Misleading AI Advertising

The website uses AI in it's advertisements, which makes me kinda distrustful of the pictures of the items nowadays unless I know its old stock.I'm gonna take my business elsewhere from now on, until or unless they desist using generative image AI (which is known to be built using art without permission from the copyright holder)

expensive, low quality, and inconvenient

do NOT buy from this store. decently fast shipping and quick customer service when I emailed, but extremely expensive for a low-quality and pathetically small mace. when I went to do the return I had to make a paypal account for it, and then pay $16 for a return label. I only got $48 back for a $64 item. not worth it, avoid

Bought a sword cane from here and it's…

Bought a sword cane from here and it's like it came from Temu. The glue from day 1 already broke it seal so it shakes and the sword wasn't even connected to the handle was just laying in the shaft

One of the worst e-commerce experiences…

One of the worst e-commerce experiences I've ever had. I ordered several items two months before a ren fair, and the website said they would arrive in 4-5 weeks because some of them were on backorder. 6 weeks pass and I hear nothing. I go on the website and it says the order is processing. I try to call but it's a Saturday, so I have to wait until the following Monday, meanwhile the Ren Faire is in 8 days. Finally on Monday I call them and just order different stuff that isn't on backorder. It's supposed to arrive Friday, giving me at least one day's buffer to try it all on. Comes Saturday, the night before the ren faire. I try it on. Several items reek. I try washing some and one stains the other. The strawstring on my pants snaps in half with the slightest tug. The belt wasn't anywhere close to my size (the size that was advertised). Virtually every item had an issue, leaving me out of the luck the day before the event despite planning months in advance.

Unscrupulous

Don't usually do negative reviews but received a damaged item (May 2024). Contacted Medieval collectibles (MC), as their policy says, and was told I have to pay for return shipping of damaged item and pay for the shipping of the replacement item. Ridiculous, so I contacted Paypal (PP) opened a dispute, and they said don't communicate with MC anymore, only PP from now on. That is when MC got ugly. Rude, condescending, arrogant, harassing and lies from that point on. They even asked PP for me to go to a specialist and have the damage of the item assessed lol. It was a $30 statue from China. PP said that isn't necessary. A year later, figured would try MC out again and wasn't able to order. Contacted MC by email and Mary responded and stated I was on the "no future order" list because of the charge back. Oh no lol, maybe MC is upset I won the dispute? My account was refunded and didn't have to pay for return shipping. Mary also stated PP nor I, sent them pics of damaged item (lie, PP did send pics and confirmed it again a year later) and said they tried contacting me about the pics by numerous emails, phone calls and texts. There were a lot of them. Hence, the harassment. Again, MC knew communication only through PP. They seem to find joy in being a very unscrupulous company and using intimidating tactics. It didn't work on me. Before purchasing, check reviews (yelp) because there are many one-star reviews. Keep all communications documented by email and open a dispute, if needed. Good Luck!

Sickeningly “fake nice” and condescending

Their customer service team was sickeningly fake nice, condescending and obnoxious. Their response to my kind requests for a return or getting unused credits back with a bunch of fluff then “oops sorry can’t do that.” I tried to be as polite as I could then it seemed like they were responding to my disappointment just to spite me.

Medieval Collectibles - A+ Customer Support

Medieval Collectibles Customer Support is top tier. They really will work to make things right. Every time I've had an issue, there has always been a good reason for it and they've been friendly and fast in correcting it. I've been in Customer Support leadership for 10 years and I am very impressed with the team Amber, the Customer Support manager, has built. They will always have my business.

Worst ever!!

Worst ever!!! I bought exactly the same item from a european company without any problem.Suddenly custpm service says i need permit to import this, so far so good for medieval collectibles.But custom service says they will return the shipment to the sender, medieval collectibles says they dont take anu returns and dont give any refund. I will never recommend or buy any thing more to my pubs
