Alex visited yesterday following a warranty claim via Howdens for a faulty washing machine. He was informative and agreed next steps. Highly recommend the service from Alex and Domestic Electric. Alex is a true credit to his company.

Avoid them like the plague! 👎👎👎👎👎
The guy showed up at 8.20 am, with no prior warning, despite alleged promised text with ETA. He arrived at 8.20 am and left at 8.45 am having accomplished absolute nothing. We told the company from Day 1 that the Rangemaster cooker was 29 years old, and detailed everything that needed to be done. The guy deemed everything obsolete, having researched on one website. It became clear later that parts are available online, but he / they couldn't be bothered to source them. The charge for his 25 minutes of so-called expertise was £96.00 This company are absolutely useless and if there was a Zero available, I would award them this for their misleading advertising, their complete lack of professionalism and their total lack of customer care. They failed on every count and I would advise folk to beware of this company and never give them your trust or your business. They're patter merchants, and a total waste of time and money. Avoid them like the plague! 👎👎👎👎

Exactly what I wanted…
Exactly what I wanted…. Excellent service, cost and communication. Will keep recommending…the staff are professional and friendly. I have now had nearly all my appliances replaced by Domestic Electrics and they have been great. No problems at all.

Happy to hit you with a call out charge but zero intention to fix simple problem
I've left similar review on NAC Repairs as they were the company that subcontracted the job out to Domestic Electric. Shocking customer service from this company and I'd recommend folk to steer well clear. Called to request Rangemaster American fridge freezer engineer. First engineer didn't do Rangemaster so was asked if we would pay extra £10 for experienced engineer - not a problem. After a bit of back and forth appointment was arranged with Domestic Electrics. Engineer (nice guy) arrives to diagnose door fault on my elderly (in their 80s) parents' fridge freezer. Engineer states he doesn't know much about the appliance or Rangemaster as mainly does washing machines. Proceeds to diagnose fault on door then does a quick google search for part and advises part is obsolete. Still charged £90 for call out and actually said he was 'embarrassed' to take the money. That evening I searched for part online and was able to order it for £2.50 plus postage. Part has now arrived, been fitted by someone else and door works perfectly saving my parents thousands of pounds on a new fridge freezer. I called to complain and had very unpleasant conversation with the owner of the business who basically called me a liar. I told him the part number and where I'd ordered it from and he said he would go check it out and get back to me. Still waiting on a return call! I would be very cautious of using this company as clearly happy to charge an elderly couple £90 but have no desire to actually fix the problem. To be clear - we had no issue with the call out charge but expected some effort to resolve problem!

Easy Peasy
Had to replace a well used washing machine. The guys were great, very helpful. Took the old machine away and installed the new one. No packaging to get rid off either. And a really good price. Would definitely recommend.

washing machine repairs
I had a problem with my washing machine which was still under warranty. Domestic Electrics from East Kilbride attended on behalf of Howdens to repair the machine. The engineer was very pleasant and conducted his work efficiently. He arrived at the arranged time, phoning in advance and maintaining Covid rules. I would recommend this company.

Dishwasher repair went well.
I needed a repair to a dishwasher. They arrived within the quoted window, with the part suspected from the error code, fixed the problem and left. That was exactly what I hoped might happen. The biggest problem? Finding the company in the first place!
