Font handling is terrible
Font handling is terrible, and the color panel is poorly designed. Very frustrating experience.

Awful and predatory billing structure. I signed up for the Professional account, as an individual needing basic usage. Along with the £168 annual fee, I have now received a quarterly charge of nearly £600. Figma's explanation verges on the ridiculous. On a basic level, consumer law requires businesses to be transparent with their pricing and not use confusing or misleading tactics. This is before we talk about customer trust and basic decency.
Awful experience.
Terrible billing practices using dark patterns. If you try to downgrade, they simple create more seats and charge you more! Nothing can be refunded! Click remove or downgrade seat and that results in more charges that are instantly billed. $2000 dollars down the drain. When I contacted support about it they scold and gaslight you saying it was the customer's mistake. Will be cancelling our Figma subscription. We barely use it anyway now with AI getting so good.
I had subbed for the $5 plan. After 2 weeks i opted out. Yesterday i just got a bill for $22.40. i was shocked af. customer care has been terrible. i might have to block my card because of this. Figma running their platform like a scam. Terribly dissappointed
We use Figma to organize and store all of our website design projects, and overall it’s been a great experience. It’s a perfect platform for UI/UX and web design work—everything is in one place, easy to access, and simple to share with both teammates and clients. Collaboration is fast, comments work great, and the workflow is very smooth.A couple of downsides:- large design files can sometimes feel a bit heavy and laggy, especially on weaker computers;- some advanced features are locked behind paid plans, which can be a limitation for bigger teams.Overall, Figma is an excellent tool for web design and digital projects, and we use it daily.
Still the best tool to design websites and software. I like that it can be used offline with a dedicated app as well as in the browser.
Figma is an excellent tool for everyday marketing work. Use it almost daity and was able to get started intuitively, without any training. the interface is clear, the collaboration features are great, and it fits perfectly into my workflow.

Not be able to cancel subscription. I needed 4 seats for a month, aparently this was for 8000,- a year instead of 55,- a month. I cannot downgrade, not possible according to Figma. I want to downrade because the make version is okay but not usable in other software, the conversion to design is bad, you can start over again.
Great tools for editing our photos. I'd love to see more AI features added though to the software to cut down photo editing time.
I had an awful experience trying to use their AI design tool for my new website. I tried to add all my brand guidelines and it turned something that looked ok into something terrible. It was not a good use of time or money. They are way off with the AI for design. Stick with building in replit or loveable you don't need this extra step unless you are using the proper Figma tool as a designer. I've asked for a refund as I was on an hour and got way too frustrated.
They have been billing for me almost a year after I shut down my account. Support issue 1283521 for any customer service reps reading this. I don't even have access to the email address that the account was associated with anymore. I'm literally about to cancel a credit card because of Figma. Do better.
I like Figma as a product, but the student verification process is a mess. Figma has chosen to rely entirely on SheerID to verify students, and that decision has real consequences for people who actually need the tool for their studies.I am a currently enrolled student and submitted official enrollment documents, a student ID, and screenshots from my student portal. Despite this, my verification was rejected multiple times with no explanation. After that, SheerID permanently closed my case and refused to provide any further support.Once this happens, Figma offers no alternative way to verify, even if you clearly meet the requirements. That means eligible students can be completely blocked from access because of a third-party system with no transparency and no appeal process.
Figma feels like it actually understands how people design together. You open a file, everyone’s already there, changes happen live, and nothing feels locked behind weird exports or versions. Sharing designs is instant, feedback is easy, and collaboration doesn’t turn into a technical headache. It’s fast, clean, and doesn’t fight you while you work. The free tier is usable, and paid plans make sense once a team grows. It’s not perfect and can get heavy on big files, but overall it feels like a tool that removes friction instead of adding it. Solid product, easy to respect.
If you have a distributed product team, Figma is extremely convenient. Developers, designers, and marketing can all work at the same time without getting in each other’s way. I also really like the option to create my own private dashboard for work, no one else can see it.The only downside is the price. With a larger team, the yearly cost gets pretty high.
The website feels so unintuitive. Every time I try to do something specific like move text, or move a shape to a certain position, it is difficult to actually accomplish. It should not be this difficult. I’ve wasted so much time on simple things that should not have been that hard in the first place.
The customer service is an absolute horror. I feel like I’m talking to a hallucinating bot that just keeps asking me the same questions over and over. After sharing my issue, repeating, rewording, sending screenshots with descriptions, RESENDING SCREENSHOTS WITH MORE DESCRIPTIONS, and several times of them asking if other elements work and then asking if my issue has been resolved…. Exhausting! I even shared a couple articles from their own help pages to show the specific issues I’m still experiencing only to seemingly be ignored.
I subscribed to Figma mainly for the AI 'Make' features. Unfortunately, after the first month the quality noticeably declined — results became extremely poor, and the tool often ran indefinitely trying to fix a bug, wasting all my allocated tokens. To make matters worse, cancelling the subscription was unnecessarily difficult. I had to search the internet just to find out how to cancel. Very disappointing experience.
