Incompetent companies

It's another work company hiring people that don't know how to do their jobs and then hiding behind silence and not responding and not curing the problems this is the problems with community college hieraries foreigners being hired and woke people who've been raised on social media for 25 years of being hired they don't know how to solve problems they don't want to solve problems they don't want to go to work they don't even want to get out of bed but somehow they're there giving us all the worst service we've ever had in this country. Lift is another good idea going bad because the owners are idiots. They continue to come to pick me up at my address and the driver's move three to four houses up from where I live to 137 why would they go to 137 when I live at 133? It's absolutely ridiculous and I blame MAPS everyone uses GPS for some reason they're so off TRUE LOCATIONS the systems are never updated, corrected on these websites. Why do people permit information throughout America even on Google searches to be so off and so wrong and not fix the problems?

Bait and switch pricing

I booked a ride with a price listed that seemed reasonable. When I arrived and the driver closed out the ride, the charge was much higher than the price I had clicked on and agreed to. When I tried to dispute the charge, I couldn’t even get a person to deal with. Just an AI chatbot telling me the charge was correct.

LYFT IS TERRIBLE

I will never take LYFT again. I gave them multiple chances to do the right thing, but they would not. I called for a driver and after waiting ten minutes the driver randomly cancelled! I called for another and after the app telling me he was three minutes away….it cancelled. I stupidly called for a third driver and he did arrive. The problem was that with each driver the price rose and rose……it went from $45 to $74 in minutes!!!! I called to explain this to them-good luck getting a real customer service rep- and basically they told me I had no recourse because I confirmed the driver. Yes, but I did not cancel the first two! Terrible!!!!! AVOID LYFT!!!!! Take UBER!!!!!

Not a LIFT To Me

I tried to book a ride with Lyft on the 17th and again on the 20th and couldn’t. Since when does it take two credit cards just to request a ride? And not a single human to speak with. If companies are going to be run by AI, maybe they should be used by AI — not people. Why the fake listed email?

Bad customer service

I have been a 5-star Lyft customer for the past four years, using the platform very frequently and earning multiple top rider badges. Despite my loyalty and history, I feel that customers are not adequately protected when disputes arise.I respectfully ask Lyft’s shareholders and management to review their terms, customer protection policies, and investigation procedures to ensure fairness and proper support for both riders and drivers.Over the past two months, I experienced two serious issues that were not properly resolved:1. February 18 – Cleaning Fee DisputeMy ride took place from 6:04 AM to 6:20 AM. I was later charged a cleaning fee based on photos that were taken between 7:17 AM and 7:20 AM — nearly one hour after my ride ended.I requested verification and documentation supporting the charge. However: • There was no verification that the vehicle shown in the photos was the same Audi Q5 Sportback used for my ride. • There was no documented date, time, GPS stamp, or metadata clearly connecting the photos to my trip between 6:04 AM and 6:20 AM. • There was no evidence demonstrating that I caused the alleged damage.I reviewed the photo metadata, which confirms the images were taken approximately one hour after my trip ended. Lyft refused to provide additional documentation or explain their investigation process.Charging customers without clear proof and transparency is concerning. There should be a fair, documented review process before fees are applied.2. December 28 – Lost Property IncidentDuring a ride on December 28, I asked the driver if I could add a stop, and the driver agreed. When I briefly exited the vehicle, the driver left with my bag and money still inside.Lyft customer service did not assist in recovering my property, and the driver remains active on the platform. This experience was extremely distressing and left me feeling unsupported.⸻I believe Lyft must strengthen its customer service and investigation procedures to truly protect both riders and drivers. Loyalty and a strong rider history should matter, and disputes should be handled with transparency and documented evidence.I hope management takes these concerns seriously and improves accountability and customer protection standards.

Tried Lyft and won't use it again.

I joined Lyft and was supposed to get $10 off my first 2 rides. They only gave it off my 1st. I tried to contact the company and there is no method to do so. You can only dispute an error on the drivers part. My second ride was to the airport. It was supposed to take 15 minutes. The driver obviously didn't know the city or the way to the airport and got lost following the GPS. The ride took 50 minutes, 3 times the original quoted rate. The route was ridiculous using the worst backstreets while I could see the highway which had little traffic. Will never use them again.

