I am shocked for being called by one ring, when I picked up their line - provocative actions - operator closed line. When I done call back , wrote an email - again , same call one ring - I picked up phone - closed line . I am wondering if genuine sense of law is working in this company, as your clients are frustrated, so you give them more troubles. UK was always problematic.
I don't know where to start, but first and foremost, I would advise against using this firm. My experience with them was quite frustrating. They took my case on a no win, no fee basis regarding a false arrest, which should have been a straightforward case to win. Initially, the first offer from the defendant was £500, and I was advised to accept it. This would leave me with only £375 after the firm's 25% cut. I refused because I believed my case was worth between £1,000 to £1,500 and insisted on a minimum of £1,000. After some back and forth, they went back to the police, and I eventually received £1,000. It seemed to me that the firm was primarily focused on making money rather than seeking justice for their clients.I was promised that I would receive justice against an officer, and that I would be able to obtain my GP records for a medical report. However, none of this happened. When the case was settled, I inquired about the promises made, but I received no response.Promise the world to get your case and earn nothing but money for the firm.
They don’t even finish basic data breach claims let alone action against the police cases. Even with proof and the defendants admitting fault they are yet to take any action. Years of waiting and absolutely nothing. They take cases on and then do nothing so they can claim a cut if the cases are ever completed by someone else however by then it’s usually too late to make a claim and other companies won’t take it on because of already having these people “work” on the case.
Very easy ro work with and professional. Explaining everything clearly every step of the way. I had a very good para legal and solicitor acting for me. I would recommend HNK solicitor and would definite use again if needed to.
My experience echoes what a lot of others have said. I was wrongly arrested in Birmingham, carted off to a police station miles away, and kept in a cell for about 6 hours, then released and bailed. My arrest was caught on film by a couple of ‘auditors’ and posted on YouTube. I was advised to claim compensation and HNK solicitors were suggested by one of the auditors who I met up with at a later date. That meeting was also filmed and posted on YouTube.The solicitor said I had a strong case and agreed to take it on on a ‘no win no fee’ basis, which I agreed to. I didn’t have much to do with it after that, and assumed they would eventually let me know what the outcome was. Then one day I received an email from then saying I owed them over £1600. Apparently this is because I didn’t take out some insurance they were flogging that I didn’t want or need. Perhaps their definition of ‘no win no fee’ differs from mine. I’m baffled as to why they then apparently started on this case if I never agreed to pay them anything. Also, £1600 seems a bit excessive for allegedly writing a letter (that I’ve never seen a copy of) considering if I had got paid compo, their cut would be about £500. I wished I’d seen the reviews on here first. My advice would be to avoid them like the plague.

Terrible service. They do not tell you the costs upfront. Ended up taking over 65% of settlement from a case that never even went to court. They do not care about you, only about money.
16 months of engagement wasted.Very clear case against the police for wrongful arrest, unreasonable use of force. Prior to starting the claim and throughout, I provided the facts of the case and situation, to be told I had a strong case against the police.When evidence was released by the Police, everything I had said from the beginning was totally aligned with the evidence, proving everything I said was true - to be then fobbed off and told I do not have a claim.- Then spent 16 months on a unlawful retention of data against the police, strung along being told had to wait for 12 months to pass, when the time came to submit the claim I was told they no longer have capacity to take it forward.Then, found months later they are still advertising on their website re unlawful retention of data against police and are actively emailing people including myself on how to bring a claim against the police - new claim submitted, again with all the evidence showing how the claim is valid - to be told there is little chance of success - again is a complete lie as I meet all the criteria for the claim to be successful.Like others here, I wish that I had researched Higgs as I have wasted nearly 2 years for nothing where I will have to start again.Final kicker - Lauren Clarke repeatedly advised that there would be no charge for me being passed over my case file should I wish to move to another firm - when the time came and I requested this they advised I would need to pay £5000 for basically 2 letters they had sent.AVOID AT ALL COSTS.
Very bad service very bad my father & his brother didnt get anywere with our legal compliant on a service with had to go to another law firm to restart our case from the beginning 😡😡this service has also got very bad reviews on trustpilot and many of the advisers ofthis service are very rude !!!😡😡😡dont use this service there are better law firms out there !
