Avoid at all costs!!!
I have used PayPal for almost 20 years and always believed I was protected as a buyer. This experience has completely changed my view.A parcel linked to my transaction was left unattended outside my property without my permission and was missing when I returned home. I provided tracking screenshots, the delivery photo, proof that the seller only partially refunded the order, and evidence that I opened multiple disputes trying to resolve it.Despite this, PayPal closed the case purely because tracking showed “delivered” — ignoring the fact that there was no signature and no proof I personally received the goods.Buyer Protection appears to mean very little when a courier simply scans something as delivered. Long-term customers deserve better than automated decisions based only on tracking numbers. After two decades of using PayPal believing I was covered if something went wrong, this has been extremely disappointing. I will seriously reconsider using PayPal for future purchases.

Very disappointed with PayPal.
I have been with PayPal for going on 10 years now and in all the time I have been with them, most of the time the service has been excellent. However, of late this has changed and I am appalled with their service and claimed customer buyers protection. I recently got duped by a scam company posing to be a UK based company selling UK made products, when in fact it was a company selling products made in Guangdong, China which has made in the US printed on the package. When i called this out and requested a refund based on the misleading a false advertising, I was let down as PayPal did not give me my refund in line with the buyers protection. After a number of phone calls to PayPal, all they offered was a time limited £10 voucher towards a next purchase. This is an insult and shows they could not be bothered helping to protect customers against scam companies. I will definitely be clearing my balance and closing my PayPal account.

Poor customer service support restrictions without explanation or reasoning
First time they added a restriction on my account where I couldn’t transfer money from my bank account to my PayPal without any explanation so I reached out to customer service and they tell me that their risk team issued the restriction and would lift it only to reapply the same restriction a few days later without explanation or warning and I’ve been a customer for 3 years

Worse than useless customer service.
I paid for an item via Paypal and it was not delivered. I have spent months trying to recover a refund, and they stall and put in place barriers at every opportunity. Their customer service is nonexistent.

I was under misconception that…
I was under misconception that purchases would have protection under PayPal. They side with the merchant and not the buyer. I have been a loyal customer for 10 years and I guess you live and learn. I returned items the next day I received and it’s been a month and half that my money has not been released to me. I had to initiate a dispute. They favored the merchant. I’m now having to appeal the denial: why can’t they just give me my money. I didn’t keep the items. It was a full return. I should be entitled to my hard earned money: they can just keep my money and it’s okay ? No it’s not. Please deactivate and do not associate with this shady organization.

"Buyer Protection" is a myth. They side with digital scammers.
I trusted PayPal's "Buyer Protection," but it's completely useless for digital goods. I bought a 1-year software license (on G2A). After a few months, the key was revoked by the software manufacturer because it was illegitimately generated by the seller.I opened a claim providing undeniable proof: screenshots of the locked software, the revoked license, and evidence that the marketplace even blocked my access to the order. PayPal's response? They automatically closed the case in favor of the scammer, stating that the "item was delivered."PayPal completely ignored my evidence and the fact that the product was "Significantly Not As Described." They effectively protect sellers who peddle fraudulent, temporary keys. If you buy digital goods, be warned: PayPal will not protect you. Terrible customer service.

Fraud occurred on my account allowing a…
Fraud occurred on my account allowing a 4k purchase from Best Buy through my PayPal. I was told the purchases were made through my web browser. This makes sense as I had opened a fake invitation on my desktop and had seen some fake pop up "windows defender" and other suspicious stuff but nothing my antivirus software identified. My biggest problem is with Best Buy allowing this purchase without sending me a digital receipt which is standard. They never checked in about a 4k purchase delivered to a post office box in a southern state when I live in Maryland. My problem is reporting the fraud to PayPal and being treated like a criminal letting me know the fraud investigation "may not go in my favor". I was infuriated with the conversation and how I was treated. I use PayPal for security and they provided none to me. Then treating me like the criminal. I am unable to disengage my checking account even though the charge was denied by my bank for lack of sufficient funds. PayPal "advances the cash"for this bogus purchase they never alerted me about either. Its not typical purchase in any way shape or form. Outrageous experience with the fraud department threatening that I'm on the hook for this fraud. I have already canceled PayPal credit card and when this is resolved I will never use this platform again. Unacceptable customer service from years long responsible credit user. I use high amounts of credit and was treated like garbage. Goodbye!

