Terrible customer service! Spoke with Daniel, the Customer Service Manger, and the only extension that I could get to answer the phone, about an exchange for a sizing issue. He told me, "I don't have time for you right now". Unbelievable! They should move their office out of Boulder and to the South where people know how to be polite.
I have had two pairs of La Sportiva hiking shoes in the past two years. none of them even lasted a year before they fell apart. not going to buy any La Sportiva hiking shoes ever again. La Sportiva deserves zero stars
I am extremely disappointed with La Sportiva's customer service. I have been trying to get a simple replacement buckle for my Vega touring boots for six weeks now - without success.Instead of sending me replacement parts in a straightforward manner, I was first referred to the original dealer (who I can no longer visit in person), then to a Norwegian distributor Atello, who turned out to be inactive. After countless emails between La Sportiva and the Norwegian distributor, I was repeatedly put off or ignored. It seems as if they just wanted to send me round in circles instead of finding a solution. Conclusion: Poor customer service, no commitment and no willingness to really help the customer. If you need a reliable supply of spare parts, you should think twice about using La Sportiva.
Customer service at La Sportiva is a joke. They have zero interest in resolving problems and instead blame the couriers they work with. I feel completely hopeless as I wait for a refund for shoes that I never received.
La Sportiva make some great footwear for serious mountain activities, but choosing the right footwear can be very much a guessing game. The company does not make this easy with poor information on their website and unknowledgable and disinterested customer service.
Really poor customer service. We bought new approach shoes for our son directly from La Sportiva as his size were not available elsewhere. Delivery speed was great.Issue came when we faced a £82 tax/import bill for the apporach shoes that cost £160. We are aware that there may be taxes as the UK is not part of the EU, but £82 is high/unreasonable. There is no suggestion of the high costs prior to orsder. We have never had this from any other mountaineering company before based in the EU.Contacted La Sportiva, but they did not care, just gave arogant reposnses. We will not be using La Sportiva again and will warn others in the community to avoid this company for the future.
I have a dozen pairs of Ultra Raptor (wide and regular) plus a few pairs Akyra, Akasha, and Jackal, both with Gore-Tex membrane and without. La Sportiva make some of the best mountain running shoes on the market. They are incredibly well-designed and durable: you just need to make sure to choose the correct shoe for the intended trail running use and you won't get disappointed. I have been using La Sportiva mountain running shoes daily for training as well as for hiking and 200-plus-mile ultra races for over seven years now and couldn't be happier.I also purchased a couple of shoes directly from their outlet: fast shipping though shipping costs outside of Italy are somewhat high.
Nice design but it is a bit overpriced for my taste.Anyway, I decided to buy the Prodigio model and I paid $155, which is one of the cheapest models available from this brand in the hiking shoes category. They are not boots, so their use is limited to the summer season tamed terrains, but thanks to the latest fashion trends, I can were them in the city as well. They are fancy and can go with my style. However, the comfort is not as I expected it to be. I believe they are perfect city shoes if you are a person like me who prefers to walk around the city instead of using the public buses, but I wouldn’t go to the mountains with them. I don’t trust them yet.
It was the first time for me to buy and try La Sportiva hiking boots. I paid a relatively high price for a piece of shoes, but I don’t regret any cent I spent. This happened to be the best pair of boots I have ever had. The comfort they provide is no match for other boots I have used in the past.Even the design if it is important for you as well. I like their choice of colours. Always trendy. I recommend this brand for hiking boots! It’s the best value for the money!
This summer I updated myself with a nice new pair of hiking boots from La Sportiva. It was the first piece of equipment I had from them. I know this is a really popular brand in the hiking community, but I think they didn’t meet my expectations in terms of quality.Yes, I might have walked pretty much this summer, but for the next season, I need a new pair of boots. At the end of the season, they cracked and were not waterproof anymore. Hikers know how important this thing is. I can not afford to go into nature without waterproof boots. The design and the comfort they provided were really good, but I was a bit disappointed with the quality. I was expecting to use them for at least two seasons.
Really disappointed. My boots started cracking and lost their waterproofness after 11 months of gentle use. Customer services said I could return the boots, at my expense, but were clear that “wear and tear” would not be covered by warranty. I pressed for discount on a replacement pair and was offered an insulting price with a few pennies off. £130 for a pair of boots to last less than a year - I don’t think so. Time to go back to one of the big brands. Shame.
