Always used this place as opposed to the big companies. Value and support local business. However today’s visit wasn’t what I expect. Was reluctantly given advice and guidance, admittedly some help, but the attitude wasn’t pleasant. Felt like I was being talked down to. Bought our items, paid and left as quickly as possible. B&Q for us in future!
If there was a 6th star then these guys deserve it: Paddy, John and Simon are terrific when it comes to gas delivery. Always polite and obliging. I wouldn't consider going anywhere else. Thank you.
Paddy at the St giles store was extremely helpful when we swopped our bottle he was polite and gave us so much information that we didn't know but should have known about thankyou so much . I would most definitely recommend this place to friends and family .
If you rely on Calor gas (or new to it), you'll have realised that getting refills (especially the 47kg propane kind) isn't quite as straightforward as it could/should be. Fortunately for you, Hykeham DIY is the answer. I was lucky enough to speak with living legend "Paddy" on the phone; he not only took my order but managed to deliver it the very next day. I was unexpectedly out (despite my promise), but I still arrived home to a new tank in place where it should be. Unparalleled service!Take note, all suppliers of anything, anywhere: It costs nothing to be as friendly and helpful as Paddy, but it means everything.

Great shop, an absolute wonderland for the DIY'er. Better range of goods than most big chains and helpful knowledgeable staff. Everything from a 13amp fuse to paraffin, timber, tents, log baskets or kitchen tables. Our first port of call for most things now.
After a few rough months with my previous Bottled Gas supplier for my catering business I decided to change. Hykeham DIY were the first company I turned to and they were so helpful. Great phone service and I even collected a bottle on a Saturday with no issues. I can highly recommend this company. I rang to order Calor Gas after finding everywhere was sold out. I was so lucky they has large bottles for mobile homes. The service over the phone was excellent. Delivery was speedy and lots of advice. Very friendly and helpful service from beginning to end. I wont be buying anywhere else now.

Amazing service and friendliness. We ordered two large calor gas bottles, delivered and fitted the next day by Paddy after ordering on the phone from a lovely helpful lady, great guy who went above and beyond the service expected. Could not recommend this business enough
What an amazing company, with friendly management, and all the staff are so very helpful. Fantastic shop that sells everything you could possibly want, it's huge inside and caters for everyone. Customer service is outstanding, delivery always on time, really I can't praise the company enough. So pleased that you even had ppe and hand sanitizer when the covid pandemic was at its worst. Just moved to a new house with LPG gas and no clue how to replace the bottles. Despite a national shortage of gas this was no problem for Hykeham DIY who were extremely helpful and got fast delivery of a new bottle the next day with a friendly & helpful tutorial on how use them. Will definitely be using them again for my LPG supply and looking forward to seeing what else they have to offer

Recently moved into a property with LPG bottles for the heating and hot water and eventually realised I had no idea what I was supposed to be doing with them! Hykeham DIY came to my rescue. I was given a run through over the phone and then Paddy came the next day with some bottles, a personal tutorial and some handy hints and tips. And all delivered with a smile and friendly banter. Will definitely be using them as my supplier!
