SAME AS BAIT AND SWITCH
I drove 100 mile round trip to buy a log splitter. It not only wasn't in stock at that store it isn"t available in 10 different stores we checked. It looks like they would take the item down if there wasn't any stock to be had. I called customer service and received no help whatsoever! THIS CUSTOMER WON'T BE BACK!!!

wasted Time
At no point in the last 9 months have I been able to access their website to confirm that they have the product available online or in the store. Results, 5 trips that were Absolute wastes of time and money going there to turn around and having to order from another retailer. Every time the store employees either cannot by phone or in person say when and/ or if the item will or won't be available. The general attitude seems to be that wasting my time and energy going there is my mistake.

Useless coupons
Love it when a chain sends out so called coupons to obtain a mailing list for spam and never stock up on the inventory that are included on coupons. I called 4 local stores after going to Keller store for latest store freebies and they were out day coupon started. Other stores were out quickly after. Nice scam to get people in the stores. Their products are hit and miss with some quality based and some made very cheaply. Floor jacks and power hand tools will not last and same with parts cleaners do buyer beware.

Spent a fortune, they don't even care
I have spent a small fortune at the local Harbor Freight store and joined Inside Track to be made aware of deals and discounts. I received notice of a deal today, so I went to the store to purchase an item only to be told that I don't have a membership and further that they don't even show most of the purchases that I have made in the last 12 months, including ALL of the major ones.So much for customer loyalty. When the business doesn't care any more about their customers than this, why would anyone be loyal?

This store is consistently out of stock…
This store is consistently out of stock on items they advertise and there are always excuses for why. The management here is ineffective and clearly in over their head. They spend money on remodeling the store but do not keep shelves stocked. Customer service is severely lacking. Going there is very frustrating and more trouble than it is worth.

Does not honor returning inferior merchandise
Bought a tire puncture kit. Got a flat tire. Tried using the device, it bent and was unusable. Got the tire fixed at Costco. Returned to Harbor Freight. I did not have a receipt but it was labeled Harbor Freight I just wanted a kit that worked. I was not a member of their rewards program so I did not have a phone or other way for my purchase to be tracked. They wanted my ID but I was not comfortable with that. I will not be returning to Harbor Freight.

No parts? Huh
Bought a sun joe pole saw and guess what? They don't carry tension screws! Isn't that funny. Returning pole hedger just bought to avoid a future issue if need a part. Ridiculous when buy products that companies don't support.

Harbor Freight is a total chicken s**t…
Harbor Freight is a total chicken s**t outfit. And they are morons too.Chicken S**t: they sold me a dried out epoxy pkg that was not usable and, unbeknownst to me, the paper receipt says "all sales are final." I could hardly squeeze the paste out of the A and B tubes. I go back to get it replaced and I'm informed that all sales on that item are final and there is nothing they can do, given company policy. The message is "sure, we sold you a defective product but that's your problem, not ours" - based on the printed comment on the receipt. That response is not acceptable.Morons: last 20 years I've spent at least $100/year at HF. And, otherwise, that would likely continue for the next 10 years. To replace a product that they sold me for $5, would likely cost HF about $1. So, to maintain this anti-consumer policy and save a $1 for the bottom line, they have lost a customer that was likely to spend $1,000 over the next 10 years, resulting in a profit of $500. Save $1 and forego $500. Morons!I will never, ever spend another dime at Harbor Freight.Cheerz, Larry Grant

defective product
had a defective product and they charged me a restocking fee when I returned. meaning they are restocking a known defective product to sell to the next person who will return it and be charged a restocking fee. Best scam in the business

Huffing and puffing cashier
I went the Harbor Freight store on 9649 Lost Knife Rd Gaithersburg MD 20877. I provided a coupon but the total price seemed high. I asked the cashier if she scanned the coupon. She said yes. After getting my receipt, I noticed the coupon did not scan. I advised her the coupon did not scan. She huffed and puffed and said she scanned the coupon and there is nothing else she can do. I asked for a supervisor. She did not want to call a supervisor so she said the coupon doesn't work. I asked for a refund. She huffed and puffed again as if I'm now bothering her now. She wanted to make it as difficult as possible on purpose so she said I need to provided a driver's license number and phone number. The customer prior to me returned an open box item but she never asked for such info. So I asked why and she said it is required with a grin on her face. My biggest disappointment was the way the cashier spoke to me as if I was bothering her, very short, and providing BS responses.

Well my husband buys there all the time…
Well my husband buys there all the time and is never is disappointed with his purchases at Harbor freight. That's a plus but I have an issue when I visit a store with him and I see these items out on display for everyone to have easy access to buy and do whatever. I believe these items should be under lock and key and when purchasing you ask for ID. I speak of machetes, blades, knives etc....Please consider the idea!! Thanks for your time

No customer service or knowledge.
No customer service and very little knowledge of the products (junk) they sell. More time is spent trying to sell you an extended warranty than anything else. They had no idea what simple product I was looking for.

Harbor Freight Is The Worst Place For Tools
I would NOT recommend Harbor Freight; this place really sucks now! Their customer service gets worse every year. I received their coupons yesterday and I drove to 2 different stores that didn’t have the item. When I finally arrived at a 3rd location, I realized what I saved on the item I spent in gas driving from store to store. Then to make it worse their customer service wouldn’t even allow me to purchase a 2nd set, even when I explained the 3rd location is 30m miles away and that I was buying for a friend and could confirm this…. They really suck now, it’s like they go out of their way NOT to make a sale. I’ve contacted their customer service office, which is completely useless, and that’s if you can even get anyone on the phone. They lost me as a customer, I will never shop at their stores again, it’s just not worth it. Even when they have a sale, their locations are always too far to drive from any area and their customer service is the worst! I have even made them aware, and they simply do not care…that’s usually the first sign a store is going downhill. This was the same behavior I saw in stores like Sears, right before they went out of business. Their website is lousy too, nothing ever works. So, in the end, if you need tools, stick to Depot or Lowes, but don’t ever waste your time with this place. If I had more space I could go on and on how lousy that place is, but I would just avoid it altogether!
