Support = Subpar

After years of dealing with the constant maintenance, plugin chaos and bloat of WordPress, I made the switch to Ghost and have been generally happy with the core experience. The platform delivers on what it promises: a clean, fast, distraction-free editor focused purely on writing and publishing. The built-in tools for newsletters, memberships and subscriptions work smoothly, my site loads quick and overall it's a refreshing change that lets me spend way more time creating content than tinkering with the backend.The support side is where things disappoint. When issues do arise—whether technical glitches, setup questions or edge cases—their team's responses feel dismissive and indifferent. Support often seems unwilling (or perhaps unable) to invest the effort needed to properly troubleshoot and resolve problems, leaning instead toward generic or canned responses. It can leave you feeling like you're on your own once you're past the easy stuff.Ghost is a strong choice for straightforward publishing needs, especially if you're comfortable self-troubleshooting or sticking to the docs/forum. But if you value responsive, hands-on help for anything beyond the basics, it might frustrate you.To the CEO and hiring manager: you desperately need to revamp your support team. At least consider it.

Ghost.org does not deliver its agreed service.

Title: Partial Refund, Poor Support, No CEO ResponseI paid Ghost 6,010.82 baht on 25 November 2025. After weeks of unresolved problems and repeated offers of refund instead of solutions, I finally received only 5,785.93 baht back on 15 December — not the full amount I paid.Throughout this process, Ghost failed to provide clear instructions, often replying with copy‑and‑paste “solutions” that didn’t address the issues. My emails were skimmed rather than properly read, and no genuine attempt was made to resolve the problems.What’s worse, the CEO, John O’Nolan, received my correspondence but never replied or acknowledged it. This lack of accountability is unacceptable.Ghost’s approach was to stall, frustrate, and push refunds rather than fix their systems. Even then, the refund was incomplete. Customers deserve better.Trust pilot shows that nearly half of Ghost’s customers report unresolved problems — my experience confirms this pattern.Everyone should be aware: while Ghost may eventually refund part of your payment, you risk wasted time, poor communication, and unresolved issues.

Odd photo experience

Something very odd here. Not part of all. Lower quarter of screen showing wide screen photos??? First one. Picture very like my room but it's differently set up. The window in wrong place, small cabinet wrong place. Then a beautiful hill landscape I have never seen appears. Is this part of app

A Terrible Way To Have A Website

After years using Wordpress I thought I would change as I wanted to spend less time on the website stuff and more on writing. I saw some positive reviews on YouTube about ghost.org. So I moved my website there. That was a BIG MISTAKE. It really is useless, especially for the money they charge. My advice is DON'T DO IT. There's nothing there. The themes are too simple and don't work - the one I paid for didn't work properly. There's no ability to design a website that looks even half decent. The support is never around when you need them. If you have some spare cash to throw away then give it to a charity rather than to ghost.org. You'll feel better for it.

Worst site

Worst site. They tell you that you can use it for free without telling you that it only last 2 weeks, and then you are forced to pay of your site gets deleted. Go with wordpress, Ghost sucks.

Disappointing Experience with Ghost

Title: Disappointing Experience with GhostRating: ★★☆☆☆I recently started using the Ghost platform with high hopes. I was lured by the streamlined user interface and the myriad of functionalities it offered. However, I regret to report that my experience has been far less than satisfactory.First off, the billing policy was unclear and not intuitive. I found myself being billed for a service that I had intended not to use. There was an error on my part as well, but the lack of clarity in the billing procedures contributed to this misunderstanding. I believe a clearer and more user-friendly policy would significantly improve the customer experience.Additionally, when I approached the support team to address the situation, I found the response time to be slower than I would have expected from such a reputed platform. It took multiple exchanges to get a clear understanding of what had transpired, and even then, the resolution offered did not feel fair given the circumstances. While Ghost offers a refund for the current month as a goodwill gesture, it falls short when the platform has not been utilized at all. It seems like a small ask for a company of this stature to provide a full refund in unique cases like mine where no services have been used.Although Ghost seems to have a great product, the poor customer service and rigid refund policy have left a bitter taste in my mouth. I believe a company's strength lies not just in the product it offers, but also in how it handles customer grievances. In this regard, I think Ghost has room for significant improvement.That being said, if you're planning on utilizing the platform frequently and understand the billing policies, Ghost might be a good fit. But for those who value flexibility and top-notch customer service, I'd advise caution.Sincerely,Chase

Poor customer service - expensive - difficult to import content

I migrated to ghost in January and moved all my posts from a Wordpress blog. You sign up for a free trial. I never got notification that they would delete my content but they did because Ididn’t sign up for a paid account after the free trial. They blamed it on GDPR and privacy saying they couldn’t host content that I voluntarily added. I then had to reimport the blog posts from Wordpress but this time I found out when you do this you can only then edit those blog posts in HTML which is the opposite of Ghosts mission of being an easy blogging platform. You can’t copy and paste the text to import because it doesn’t keep the formatting. They then offered to import the posts for me but i have to sign up for an annual plan and pay. This has taken weeks to resolve and many mails back and forth with different contacts. It makes no sense that they don’t have a simple wordpress import tool

I love Ghost CMS

Ghost is my favorite platform for blogging. They are extremely focused on publishing and that's the beauty: you can't mess up. Your goal will be to focus on the content.I've recommended it to everyone that wants to have a blog, especially if you want to have a membership. Super easy if you use managed hosting
