Overpriced, incompetent, and absolutely in no knowledge of how to do their job. They’ll only exacerbate your problem. Avoid them like the plague. The ones on the phone were also openly racist, repeatedly mocking my ethnicity and joking about my name, Mahmoud Abdullah, like it’s something very strange and weird.
The posted sign says there is a 3% credit card processing fee, but I was still charged this fee even though I paid with a debit card, not a credit card.When I asked about it, I was told it was a “card charge” regardless of the type of card used, which directly contradicts what is stated on the sign. This feels misleading and should be disclosed and applied clearly and accurately.In addition, a 3% credit card surcharge does not appear to be permitted under New York State law, so this practice may be in violation.
Not sure how this showed as highly dissatisfied. I AM HIGHLY SATISFIED. I couldn't edit that???I took my old Sony laptop to New York Computer Help - Midtown. I wanted a new battery but unfortunately the laptop was so old they could not even find the battery so I picked it up yesterday. Aside from that, the service was great, pleasant and super efficient. And they didn't even charge me for the diagnostic. Side bonus though, I was happy to learn that they offer services I could use for my new Linux computer. Plus they have some refurbished machines for sale which they can load with my preferred Linux distro. This is a big find for me as I've been looking for such a service for a while.