Cancelled my reservation for 4:30AM

I reserved a lift for 4:30 in the morning to go to the airport, with two minutes remaining before they were to arrive they canceled. I waited for good 5 minutes there was no replacement so I had to go with their competitor Uber.

Really needed Lyft to come thru, they didn't

I'd used Lyft before and they provided good service. This time, however, they really failed. Having had total knee replacement surgery and needing to cancel my prior physical therapy appt because another ride-hailing company canceled my ride at the last minute, I absolutely needed Lyft to come through for this rescheduled appt. Nope. The pick-up time came and went and checking the app revealed they were 'trying to find a driver.' Why does Lyft confirm a ride that isn't confirmed? Why send me an alert 60-minutes before that my ride would be there in an hour? Completely obliterates any chance of trying to find another way to get to the appt on time. I had to cancel my PT appointment again!

riders and consumers need to be aware, LYFT

riders and consumers need to be aware that Lyft has serious technical issues when booking a ride. don't even download their application. the trouble mostly is with male drivers, had a really second bad experience with one, and will not take another chance. please be aware that in addition to the technical problems drivers can become angry, they will also say that either the ride was canceled or they will threaten to leave you out on wherever it is you are. the application will book a ride even though you have not officially pressed the button. the last young man accused me of leaving him a bad rating, it was raining and cold and not the best area actually on personal property. if you have an issue Lyft has no phone number. a third gender individual still expects to be treated kindly with common courtesy. even after saying goodbye to this man and a say thank you he said nothing. a combination of those can happen with Uber as well but it's more prevalent with lyft. if you need gender to be known make sure that the app has it correctly. especially this last driver caused us some concerns, just wanted the ride to be over. safe driver but hostile. had to close the account for privacy reasons so we wouldn't be tracked. and when you have to tip because you're afraid to do otherwise it's a bad sign. L y f t will also get the addresses wrong. this really means something. but just the fact they send a driver when the ride was not officially booked is troublesome. another thing with Lyft is a writer will book a wait and pay less option but the drive will always show up about 2 minutes later. and they will drive away if you don't look at the "app." commercial rideshare is not what it used to be. sometimes looking at their picture is not enough to glean and impression about them before you get in their vehicle, and it may not even be the same one pictured. they also don't wear a face mask and he was not.

Lyft's referral system is broken and they are cheater

Lyft's referral system is broken and their support is nonexistent. After successfully referring a first-time user, the app failed to credit my account. I provided all necessary proof via chat, but was trapped in a 3-hour loop of agents disconnecting and restarting the conversation. It is clear they have no intention of honoring their promotions. Very dishonest business practice.

Lyft is an absolute joke and they lie

Lyft is an absolute joke! Don't waste your time with this terrible company. You get charged extra for choosing "priority pickup" which is supposed to be faster but it's a scam. Never fails the app tells you a ride is 4 mins away, then when you book all of a sudden it's 11 minutes away, or the driver just doesn't get closer and before you know it you've been waiting more than 10 minutes. Also, drivers are consistently rude and cars dirty, yet every driver has a 5 star rating.

My first and final time using Lyft

My first and final time using Lyft. I got a Lyft to take my mom to the doctor and when I got to the payment part it would not accept my Venmo card so I used my cash app card. Then I realized they charged both of my cards. I contacted customer service and was basically told oh well there's nothing they can do. I had to get back home so I got another Lyft and wouldn't you know they charged both cards again. NEVER use Lyft they will steal your money and tell you morning they can do. And I was charged $8.23 going but coming back the same trip was $14.91. Shitty customer service and they don't deserve to be in business. Just ripping people off and telling you to deal with it. If I could give negative stars I would.

Lyft has really gone down hill. Not only with the ridiculous surge pricing they charge. But some how the drivers all have very smelly cars.

NEVER EVER DRIVE FOR LYFT!!!!!

