Warning. We arrived at blue moon and it was filthy. Security gates both broken. We have 3 kids. Outside lights didn’t work so you couldn’t see at your car. Mold on shower curtain. Dirty door and dirty rugs. Pitiful.
Pros: Nice new townhouse, great location, easy to golf courses. Easy book over the phoneCons: Make your own beds (no linens or towels even there when we arrived) (what if we got there at 10 PM????? stained sheets, crappy towels, no hand towels, no basic supplies, dish soap, Paper towels, sponge,. Alot of "be sure to", in order to avoid fines. Strip beds and all linens and towels in bag. Clean kitchen, trash out, blah bla blah. Fully stocked kitchen, LOL, plates, glasses, flatware, great. Everything else was cheap and not enough to cook for the 10 guests it could hold. Not even a toaster. This company is robotic, no personal service. This is not a luxury rental as advertised. I rent luxury rentals, have for 18 years in business. But we are golf guys, will book again.
The list of things that didn’t go wrong would be shorter. A $3 million dollar beachfront home in North Myrtle Beach that needs about $100K in upgrades and repairs. We were supposed to be in the house by 3 PM, but the 2 person cleaning crew didn’t bother showing up until around 2:30. We were able to get in around 4:30 or 5. Half the rooms need a paint job. The wooden floor upstairs is warped and buckled. The main entry door is black with crud and corrosion. Mattresses need replaced. Back burner on the stove doesn’t work. Electrical outlets on the kitchen breakfast bar keep shutting off if you plug in more than one appliance at a time. Toilets and sinks back up. Double oven, but one of them didn’t work. Two live cockroaches found in the kitchen on day one. When we called about it, the response was, “Oh, you’re gonna see ‘em” instead of sending an exterminator. This rental company takes absolutely NO responsibility for ANYTHING wrong with their properties. We shouldn’t have to spend our vacation on the phone trying to get things fixed. The best part is the rolling blackouts they don’t tell you about…SURPRISE!-especially when you’re in the middle of trying to cook dinner for 25 people, providing the oven and stove work properly. There are penalty signs everywhere-$500 fine for opening windows, $500 fine for adjusting thermostat settings, $100 fine if the elevator stops working. You spend your vacation walking on eggshells.
