Not the cheapest but the best

They are not the cheapest but they are the best photobook company by far, so pleased with the quality of the result it looks lavish, and it was so easy to use. I was worried about delivery but they answered quickly and it came earlier than expected! I feel like my photos now shine in a gorgeous travel photo story.

Not user-friendly at all

Not user-friendly at all. You go to the website to try to create a book and it constantly pops up that you should go to the app because it’s easier, so I finally go to the app and there’s no search option. So something that gives me 4600 results has no search option. I Happily moved on to Shutterfly, completed my book and it’s on its way.

Needs improvement

While I appreciated the concept and what initially appeared to be a seamless way to create a photo book, I ultimately encountered numerous frustrating issues with the collage pages and was very disappointed with the final product.Following the instructions, I added my selected photos to each page and chose a collage layout. The system automatically placed the images, which felt ingenious and promised a simple, efficient, and quick way to build the book. However, the software did not format the pictures properly. Several images were cut off, and some overlapped incorrectly with others. Although I attempted to adjust them, the layout often reverted back to its original, incorrect placement. My biggest concern was the review process. The preview pages were displayed so small that I did not notice duplicate images bleeding onto adjacent pages. I did not upload these duplicates, so I cannot explain how they appeared. Unfortunately, because the review view was difficult to assess accurately, these errors made it into the printed product. In my opinion, the platform still has significant room for improvement before it can be considered fully reliable. I was also disappointed with the company’s response to my feedback. While I had already acknowledged missing the errors during review, the issue was attributed solely to user error. Although a discounted reprint was offered, the additional cost—nearly $100 CAD—did not feel reasonable given the circumstances.I will say the team seemed to care about my satisfaction and I was, in the end, offered a partial refund (although they did make it sound as though it would be a full refund). I did appreciate their understanding that the end product was not as expected nor satisfactory. While I still feel I overpaid for the quality received, the partial refund was also appreciated.Overall, while the concept is promising, the execution and quality control need improvement. Based on this experience, I would be hesitant to use this company again. I would want to have an improved final review process before committing to my purchase.

Easy to use but quality not great and poor value for money

Poor quality print on some pages and scuff marks on cover. Really poor customer service. Had to chase complaint several times despite the fact that they kept asking me to comment on how amazing their staff were even though they didn’t respond. Eventually got a free replacement book that wasn’t much better. There are definitely better photo book providers out there although I would say that their digital platform was easier to use

Mixbook has by far the best user…

Mixbook has by far the best user interface for photo books anywhere. It was super easy to get all the pics and layouts arranged and published in one sitting. The book itself is stellar quality and construction. They were also excellent in addressing a billing concern, which is generally highly unusual for online retailers. Thanks to your production and customer satisfaction teams!

Good value for money but there's a few issues ...

I love my new photo book ... except for a few things! Please know, I did reach out to Mixbook about my concerns and they were very quick to respond and resolve the problems, which is why my rating is as high as it is. However, I feel that I should leave a review to warn other customers so they can avoid the problems I had. Let's start with a positive -- the new binding no longer hides the edges of the photos in the center of the book! Huge move forward, in my opinion. And now for the negatives -- this was my first time choosing PREMIUM LUSTRE paper and it was a FAIL! The photos are bland, washed out, and blurry! The colors are muted and lack depth. My previous photobook was printed on standard paper and the photos are undeniably more vibrant than those on the premium lustre paper. Mixbook offered to reprint using their auto-enhancement program, but unfortunately this did not improve my photos (in fact, some photos came out even worse!) (And the reprinted book arrived significantly damaged, so that wasn't great either). Also, after only a few days of having the book, the pages began warp and my book no longer sita flat when closed! This isn't an issue with my previous book, the one printed on standard paper, and that's been heavily used for over 2 years. So PLEASE learn from my error and do not choose premium lustre paper for your photo books! It's not worth the extra money, not even by a long shot.

Used to be good, but will never use again.