NEVER EVER DRIVE FOR LYFT I DOUBT IF ITS EVEN A CORPORATION @ this point! and not some homeboys in the basement somewhere running this thing Globally. So my week on feb 3rd came to an abrupt end when a car i rented through them decided to not recognize the key fob in-front of a pick up. I tried like hell to get it to work even door dashed the correct battery upon research. It Proved a no go so the customer cancels and im left waiting on battery & AAA the car is returned to Hertz no damage no trash. Full refund intact! Now this is where it gets interesting i only worked 2 days i had 299.70 in my Lyft driver app so I assume they would take two days for rental fees the fee is $427 a week after tax. Thats $61 a day Can anyone explain why Lyft took $200 & had the nerve to come back 3 days later and take $56 more than immediately tried to take another $11.76 just really sleazy money grubbing behavior its pathetic they can blame it on a system Glitch but in reality it was a design absolutely perfect for what their doing. its the 18th of February and i still haven’t received my money yet so I called and explain to them just like Ive just explained to you that Hertz released my money on the 6th and only $200 is coming back not taken from them but due to Lyft taking $150 like what?! How or why in the world would a ride share company be taking money for a rental that’s already covered ? when their only job is to provide a job ? Moving forward: they always tell you to expect an email that you never receive. It’s like it’s a script a systematic script as if they were selling penny stock. I knew in my head that they were gonna come back on the phone and tell me that someone will email me in 2 days because they don’t have answers as usual so yeah, real fiber optic basement vibes. They never have to worry about me driving for them AGAIN EVER !!! BTW They (TAKE HALF OF EVERY RIDE!!!! ) not a weekly percentage just gonna put that out there ….. if u were thinking about or ever doing business for that matter save yourself the grief thank God for Uber!!! So what have i learned if nothing else from this experience? if they absolutely go out of their way to avoid talking to you, if the interface was designed by someone with limited knowledge on user friendly apps & proper feedback loops for real communication I probably shouldn’t be doing business with them anyway . Made a difference to our holiday - so easy

Downloaded the app before visiting Florida from the UK. Used it all the time, all drivers and cars were great - really reliable. Timed updates were accurate and had choices of availability- did find it better for On Demand travel but a bit pricey for scheduling ahead

Horrible disgusting service

Horrible disgusting service. I’ve been a loyal customer for a very, very long time and this is just crazy. You’re up at 5 AM trying to get to work by seven because Liv has drivers they pick up the rides. They’re already like anywhere from 15 to a half an hour away sometimes they’re like 10 minutes away and then they cancel this is getting crazy. I already had five Lyft canceled on me this morning, not to mention that the prices are very then you can’t get through to anybody I live because there isn’t a number so I’m putting this on the Google rebuild. You guys need to really do something because it’s bad and people are spending their hard earned money just to have to wait for a then you can’t get through to anybody I live because there isn’t a number so I’m putting this on the Google reveal. Driver spoke no English

Driver spoke no English, took us to the wrong hotel, charged us $23 plus dollars for a 1.3 mile ride. Our hotel a Hampton Inn was approx. 8 miles from pickup which is why we agreed to the higher fare. Tried to tell driver it was the wrong hotel. Just got out and call for Uber, never use Lyft again!!!

Lyft maps have a major safety issue in my area. Illegal left turn not corrected after months

I have consistently notified Lyft of a map error in the map system. The map error is to turn left onto a five-lane road which would make it an illegal left turn. This has been in place for the last 8 to 9 months. Lyft has corrected the error briefly for a 3-day .. out of 8 to 9 months after multiple requests .. but now it is back as error to make an illegal left, turn onto a State road 5 Lane. I have spent hours contacting them notifying them of the error and basically it's a safety hazard. You have only one option to use Lyft maps. If a driver with a passenger makes a left turn onto a five-lane road and gets into an accident, Lyft should be responsible because they know it is an illegal turn now. I have notified them at least 9 to 10 times. I have reported it on the maps. It was corrected once for 3 days and then reverted back. I am so disgusted I cannot tell you because I feel completely drained and I don't feel that they are listening.