Shockingly poor law firm. I spoke with one of their paralegals (Justyna Grzelak) about my case last month, making her aware from the outset that I have significant and enduring mental health issues including ptsd following a traumatic incident which took place two years ago. I also notified her that I suffered a mental breakdown as a direct consequence of the organisation responsible for what happened to me deleting the CCTV footage of the incident several weeks after I wrote to them requesting the preservation of said footage. Justyna exhibited zero empathy and even cut me short to alternatively focus on inappropriate questioning completely unrelated to my case. HNK's website (riddled with grammatical errors and spelling mistakes) describes her as a qualified mental health first aider who is purportedly "well equipped to assist any of our client [sic] who struggle with their mental health" with a supposed additional interest in the "mental health welling [sic] of her co-workers". In stark contrast to her self-serving online profile, she was callous, abrupt and rude towards me throughout my consultation with her. In spite of spending several hours preparing and collating a comprehensive bundle of evidence (at her insistence) I was subsequently informed weeks later, without any discernible valid reason or explanation, that my case lacked merit. Thereafter, when I wrote back to HNK requesting clarification of the evidential/legal basis of their decision, they refused to provide one. To add further insult to injury, HNK said they would only be prepared to reconsider their (unreasoned) position if I was able to somehow obtain CCTV footage of the incident, in spite of the fact that I had advised them from the outset that the footage was deliberately and wilfully erased by those responsible for what happened to me and had provided them with incontrovertible documentary evidence of this. HNK's unabashed lack of empathy and/or professionalism has only served to compound the significant trauma and injury I have already suffered. I would respectfully suggest exercising extreme caution before deciding to instruct them. I would not wish the unpleasant ordeal they put me through on my worst enemy. Postscript: I regret not checking HNK's rating on Trustpilot before approaching them about my case. It would have saved me a significant amount of time and trouble.
I have never known such an incompetent firm of solicitors. Craig Newton's lies are as bad as the lies from police whom they claim to hold to account. Letters before action are done by paralegals without any oversight. I have seen better work from Grok v1! No better than ambulance chasers, and to make it worse, their staff breach GDPR by storing client data unsecured. NW, MB and AB data disclosed. If these are your initials, i'd contact HNK and ask if your data is secure.
The service provided by this solicitor’s firm was utterly reprehensible. It appears that they believe they possess all the necessary knowledge, but in reality, they are merely adept at handling paperwork and lack any substantive expertise.This firm is a complete waste of time and effort. It is evident from their paid advertising and the fact that they employ uneducated individuals working for a “legal firm.”It is challenging to maintain professionalism when my fame and notoriety are addressed, by being called my first name without identifying myself. I strongly advise against engaging with this firm. They are the epitome of mediocrity and lack any competitive edge. They are merely a shadow to my savants.FabricI recommend recording your calls, as they are prone to lying and fabricating information. As a renowned figure with extensive connections, I have encountered rude and unprofessional individuals at this firm who are familiar with me.These individuals deserve a lesson in proper conduct and a claim in discrimination

Which means that they should be very experienced and know what they’re doing but it seems to me they’re tricking you and giving you a band C which is a trainee solicitor. Don’t have no ideal. Don’t be fool. Read contract. 21.11 no need give national insurance no just need passport and proof address for a personal injury claim if they’re claiming for legal aid which means that you’ve been a subject to a case with the police for a pending investigation of a conviction then that’s total differentRemember work with police. Do not go anywhere near hnk underxany circumstances if you dont want you life ruined started out a no win no fee with hnk solicitors the case went so far with no result so I wanted it to end there but hnk solicitors went behind my back and aranged a court date for 3 days I said I'm not attending because I will be liable for court fees hnk replied if you do not attend we will take you to court you will be lible for thousands and thousands of solicitors fees and threatened to put a charging order on my house and told me don't worry legal aid covers costs .the case went against me now I'm having debt collectors knocking at my door the legal aid a five figure sum off 42grand all went to hnk hnk should be struck off they are lying decietful vile solicitors from hell I regret the day I ever heard the name hnk don't full into there trap like me read other hnk trust pilot reviews you will run a mile hope i have helped you from being scammed because thats what hnk are scammers liars. will give you misleading information hnk will try everything in the book to scam you what a disgusting practice should be struck off do not go anywhere near them you will be sorry thanks for reading hope iv helped you find a decent solicitor
Excellent service from Michael Wharton who dealt with the case very efficiently, couldnt have asked for more. Everything went smoothly apart from communication with lady on phone doing pre assessment of case she had what sounded like Eastern European accent, couldnt work out if she was asking me a question or telling me something about the case, when she said 'are you aware? In relation to Police have dropped the case ' even asking her to clarify and how she would know this, and in the end took it as she was telling me this had happened as she merely kept repeating ' are you aware', statement, apart from this she was professional.