Unfortunately, Mixbook quality has gone down the tubes. I have previously ordered well over a dozen books from Mixbook and was always satisfied. My most recent experience though, ended that relationship. I used them for my wedding album, and well, they had to do 3 re-prints to get it right. Text entered in their editor did not appear once printed ANYWHERE NEAR the way it looked on the editor. Words would get chopped off even though on the editor I had them pushed way off of the edge. I will say that customer service was very helpful and offered the reprints, hence the reason i was even willing to give them 3 stars. But definitely no quality control going on over there as it blows my mind that they would send this out looking like that. To add to the matter, I also ordered one print to be printed as a metalic print. 2 months later and several email back and forths and that print never arrived. They kept telling me they were resending a new one and nothing. I'm sorry, I can understand one getting lost in the mail, but 3 or 4 times in a row? I don't think so. Luckily they issued me a refund with no issues. So yeah, at the end of the day, not worth the hassle and lack of quality when there are so many other options out there. It's a true shame.

My First Book and It's PERFECT!

This was my first memory book that I've created online, I was a bit concerned initially that I wouldn't be able to manage this, and that their platform wouldn't work well, or intuitively, but it really does!About a week after placing my order, my book came in a nice, weatherproof (we live in Maine and packages get left outside often, to their demise!) packaging and perfectly dry and cozy!Pro Tip! Double check your photos to make sure when they are in enlarged and in place, they don't look pixelish. One of the photos (I didn't take this one pic with my new iPhone 16 it was from someone else's phone) looks very washed out compared to the remainder I had from my new phone. Double check the resolution before submitting.Otherwise, it's a beautiful little coffee table book of memories I'm giving to my fiancé for Valentines Day 2026! Highly recommend.Excellent quality and execution! Thanks guys!

Website is glitchy. Customer Service didn't listen.

My husband made a book on this site and shared it with me to review and make edits before sending it off. He sent me a collaboration invite. I clicked on the join project button, was sent to their website and could do nothing. I made an account and tried again. The photo for the mixbook project popped up momentarily, there was a redirect, and I received the message, "Nothing to show. Go Home." I chatted with a customer service rep, who went round and round about how the invite was sent to the wrong email address (it wasn't). I sent him a screenshot, but still couldn't convince him it was a redirect issue. He insisted I give him my husband's email address so he could access the account and send me a new invitation. When I tried to join the project from the second email, the error message changed to, " Invitation not found or already used." When I informed the customer service agent, Ernest, he sent me a message saying all was good and did I need help with anything else. When I told him nothing was fixed, he assured me it was and told me all I had to do was refresh the page. This, of course, disconnected our conversation sending me back to the AI bot.

6 months, 7 reprints, no books.

Ordered from mixbook previously and everything was great, including the quality and the shipping, this time was an absolute nightmare. I ordered a reprint of a book we had previously ordered along with a new book, our high expectations were instantly squashed when the book turned up with all the cut lines wrong, making all the layout wrong and a massively oversized spine. I contacted customer support who were very helpful in getting it reprinted. After a long wait the reprint arrived with exactly the same issues. Reprint 2 was the same. At this point mixbook told us there was a "bug" in the system and they would contact us when it was fixed, 6 weeks later I contacted them to find out that no one knew of this bug and the customer service assistant had just made it up and never had intention of getting back to us even though they still had our money. Through contacting them we were offered reprint 3. For reprint 3/4/5 the photos were finally aligned, hurrah! But the paper was much thinner and nowhere near the quality of our previous books or the first 2 reprints. On customer support we were told multiple times that the paper was the same. After 5 reprints there was nothing more they could do apparently so we got a full refund with some credit off the next order. We hopefully ordered the same books again with the credit off, hoping it was just a bug or something unexplained with our order. The new book arrived with the thinner paper again so I contact customer support again, after 30 minutes of being gaslit that it's the same paper and that the order was correct I was finally told that the lay flat paper that we had ordered had actually been discontinued in February 2024, so how was the first half of our order in that paper? We were told it wasn't. This whole ordeal was over 6 months long, being told that the reprint will fix it, that the quality issue is being looked into and that there's nothing wrong with what we've got. All because they didnt inform us that the paper had changed, how were we supposed to remember that the "premium lay flat" used to be the "signature lay flat"? Why did the paper change Halfway through one of our orders. Hellish experience, will never buy from them again.

Dissatisfied

I spent a lot of time trying to create a photo album as a birthday gift only to get the gift and it was not up to expectation. They charge too much to be low quality. I reached out to them about it and they said that they will send a replacement. I said OK. Still haven’t received the replacement. I followed up and radio silence, wouldn’t recommend.

