I transferred from T-Mobile to Mint…

I transferred from T-Mobile to Mint Mobile 1 year ago and now I'm transferring back to T-Mobile. I couldn't get any service unless I was connected to Wi-Fi and my text messages wouldn't send and I couldn't receive them either. My phone call wouldn't work either it would say no WiFi calls available. I gave them two stars only because of the price. They are affordable but it does matter if the service sucks😞

I took a 3-month plan just for wifi…

I took a 3-month plan just for wifi calling when I'm overseas and it works part of the time and then not, saying I'm out of minutes and blocking my call to the USA #. Yet there is no restriction on minutes. Trying to get help is impossible - the bot chat says it will give you a human agent and then it kills the conversation and there is no other way to get to someone directly that I can find. f this company, which has caused me similar problems for 3 years. I'll pay more in the future with someone else.

I am a recovered alcoholic

I am a recovered alcoholic, 35 years sober, and the Mint Mobile Web site is about to DRIVE ME TO DRINK again!!! What an impossible mish-mash of pages . . Ask a simple question "Where is my call history" You get 10 questions back, none of them pertinent. 02 Log on to your account and look for "Usage" THERE AIN"T NO "FOXIN"UASGE!!

Fed up with Verizon

I was so fed up with Verizon and their very expensive single plan for a single line and my only option was the unlimited plan yet they were offering one at half the price for new customers!!! I bit the bullet and switched to Mint and overall the process went very smoothly. It does take some patience and you need to follow the directions and not get ahead of yourself. The issues I did experience were handled efficiently by their customer service, I had a great experience with their customer service on the phone and so far I am very happy with their coverage!! Much better than Verizon by 1000% !!!!

Mint Mobile is the biggest mistake…

Mint Mobile is the biggest mistake you’ll make if you live anywhere somewhat rural. I am kicking myself for making the switch. The service absolutely sucks. Even when my phone shows 3+ bars of 5G, NOTHING will load. Texts (iMessages) won’t even send. It’s insane how terrible it is. DONT DO IT

Amazing

Amazing! Amazing service, amazing experience, and ultimately no hidden fees or misleading practices to get you tied up in a unnecessary consumer relationship. They do cellular service the right way! I highly recommend!

Terrible experience (Tmobile to Mint transfer)

Update: Mint responded with a generic response to call back their support team. Who is still clueless and unable to help. Level 2 basically said that Mint can't work with my phone (a Galaxy S22). When asked if Galaxy S22 isn't compatible she said it is, just not your phone. Samsung said nothing is wrong with my phone and it ported another eSIM from a different company perfectly. Absolute nightmare.USE MINT AT YOUR OWN RISK!!!What a terrible experience with Mint Mobile. They claim transferring from another service is easy and straight forward. I tried transferring from T-Mobile, keeping my number active. I successfully registerred the account number and pin. T-Mobile immediately deactivated my account and Mint said it was correctly registered. The problems start there. No connection, no service. This was the beginning of an 8 hour nightmare with customer service calls. They blamed it on their service towers, then said the sim card must be incompatible with my Galaxy S22 so had me install e-sims. When those didn't work 3 times they blamed the issue on my device and said I need to contact the manufacturer. While going back and forth with customer service, insisting they escalate me to level two support to force the porting, I installed a prepaid e-sim from another carrier. Surprise surprise, it worked perfectly on the first try, Proving it is not a device malfunction and instead an issue with Mint Mobile.

I had a very poor experience with Mint Mobile

I had a very poor experience with Mint Mobile customer service. In the process of changing phones, they managed to disconnect the old phone and not connect the new one. Seemed like a easy fix; it was never fixed. Over a week of trying to get help, I spent many hours fighting my way through AI and long waits for customer service. Most of the reps were friendly, but none could help. Writing "a ticket" didn't get me to anyone who could help. 2 Missed deadlines to call me back (I had to sit around my son's house since I had no phone). Finally, I was told that my account would be blocked for 30 days. When I told the rep that this was unacceptable, he hung up on me! Now with U.S. Mobile, so far so good! When my phone worked, I got adequate, though no great, coverage through Mint Mobile in the SF Bay Area. Had they made an effort to help me, I probably would have stayed with them.

Terrible customer service

I contacted customer service to reduce my data and plan. I have a family plan so our three lines. Instead of reducing the amount of data and my plan they totally disconnected all three lines without notice. I was on the phone and the chat with them for hours trying to resolve it. But they had a difficult time understanding what I wanted. I simply wanted my phones to be reconnected. Never resolved it with them. I believe their customer service is based in another country because the agent had a difficult time understanding what I was saying.***"""""This is an update after they responded to my message above. In reading others reviews I noticed that their response to everyone's is exactly the same. They refer you back to their customer service line. Well I spent hours with them and to no avail they do not help. If they truly cared about their reputation they would try to resolve their customers issues. But they don't.

Customer service needs improvement

Customer service needs improvement. I called to discuss my bill and I was told they would not honor a price that was quoted. Then I asked if I could speak to someone else and they hung up. Also, the customer service reps do not speak English very well and it takes a long time for them to understand the question.

Cell service great - Customer Service not so much

The cell service is great -I love it! It is the customer service / policies which do not work well. I received a credit card statement with a charge from Mint Mobile. I paid for a full year, and I am not due until Sept. So, I called what is this charge. I was told I increased from 5G to 20G!!! I told the CS person I did not sign up for 20G I do not even use the 5G. She said I had 7 days to cancel and get a refund and that time is up. I told her if I knew about this I would have cancelled - I never received an email from MM for the updated service or a notice of xxxx being charged to my credit card. She gave me 2 options she would put a credit into my account (wallet) for use later or I can suspend my service and get a refund. I do not want to suspend my service - I asked her if I do not renew my services in Sept what happens to the credit - it stays in my account until I use it, I will not get a refund to my credit card. I told her I wanted to talk to someone else and that ended up being the accounting dept. I want a logical explanation how this happened. There is none and accounting can do nothing to help me. I was also told the credit mentioned earlier is no longer available - my account was marked "denied" like in I did not want the credit offered. I told the accounting dept this is false. The take aways are 1) they have no policy or way to change my 20G back to 5G until my Sept due date. 2) They have no policy or person in the entire company who can reverse the denied credit to credit - even if this was their fault. 3) they have no policy to issue a refund unless you cancel a service within 7 days or suspend your cell service with them.It takes a lot of effort on Mint Mobile's part to copy and paste the script they send everyone who has come across poor customer service. It would be refreshing to see "I am the manager of Mint Mobile my name is (insert a name) I can help you". I do not want to hear another I apology we have no one in the entire company who can undo the deny as in I did not want my money. Even if our supervisor errored because she did not understand English. I apologize I do not understand how you got 20G service - I believe you when you say did not want it or need it. I apologize - I hear your frustration - but I cannot do anything to help you.

Switched from Cricket to Mint for 4…

Switched from Cricket to Mint for 4 lines. Prepaid the same price for 4 lines for 12 months. All 4 lines should have been put under the unlimited plan, but one was put under 5g. My daughter just got back from deployment and has run out of data and did not even use the phone for 4 full months. Mint would not do a free upgrade. So now Mint will lose renewal on 4 lines over a small $110 charge.
