took the shuttle back to the airport. I went to Budget and got a rental of $350for a MidSize SUV and was on the road in 30 minutes. I got to use my PA EZ Pass and they took my insurance. The Budget Agent started laughing when I asked if I had to pay extra because we were over 70....What a ripoff PAYLESS CAR RENTAL... I emailed Priceline when I got back to see if I can get my money back and haven't heard from them. Last time I will ever use Priceline. While we were at Priceless there was another couple there from New York having the same problem.

Bad cancelation services
Was amazing price. I bought my ticket on February 6th for a flight leaving March 5th, I paid an extra $20 for cancelation protection as I was unsure if I would need to reschedule. I ended up needing to Cancel my Flight February 20th and was told my cancelation period ended February 9th. If I knew I was only gonna get 3 days to cancel I would not have paid for the protection as their already in place policy gave me 50 something hours. Now I am out $200 and stuck with a ticket I wont be using

Don't book with them
Don't book with them. Lots of fine print and unethical ways to hold onto your money without providing a service.