Very disappointed - AVOID

Very disappointed. Slow delivery (always after expected delivery date), poor quality feeling paper on the various books I was investing in. Printing issues - one book had a white line on the front cover which wasn't there on the design. Tried to order 2 of the lay flat options as I had previously - these didn't came as lay flat, just a thick card and the book was only normal thickness, nothing like the previous books. Also don't trust what the spine looks like on the project online as they print this completely different too. Complained and explained, they reprinted some of the order and the whole lot came with all the same issues again!!!!! Unbelievable. They did offer a partial refunded after 2 months of backwards and forwards and probably 80 emails but very gutted and would avoid at all costs as am still out of pocket after all the issues plus time invested in trying to get it sorted. Always thought their product was quality but they've either gone drastically downhill or not sure what's happened.

Lovely photo books

I strated off making a couple of books becuase snapchat memories will soon be deleted or you have to pay for them - so I exported all my old snapchats and made them into physical books. I was very happy with the results, so then I went on to do a photo book for every year of my life so far. It took so long but so good to have physical copies of your memories instead of having them all in your phone only. The books are pricey but its understandable why, and there are often good deals on which can really help bring the price down. Only complaint about the company is that the customer service I recieved was not helpful at all. Thankfully I didn't have a big problem that needed resolving, but I noticed they had "special deals" for if you order 10+ books so I enquired about this and got an unhelpful reply with a quote in the wrong currency and also not an accurate quote as it was done via pages. I ended up just ordering the books in chunks when there was a sale, so it was fine but not the best in terms of customer service. Quality though is lovely.

Good Follow Up

Many of the photos in the photo book looked very different from how they appeared in the app … the colours were oversaturated. The agents were next to useless in trying to resolve the issue. However, when I escalated the complaint, I received a quick, helpful response which should fix the problem.

Used to love this company, but very disappointed this time

I’ve used Mixbook for many years and had excellent service, but this time I have been very disappointed.I am visually impaired and whereas previously I’ve been able to talk to customer services and support on the phone, this time I was unable to. There were new features I didn’t understand, but eventually I managed to complete my book and I was pleased with it. I received an email with a delivery date and was told to not reply if date was fine. The date was good and was due to be on Friday 16th July. Today I got an email to say they’d deliver tried to deliver it. I went on the online chat help. It wasn’t helpful as I was obviously speaking by text to a robot. Who kept putting that the order would be delivered tomorrow -Thursday 15th They kept saying no as we are out but there was nothing I could do. I’ve sent an email but they say it can take 24 hours to respond!

Quality Control was poor

Quality Control was poor. I ordered 20 calendars, which would use my photos, in early November 2025. The calendars arrive about 10 days later with 18 of them having a horizontal indent line across the whole length of several pages, plus other pages had very noticiable blemishes, scratches. I go back to Mixbook and send them numerous photos of the issues and ask that they have better inspection /QC of the calendars which they say they will check each calendar and page and the offer me a "free" reprint of the 18 calendars which I except. The re-print arrives and all 18 are rubbish. Exactly the same issues as before. I go back to Mixbook with more photos of the issues, which makes a mockery of them saying they will check all the calendars before sending when clearly they didn't. The next "free" re-print arrives 12 of the 18 calendars are passable. I go back to Mixbook with more photos of the issues and they offer me a free re-print of 4 calendars, which I accept. The next "free" re-print arrives containing the 4 remaining calendars and 3 are ok. I complain about the last calendar be unusable (same issues as before) and then send me a "free" re-print which was had a white line about 1 cm wide across the whole width of one page so rendering the calendar useless.. By this point it's been 8 weeks since I initially ordered 20 calendars to give to friends and family and clients it's now Christmas Eve and I can't be bothered anymore with Mixbook. So in summary I ordered 20 calendars and I've had 57 calendars sent to me and only 19 were acceptable and the remainder have gone to the paper recycling! Plus I have sent Mixbook over 14 emails to sort this order. Would I use them again - Absolutely not! My advice is check each page of your calendars because they clearly don't. Also, they charge a lot for postage and packing but you don't have any info sent to you regarding the tracking and expected delivery date. So it's another gamble if you're home when it arrives plus the weather if it's left outside your front door!

Amazing Product and Spectacular Service

It's harder and harder to find businesses that truly care about and support their customers. First, their product is amazing and I have been using it extensively for 10 years. But, what sends them over the top is the concern for your product's excellence and commitment to ensuring that everything went right, the product is perfect, and you are satisfied. They have an amazing product and their care for your satisfaction is second to none.
