Great barefoot shoes, & lovely company to deal with.

I really like Groundies shoes, and since buying my first pair in January 2022 they have become my favourite shoe brand. I only buy barefoot type shoes now, and if I need new footwear I go to Groundies first and hope that they have what I need. They fit me well, are nice quality, and I've found their Customer Care team to be responsive and friendly. My only wish? That they had shops in the UK!

It’s your problem if the shoes don’t fit

Way too pricey, especially for the poor customer service they offer. We bought shoes on sale and they were too small even though we selected the right size. In spite of this the company refused to cover return costs or replacing for the right sized shoes, so our only option is to spend 50eur or so more to get the right size. For the record, we tried on a similar model from groundies that a friend had with the same size and they fit fine, so this is clearly a failure on their part.

Placed an order 10 days ago and it still hasn't shipped. No communication from the company and they took my money.

No shoes received

I placed an order for shoes on 14/11/2025 and, to date, I have neither received the products nor any shipment updates. Despite contacting customer service twice, I have received no response whatsoever. This lack of communication is unacceptable. The order was paid in full by bank card, and I expect immediate clarification regarding the status of my purchase or a full refund.

Horrible and expensive return

Absolutely horrible return experience. Since I'm in Sweden, I have to manage the return myself. Find a delivery company that sends to Czech Republic(!) With an address so weird, I'd be surprised if the return even get there. And then pay 30eu for the return. DHL wanted a 100eu.Luckily I only had to return 1/3 pair of shoes, or it would have cost me upwards of 100eu.Never again

Still haven’t received the shoes that I bought for my toddler. Is has been 3 weeks… e-mailed them but no reply. Last time I ordered something. Do not recommend.

In 2023 I bought a pair of shoes

In 2023 I bought a pair of shoes. I decided to return them a week later, expecting a full refund. They declared bankruptcy and said that for legal reasons they could not refund me as the money was blocked. I managed to get the money back from Paypal but the customer service at Groundies was just terrible. Would not buy from them again. They basically just shrugged their shoulders at me when I asked for a refund. Thank goodness Paypal actually has good customer service!

is this a scam? - Not received my shoes, very unhelpful customer service

I bought my shoes over a week ago,then suddenly my order page started showing “Item not shipped yet, will be back in stock soon” (they were of course in stock when I bought them); I suspect they messed up their stock count, can happen, so I emailed customer service and they reassured me it was a mistake in the system, my shoes were in the warehouse and I would get a notification of shipment the day after.Few days have passed and they are still listed as “Back in stock soon”, and CS stopped responding to requests of clarification.It can happen to have issues with stock listing on your website, but I would expect CS to be honest about this.So far, very frustrating experience.Quite sad because the shoes looked really nice :(

I’ve ordered these about 2 weeks ago…

EDITING my review to add that as you can see per their response, they are having technical errors that cause some orders to not be processed. After letting them know that I still wanted my shoes, they got them to me via next day shipping! Upon receiving my shoes they are great quality and super stylish! They don’t look weird like most barefoot shoes. They are a little stiff and squeaky when I walk but I think that will improve over time, and doesn’t affect the comfort. The sole is flexible too. The only thing is if you have a wider toe splay then I would suggest ordering the barefoot plus option, I’m able to get away with these because I have only just recently started wearing barefoot shoes and I have narrower feet. I’ve ordered these about 2 weeks ago and still haven’t heard a thing about processing or shipping, despite the fact that their website says orders are processed and shipped within 1-5 days. I bought these shoes for an upcoming Europe trip expecting to have plenty of time to get them before leaving, only to be a week out and still no news. I emailed customer service and they were not able to give me an answer, just a generic “we still haven’t got to your order, sorry for the delay” response. Now that I’m reading reviews here, I see that this is a common issue. Really disappointed and I haven’t even received the item yet. I really hope it isn’t a scam. I would like to push the order through in hopes to still get them before my trip! I will update my review once I receive the shoes. Thank you

No shoes

I bought and paid shoes, they took my money, but I got no infoI wrote an inquire email to this email address:objednavky at groundies.czI got an answer, but that was just a general answer, no tracking number, no information.I can prove that I paid for the products.No shoes, no tracking number, noninformation if it was posted or when will it be posted.I wrote an email to ask about posting and the tracking number, in the answer there was no info about posting, no tracking number. After a week and and inquiry email I have zero information.

Wrong size shoes, no proper customer service

I ordered shoes from Groundies and they arrived in the wrong size. I contacted customer service twice and both times I only received a generic automated message. Nobody has actually responded to me or offered a solution. This is unacceptable for a company at this price level. I expect a proper answer and resolution, not to be ignored.

I bought a pair of shoes from this…

I bought a pair of shoes from this company, but unfortunately the size did not fit. Normally, returning shoes and ordering a new pair should be simple, but here it was extremely frustrating. The website provides instructions for returns, but in reality they are impractical. I received only an automatic email with return instructions, but no real support when I tried to follow them.The only option they offered was to ship the shoes back with DHL at my own expense, which costs an unreasonable amount of money. I expected proper customer service to assist me with the return, but instead I was left on my own. Very disappointing experience – I will think twice before ordering again.

Blocked from website trying to get return

I ordered 3 pairs of shoes and 1 was the wrong size. I followed the return instructions and when I went to check on the progress of my return it said that my whole IP address was blocked from their website! Acting like a scam of a company

Misleading size guide and rude customer service

I'm an Irish customer so pick my sizes using UK sizing. The size guide on the website say EU 45 = UK 10.5, which is my size. When I received the shoe, the label inside the show said EU 45 UK 11 and the shoes were too big. If the website had said EU 45 = UK 11, then I would have gone smaller. If the shoe label said UK 10.5, and they were still too big, then I would have accepted that. However I believe the misleading size guide is the company's error.I contacted customer service and received very unhelpful and rude replies. All I wanted was my return postage fee to be covered, but was denied.Be consistent with your size guide. If you do not wish customers to choose based on UK or US sizes, then don't provide them in the guide when you're not willing to standover them.

Bad quality and no customer service

I ordered two pairs of shoes. One of them, after about a week and a half of wearing it a total of maybe 3 times, was already starting to fall apart.I sent them an email on June 2nd with visual proof, stating that this can't be and that I wish to get some sort of recompensation or to get the shoes replaced. It's July 1st now and I have not received any response yet.This proves to show that Groundies does not only sell low quality and not very durable shoes, but also that they don't have the greatest customer service either.So, should you ever have an issue with your order, don't expect to get a reply from them.
