POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE
I called my local Office Depot to order an office chair and was told to go online to order it. One week later I received a T.V. console table that I did not order. The local store would not take the wrong item and told me to call customer service to request a pick up. One week, seven emails, and a pick-up escalation order later I still had the wrong item and was told that my order for the chair was cancelled. Me and my company will NEVER order from Office Depot again. This experience was time-consuming and beyond frustrating. And to have "guidelines" for reviewers is not surprising at this point.

Inaccurate Online Inventory-- INCONVENIENT!
I went to a Office Max location in Jackson, MI on Wednesday, 8/13 to look for a specific item: Dymo black on white label refills. The item was empty on the shelf in the store, but listed as on sale for buy one, get one 50% off. I really needed the refills so I went online that evening to get two sets of two refills for the same item for in store pick up at the same store. My order specifically said I wanted to pick the order up prepaid from the Jackson, Michigan location and the website said it would be ready within an hour or the next day because I ordered it during the last hour they were opened. The business opened the next day at 8 am and I did not receive any email from them 9:29 am saying the order could not be fulfilled and my card would not be charged. I had assumed the items would be pulled from this or another store since the system said I could do in-store pick up. These were items I needed for work and I am now scrambling to get the items from another vendor. Get your tech to have up to date inventory so you can provide accurate customer service. If you want people to come to your store, you have to compete with online vendors and crappy communication and inaccurate inventory will make me shop elsewhere.

I ordered an item online but they didnt deliver
I ordered an item online. (435499910-001) It was delivered to the wrong address. There is literally no way to reach customer service through them, or through their delivery service, Veyer. It says that "no live agents are available at the moment." I have been calling from 10am PST through 3PM PST This is well within the posted customer service hours.OfficeMax is a scam.

HORRIBLE service
HORRIBLE service. Had two very important faxes to send and got NO customer service. She informed me that there were only two people in the entire store, blah blah blah. Not happy or helpful with a definite crappy attitude. Why are you in customer service then, lady? The machines are ALWAYS broken (one out of two was working today), and I left disgusted. They are the only game in town, and they know it.

Don't Go Here! Can't get copy print service on the spot.
This business is done and should close its doors. It is a COPY PRINT PLACE and you can't walk in the door and get 5 copies. No one acknowledges you when you are standing directly in front of them. Unbelievable! Close up shop. You are a disgrace. And your business has gone down the tubes.

Office Depot POOREST CUSTOMER SERVICE
I ordered printer paper and a box of 64 Crayola Crayons online from Office Depot. The order arrived 3-days late. When I opened the box the ream of paper was busted open with crayons everywhere, crayon marks all over the paper and broken crayons. I was told that Office Depot policy is to return the damaged goods; they will reimburse me in 5-10 days and I pay for the replacement order in the meantime! What happened to customer service???? They should be replacing my order without my having to wait 5-10 days to be reimbursed. I did not improperly pack my order resulting in damaged goods. Absolutely Ridiculous!!!

Check Officemax prices on line first!!!
Officemax will price match their own prices on line IF you know about it, otherwise they will rip you off in store. Bought Epson 220 XL ink cartridges. Was going to do a pick-up order but couldn't find the credits for 8 used cartridges I returned the day before (worth $2 credit for each). So I printed the sheet and went in the store. Wow! On line the cartridges were all $6 cheaper, each. What was 16.99 were 22.99 in store. I asked if they price matched their own site and they said yes, if you know enough to ask. Rip Off.

Selling products that they do not carry, then deny a refund
So, I go online to buy a new office chair, place the order, and head to the store to pick it up. One employee goes to the back to retrieve it but returns to tell me they are out of stock and that it can be delivered by 7 PM that night.Frustrated, I return home and attempt to contact their abysmal customer service, only to be hung up on twice. Determined to resolve the issue, I drive back to the store. A mile from the store, I receive an email stating that they no longer carry the chair. At the store, I get a refund and am told it will be credited to my card within 24 to 48 hours. When that time frame passes without a refund, I call again and am told it will take 5 to 7 business days. That period elapses, and upon calling again, I'm informed it will take 7 to 12 business days. Outraged, I call once more and am told a "check" will be mailed by July 28th. I wait and call after the 28th, only to be told that the store should issue the refund.Returning to the store, now furious, I am told to call corporate and threatened with arrest for trespassing if I return. Speaking with customer service again, they claim a check was issued on July 1st, but it has never arrived.DO NOT SHOP with this company. I went to Staples, and not only did they have the chair I ordered online, but they also delivered it the same day. The same chair this company advertised was at my home two hours later. Now, the customer service rep is allegedly escalating my issue to someone else to locate my check—a blatant stall tactic. I'm supposed to get a call from the escalation team in 24 to 48 hours, another delay to get me off the line. They essentially sold me something they did not have or carry but advertised as available, then refused to return my money. This is fraudulent behavior, plain and simple. I have filed a complaint with the Attorney General of Oregon and my bank. Selling a product you don't possess and refusing to issue a refund is not only unethical but illegal under consumer protection laws. This company’s actions constitute fraud and deceit.

Do not trust this company!
Placed an order and got confirmation on screen. It never sent the confirmation email and when I contacted them, they said that they didn't have the order on their system. However, it is showing on my credit card! Would not trust this organisation again

OfficeMax/Office Depot are still around…
OfficeMax/Office Depot are still around if you're in a major city. Although their prices are a little higher than Walmart, Staples or Target, they often have clearance special out front with some great deals. I bought a great office desk for $90 that used to cost over $400. It had a couple of blemishes, but nothing a marker couldn't cover and was a great find.

Very very bad experience for the second…
Very very bad experience for the second time in a year. They tell you to hurry up and place the order and you can get the product the next day. In both cases for me they lied, even to the degree of saying they were at my home for delivery but I wasn't there. Next day? That's a lie! In both cases many days later still no product. The company is a loser, stay away.

HORRIBLE
Went to the Battle Creek location. The lady behind the print counter was rude, I was trying to get help and she kept getting on her phone. While talking to me, she SAT DOWN?
I was trying to get color copies and she even looked right at me and yawned. Sheesh....

Ok store but hard to find good deals
I don't mind shopping here if I can find a good deal. Unfortunately those are usually few and far between.
