Too many ads

Too many ads, too many glitches and no way to contact Pinterest.

Pinterest Is Not Pinterest Anymore

Pinterest has found its end. Links on profile pages are broken by default, user uploads are used to train AI, they have insecure SMS 2FA with no app 2FA option, ads are overbearing, people are leaving and the icing on the cake is Pinterest's decline in the stock market (NYSE:PINS).Recently, I discovered a repin was flaged as an Adult Content violation. It was a normal drawing tutorial. Pinterest flagged my email as unreachable saying I could not be contacted; my email is fine and I reconfirmed my address although it had already worked fine for a verification code. They never contacted me. I appealed within the 6 months and have no idea what happened because they did not respond. I learned by default Pinterest uses user content for GenAI training without paying users for content use; users can opt-out if they know about it. I was never informed (nothing in my spam folder either). Due to the lack of communication, I deleted all my repins and boards, both public and private. As a result, I will not purchase or use service with Pinterest in the future.Another once great website has fallen. I am letting it go.

Disgraceful and useless

Disgraceful and useless. Couldn't understand why my messages were being deleted, as I got the blame. But as I looked into it Pinterest deletes text if they go over a certain amount of character's. Waste of time so uninstalled App. Caused a lot of personal problems. Useless Site.

Pinterest doesn't monitor their…

Pinterest doesn't monitor their advertisers because they want the money. However, they don't mind having their consumers scammed. If Trump's new fraud guy needs a job, he needs to look into Pinterest. They are scamming millions and billions of dollars on false ads like Sundance, Chicos discount ads and many others. They make their living off of the backs of hard working people and Trump plays with new Ballrooms instead of getting rid of fraudulent companies like Pinterest.

I am really disappointed in Pinterest!

I am really disappointed in Pinterest!! They have more ads than content. It’s not fun anymore. I end up clicking off in a very short time. Too bad. It used to be a great source for all kinds of things. Each save requires cookie settings and then the site itself is overloaded with ads and I can hardly see what I’m looking for. 🤬🤬🤬

Chinese firms selling poor quality clothes

This website has to many Chinese firms selling poor and cheap made clothes. The clothing often say quality or luxury and often show expensive high streets shops and claimed they have these shops. But in reality the shop doesn't exist neither does the quality. Ainsley Blake a shop it says in Yorkshire dales and the clothes designed by Yorkshire women and made by Yorkshire women. But this is untrue they don't have a shop at all. The best way to find out is to look at the return address often Shanghai in China . Serina lane , London shows beautiful clothes but again a return address to China . Many of the shops don't even exist but they show in their websites their do . Pinterest needs too clean up and stop the scam and untruths . If something comes from Yorkshire dales it should be the case. If London is shown as the quality shop then the item should come from this shop .

Elena Rocca doesn’t exist don’t buy…

I reported a spam advertising knitted jumpers claiming to be from a store in Italy, they’re not! It’s Asian cheap stuff, it’s fraud, what you receive is not what you get. Yet I had a few conversations with Pinterest about it who claimed they would look into it & that they were serious blah blah, well Nothing was done, they’re still advertising. People are getting scammed by most of those ads claiming miracles too. Don’t buy, just look for ideas.

Absolutely trash algorithm recommended…

Absolutely trash algorithm recommended me nude images and completely irrelevant disgusting content. I would advise against using the application unless you want to waste hours of your precious life. Also your accounts gets permanently deactivated for the most stupid reasons which means you loose your messages, pins and profile. All your effort down the fkin drainShit developers at its finest 👌

The volume of ads that constantly pop up has ruined the experience. They also cover what your reading or looking at. When you delete another pops up, way to annoying!

Pinterest is no longer relaxing it’s a burden

As someone who loaded the app at its first availability and use(d) it consistently, every evening, “what’s for dinner” solved through this app, I am officially closing it to never reopen. So many boards, ideas, and “go to’s” are no longer to be used. I am so disappointed in the overload of “junk”. The pop up ads are overwhelming and the content of the page is covered by 70%. After a long day of work to open an app that takes so much time to read due to clicking tiny “x’s” and up and down tabs REPEATEDLY just to get to the page content is frustrating. No longer a relaxing sit for pinning favorite things, things to make, dinner party ideas etc. the app is more frustrating than relaxing.

Anacoli.com on Pinterest robbed me

Anacoli.com on Pinterest robbed me. I ordered a beautiful kimono and was stiffed. Don't buy anything from them even if they have a blue check mark.

AI slop made me leave

AI slop made me leave. I repeatedly told Pinterest (through settings, feedback tickets, and "algorithm training") that I have zero interest in AI slop on my feed. The continued prevalence of it, as well as the insistence of Pinterest leadership in doubling down on the slop, is causing me to delete my account. I first joined Pinterest in 2012, shortly after the birth of my child, as a way to still exercise my creative muscles even though I didn't have the energy to create at the time. I deleted that account when I rebranded, and have had this one for several years, if I remember correctly. I'm disappointed and let down, and that is an understatement, with Pinterest's recent layoffs of artists and other creatives due to the baffling decision of management to commit to shoehorning AI into the app. It is my opinion, having been a Pinterest user for over a decade, that the site is dying due to poor management decisions - every other pin is an ad, and half the rest are fake tutorials created by soulless computer programs - and that combination is going to drive real, human users away. That combination *is* driving real, human users away - all I see lately about Pinterest online in other spaces is how bad it is now, and how many people are quitting.

Far far too much gen ai

I have my setting set to show less gen-ai images but it is still nearly impossible to find any real art drawn by an actual person, absolutely absurd. They need to add a feature to just opt out of it entirely.

Removing pins without specifications.

Pinterest have been removing some of the pins I saved and their reasons were that those pins contained sensitive materials, and that it was violating their policies. They didn’t specify which pins they were, and not giving me an option to view the removed pin itself, all the while threatening to take action against my account for apparently saving some pins. And ironically, they didn’t seemed to be holding the uploader of those pins accountable. It’s a shame that such an app with great reference is being managed by unreasonable people, or with brainless bots that can’t distinguish between what’s appropriate and what not. In addition, their response is horrible when I submit an appeal, they basically still threatened to take actions against my account. I’m now thinking of deleting my account if it’s even possible, and just use and save anonymously.
