I was a victim in the car accident

I was a victim in the car accident in November 2024. Today we have January 2026 and I didn’t get any help from this insurance company. I had to pay for doctor with my own money, because somehow this insurance is not covering that. They are not responding to the emails on time, they are just very unhelpful.

Stay away from Erika Insurance

They don't cover expenses based on alcohol and drug intoxication, even if you have been drugged and the customer service is absolutely awful. I would absolutely not recommend it to you, if you want your money back after paying at the hospital. They don't answer calls or emails and when they do, they treat you like a complete idiot, without listening to your complaints.

Grandparent died during EF travel which…

Grandparent died during EF travel which is insured by Erika Insurance. This 'event' is not covered by EF/Erika insurance. "The policy defines “family members” as the following; A spouse, parent, child, sibling, legal guardian, or live-in companion." are covered. As EF / Erika Insurance is specialized in studies/ travel abroad for children between 16 - 25 years. There is a very limited chance something happens to the children, spouse of live-in companion of the target group of EF (i.e.16 - 25 years children). In short: insurance doesnt cover events likely to happen to the target group

Von wegen "Unbeschwertes Reisen"

During my daughter's EF language trip her bag was stolen. It was during an EF organized activity. As a standard travel insurance that EF advertises we payed for the ERIKA travel insurance. EF advertised us: "have a carefree traveling with ERIKA insurance". Well we believed so... until it happened that her bag was stolen from the EF city guide's car!! And ERIKA does not accept to pay back!!"Carefree"??? Really EF??