Appalling Law Firm! Two documents with all my personal data went missing on its way to me. Concerned, I contacted my solicitor about it. He whitewashed it and turned it around and said it was up to me to chase up missing post. Seriously? Other thing went wrong after that so I phoned them and asked to speak to the partner dealing with complaints. I was told they would email him and he would get back to me. That was 3 months ago! And he didn't. So I called again two weeks ago, explained no one had called me back. They said they would mark the email urgent. Two weeks have gone since then and no phone call! They are clearly contemptible to clients and their own complaints procedure. As they are ignoring me I feel there is no point of putting this in writing to them and so I will contact the Legal Ombudsman directly. I seriously fear my case, which has overwhelming evidence in my favour, will be lost due to their appalling incompetence!
Avoid HNK SOLICITORS They work with the POLICE.The most unprofessional firm, don’t believe there good reviews. They work alongside police, delay your case with the pretense they’re still investigating your case whilst liasing with the police especially on serious cases eventually telling you haven’t got a case, whilst they get payed.I’ve transferred my case to another solicitors firm if you are already entangled with this mess of a firm do this before they waste 12 months or more of your time then you’ll be given an excuse.My case was clear as day raided/attacked by 12 riot police officers, property then searched nothing found left with no apology no care for my care concern or injuries just left however that metropolitan police for you.Michelle Mcman wasted 12 months with my case lack of communication one day I called in 12 times and couldn’t get through to her continuously told by the receptionist no nones available.Avoid this company at all cost there Co-owner Craig Newton, doesn’t even apologise even when he’s solicitors are in the wrong but make excuses for them.This solicitors firm is based around gaining as much money as possible, no form professionalism or empathy.I doubt there even actual solicitors within this firm with experience and knowledge with decent customer service .Michelle Mcman contacted me twice verbally within the whole twelve months and handful of times via email.I can’t put forward across how unprofessional it is to give the police extensions without notifying the client.After numerous extensions by Michelle the police eventually gave her the body cam footage not all of it, they held back the worst parts as they do.However after numerous calls and arguments with the reception and also Michelle as she was holding back the footage saying, I need to give consent and she needs to speak to her supervisor.I was eventually emailed me the body cam footage 5 days after me being given consent same day via email, bearing in mind I’ve waited 5-6 months for footage.The receptionists are trained to say your solicitors are unavailable can we request they call you back .I heard this for a good few months.If you’re looking for a firm who deals with actions against police avoid this one with all costs.I will you going the SRA and the legal ombudsmen as this is truly unjust.My case had been transferred as of yesterday worst firm ever……. Avoid all costs
Avoid do not waste your time with these paralegals. You won't get the time you waste back. Look for a proper firm with proper solicitors that will hand your claim, not waste your time and will call you back not you calling them all the time and ALL FULLY UNDERSTAND MENTAL HEALTH and the stress things like this cause people. A gang of kids in a office don't know a thing about law. A joke of a firm terrible. Just causing more aggravation, unnecessary stress and suffering to people. Don't get anything done.

I wouldn't even give them one star. When calling a firm, the first piece of advice is to read the debrief before contacting the potential client. I have worked with a variety of legal firms. Never in my life have I dealt with a company that is unable to grasp the law and legislation . They are unqualified to assist; who is registered with the sra ? I am shocked that they can practise law. They have to be the worst firm, I've ever encountered masking as Solictors : they can't listen, understand the situation, or provide advice. Remove all phone attendants, and if you want excellent reviews, hire professional employees. They can't even read the notes! It's shocking to think they are in the business of law. Reading other reviews I am not alone!
