We recently had the pleasure of hosting Chef Simmy in our home, and the entire experience was nothing short of exceptional. From start to finish, she brought professionalism, creativity, and an incredible passion for food that truly elevated our evening.Every dish Chef Simmy prepared was beautifully presented and absolutely delicious. The flavors were perfectly balanced, the ingredients tasted fresh and high-quality, and each course felt thoughtfully crafted. Our friends are still talking about how amazing the meal was — especially the standout main course and dessert!What made the night even more special was how seamless she made everything feel. We were able to relax, enjoy great conversation, and focus on our guests while she transformed our kitchen into a five-star dining experience. I heard about Food Fire + Knives from a friend and booked them for my husband’s birthday. The process was easy and made my planning simple from the start.I chose a local chef, Chris, and the whole night felt relaxed and enjoyable. The menu was delicious, crab toast and warm crab dip to start, a Caesar salad with homemade croutons, a New York strip cooked to perfection on our grill, and beignets to finish. Everything was so tasty and well timed.What really made the night extra special was getting to interact with Chris — chatting, sharing stories, and picking up a few cooking tips along the way. It felt less like a formal service and more like having a talented chef friend in the kitchen. I handled the drinks and actually got to enjoy the evening.My husband said it was one of his favorite birthdays! Thank you, Chris and Food Fire + Knives for making it such a memorable and fun time! I was struggling with a Christmas gift for someone who doesn’t like stuff and instead bought an experience with FFK. I also wanted to impress said someone and make it a night they would remember and I got exactly what I wanted. She loved it. I got pictures from her on the dishes themselves, (lobster, scallops, and lava cake…). If I didn’t live all the way across the country, I would have crashed the party. I can’t recommend this business enough.

Chef completely ruined my wedding dinner. Changed the menu from what was agreed, left out ingredients, and left seeds in food. FFK would not refund, had to submit charge back with my cc. I will never use FFK again and advise everyone to avoid.In response-- FFK expected me to complain about the service in front of my wedding guests. Therefore my complaints weren't valid to them? As evidenced here, they are awful to work with and I very much recommend against. They have tried to mark my review as defamatory. Truth is not defamatory.By the way, there is no such thing as 'seedless lemons'. Do some research. No evidence was ever given than the chef somehow bough seedless lemons. They were NOT seedless. There were many in the dishes, but had mostly been thrown out. They required photo proof which was provided from the leftovers. Because again, it would have been extremely embarrassing in front of our guests.And no, I did not accept their gift card as reimbursement for the issues with our reservation. This was for my wedding, which I was not doing another of obviously and had no intention of ever using their services again. Gift credit was useless and not reimbursement for failure to delivered what was ordered.