DO NOT USE PAYPAL! I FEEL THEY FABRICATED A SELLER TO SCAM ME OUT OF $570.00
I strongly feel that I may have revealed a seemingly unknown truth about PayPal! I vehemently feel that a viciously notorious and extremely powerful Indian criminal organization now owns and controls PayPal for the alleged purpose of cheating their loyal customers out of their money. I vehemently feel that PayPal fabricated a nonexistent seller to cheat me out of my $570.00. After all, there are a multitude of buyers seemingly being ripped off by PayPal. PayPal said I authorized a transaction from a seller for $570.00. I did not authorize a transaction for $570.00 and never made a purchase. I immediately opened a dispute with PayPal denying that I made an authorized transaction for $570.00. The next day PayPal sent me an email stating: “We've completed our review of your unauthorized activity case, and we’ve determined there was no unauthorized use of $570.00.” I opened a dispute with my Visa card carrier and Visa reimbursed me my $570.00 within thirty days. This validation seemed to have proven that PayPal knowingly and purposely scammed me out of $570.00. I vehemently feel that PayPal has a mandatory policy directing their employees to scam their valued customers out of as much money as they can get from them. I feel a PayPal supervisor directed his employee to scam me out of my $570.00! I then called PayPal to cancel my account for my own protection which still has not been done. I then filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau to direct PayPal to close my account. My PayPal account remains open against my will. Be aware of PayPal! What happened to me can happen to you too.

Don't use PayPal to but goods online…
Don't use PayPal to but goods online they say you have buyers protection but I ordered £350 pounds worth of mainly clothing and shoes form Debenhams for Xmas sent most of it back as just not suitable or to big/small as we all do everyday shopping online, anyway long story short Debs said they refunded me back to my PayPal account but they hadn't don't no what they had done but never pain the money back to my account, been chasing them since so turned to PayPal to open a dispute buyer protection not received refund for items returned to seller and guess what they don't covers returns unless there is a fault not just because you didn't want it, so be warned your not covered for returns.

The joke of Paypal helping scammers
Me: Um, yes, this transaction is invalid and not to my account or an account I'm the beneficiary of. I've never had an account with that form and never will.Paypal: I'm sorry, this transaction matches your history so case closed. You can update or appeal the case here:Me: I get neither option, but my transaction history never processes purchases with my Paypal, only have small amounts for certain businesses I work with coming in. I literally looked at 2.5 years and not one purchase (but plenty of fees), what lies are you telling to me?Paypal: Call your bankMe: So you lied about the appeal, took, cool story.

They hold money for no apparent reason
I've been accepting payments through PayPal for over 3 years now never had a problem until recently now every time I receive a payment of over 1000 dollars they freeze my account until I tell them what the money was for then after I tell them they hold my money for 48 to 72 hours 3 times they have done this to me im a small business I have a family I can't afford not to have my money held for that long for no other reason than they want to. They are destroying my business i don't have money for gas in my truck to get to any jobs so until they release my money I'm unable to work. So not only do I not have my money I can't make any money. But they do take there cut out my money before freezing my account PAYPAL IS DESTROYING MY COMPANY AND STARVING MY CHILDREN.

PayPal stole my money
Absolutely horrible service. PayPal stole my money! I paid a Ryanair flight with PayPal, but Ryanair never received the money. So not only did I miss my flight, but also did I have to pay twice. PayPal kept saying that I should ask Ryanair to contact them, which they, of course, refuse to do. Their complaints procedure is so rigid, that I didn't manage to keep the case open (because I only had 2 weeks to "escalate" the issue, but I only received the answer of Ryanair 6 months later.

I used to think PayPal was great in…
I used to think PayPal was great in saving you grief, if you have a purchase, especially online, that did not go well yet. Suddenly they seem to be favoring the vendors in many cases that you would expect to be easy to fix including my last event with TEMU where I received an item that was not the item I ordered and the shirt I ordered was 3XL and not the XLI ordered so was useless to me. And after two months of arguing, they sent me an offer that the vendor will agree to get my money back to me as long as I ship the wrongfully sent item back to them and pay for the shipping which is ridiculous.I shouldn't have to pay for the vendor's error and there was no effort to give me an RMA number or a prepaid package to send it back to them.So they ruled against me. I sent in details showing a picture of what I got. And what I ordered and the steps that they sent to me to get a refund including their offer, to give my money back as long as I pay to send the item back to them. You would think this would be an easy one to solve, just prepay to get your item back and move on. But that was unacceptable to them, and they dragged it out for 2 months. And they must have known something that I don't know, because PayPal ruled in their favor it's as simple as that I get an item. I didn't order. It was the wrong item and the wrong size. And now they want me to pay more to fix their problem... In return, I am destroying my paypal credit card. And never buying another item from temu, which has become very argumentative and belligerent

I was on a website that was charging 0.10€ for a service. I agreed and paid with Paypal. The next day I got charged 50€ for a subscription without my consent. PayPal declined my request for refund. There answer: records show that this transaction was processed correctly“. When I explained that even so, I got the right to cancel and get a refund within 14 days, I got the same response from PayPal about “correctly processed”. No mentioning at all about my consumer rights for refund. What a joke defending shady sellings like that
