The most inconsistent Internet service…

The most inconsistent Internet service available on the planet. Outages once a month for absolutely no reason. Zero accountability or competence when it comes to "rectifying" the problem that will present itself again, next month. Countless hours of wages missed because of this troglodyte ran, unfettered capitalistic greed fest of a "company".

Bigots who illegally monopolize

Their customer service reps lie about being able to hear so they don’t have to help you at all. This is the level of care of all Cox employees.

The employees are nice it’s the company i don’t recommend. Faulty equipment but still charged. They don’t show for appointments, make excuses, they will charge you multiple times and then you have to fight for a credit because they did so. Go with anyone else other than COX.

I have never been straight up lied to…

I have never been straight up lied to by a legit business before, and Cox managed to do it twice! Each time I called them, they mysteriously had no record from the last call saying that my refund was approved. They used fake names so I could not report them. They refused to check the transcripts because they said that would be too much effort. I cancelled my service. Tmobile and CenturyLink had better service than this.

Cox Communications

Cox Communications: Where Logic Goes to DieIf you’ve ever wondered what it’s like to pay a monthly ransom to a company that actively hates you, look no further than Cox. They aren’t just the worst cable provider; they are comfortably the most incompetent organization currently operating on planet Earth. They know they’re the only game in town, so they’ve replaced "customer service" with a weekly ritual of outages and scripted idiocy. But today, they really outdid themselves. The "Call Yahoo" ChroniclesI attempted the Herculean task of changing the primary email on my account. A three-minute administrative tweak, right? Not in the Cox Cinematic Universe.• The Technical Genius: The representative I spoke with—after the usual gauntlet of "did you reboot your modem?" scripts—looked at my request and reached a stunning conclusion.• The Solution: He told me to call Yahoo. * The Reality Check: Yes, he suggested I call a multi-billion dollar search engine and media company to fix a billing setting inside the Cox database. When I pointed out that this was clinically insane and asked to speak to someone with a functioning frontal lobe, he didn't just refuse—he disconnected the chat. The Monopoly TaxI eventually reconnected and spent an hour of my life getting another human to do what should have taken sixty seconds. That’s sixty minutes of my existence I will never get back, added to the pile of hours I spend every month rebooting my router like a digital Sisyphus. They don't think. They don't help. They just read from a script until you get frustrated enough to go away. And why wouldn't they? It’s not like I can take my business elsewhere.Verdict: If you enjoy being gaslit by people who think Yahoo runs the cable company, Cox is the provider for you. For everyone else, it’s just a slow-motion car wreck we're forced to pay for.

I have been a cox customer since they…

I have been a cox customer since they brought out Cable Vision. I have had problems over the years but now I am ready to give up. Since I had a fall in September I have to have help around my home. There was a mini box not used in months so I had my daughter return it and was never told I was grand fathered in and any change knocked me off.that. No real help from local store. I was supposed to be put back on but no everything I had but that hasn’t happened. Pat Arnold

Cox communications sucks!!

Cox communications sucks!!! They sent a bill that I owed to collects. I paid it about 3 years ago. Now, it’s pops back on my credit report with a new credit agent!!!! You suck! Word of advice keep your documentations. I thought I was done. Now I have to pay it again! You suck!!! I disputed with credit bureaus and they can’t find where they took it off my credit report when I paid. Both I sent in the two different reports showing when it was taken off! Bellevue, Nebraska

Cox has gone from the leader to the worst

Cox has gone from being the leader in Internet to being the worst Internet provider. I can’t wait to change and leave Cox, but I have been doing resets every few days now. And it still is not helping. I had them come out and they told me my signal was excellent. But it wasn’t because I was even having issues then so it makes zero sense why there’s service has gone way downhill and now most of the reviews are just a one star. And we’re playing a premium for their shitty service. Can’t wait to go to Starlink. Hopefully, it’s better.

Terrible customer service

I called yesterday at 12:20 PM to have them reconnect my line after having them drop the line since I was having tree work done in the back yard. I didn't want to risk snapping the line. The technician who was amazing come out and took it down and said to call back to get it hooked back up that day once the work was done. Again I called at 12:20pm to let them know it was ready to be hooked back up. They said they'd send someone out to do it. Today I called because no one ever showed up and the customer service or technical guy I'm not sure said that there were no calls saying to hook back up the cable. He also said very sternly that I never called. I said I have a call log that says otherwise with a time. He said let me me talk to my supervisor. I'm on hold for 5 minutes and he come back with we have you scheduled Friday from 1-4 or something like that. No apologies just implied I'm a liar and have the open availability to just sit around and wait on a tech without even verifying i'd be available. Terrible customer service from everyone except the actual technician who came out to the house.

Cox is the worst decision I’ve made…

Cox is the worst decision I’ve made when it comes to internet. My previous residence I had no choice because they were the only internet provider. Now that I have moved and tried to transfer my services. The were supposed to send a technician to my home. The first appointment was supposed to be between 10 am and 12 noon. They lazy tech Tommy Walker did not show because I didn’t answer my phone but never came to the house. I called to check on the status. I was then told that a technician name Mike Williams will come out the same day between 5pm and 7pm, and to no avail. He never showed either. So instead of paying overtime or whatever they tried to reschedule it again. There a student that needs internet to do schoolwork and attend classes online. Due to this lack of service and poor hiring of lazy people. If they miss one more class they will be dropped from the class and fail the program all together. I’ve received better internet service on vacation than I get at home. This has been the worst telecommunications company I’ve had to deal with. For the prices they charge, there should be an on call tech. Verizon charges more but never has a technician missed an appointment or not shown because I didn’t answer my phone. Tommy Walker is a lazy, apparently don’t want his job, lying individual. As for their customer service over the phone. They aren’t any better. They transfer between departments and no one has the competence to be able to make this right. If you are considering Cox; DON’T! THEY DO NOT CARE!!! FIND ANOTHER SERVICE PROVIDER IF YOU CAN!!!!

COX Employee Drove Recklessly.

2/16/26 I was cut off by a COX van whose driver continued to straddle two lanes in front of me, poking along at a snail’s pace and nearly causing a wreck in the vicinity of Hampton Roads, VA. Understand that it is not okay to use surveillance technology to dig into my private life to advertise immediately after I canceled equally slovenly Breezeline/Cogeco disservice. The only people allowed to stingray a phone or wiretap are law enforcement with active warrants. Your blatant ad campaign using company vehicles is evident however I am not interested in withstanding more highway robbery from a different bunch of sorry con artists. Thanks to your careless employee I now have two 1080p dash cams on order. :)The stalkers involved should be arrested and convicted.

COX is Price Gouging working Americans

This review is about my complete disappointment for Cox TV Network. Every single year they raise the cable bill without improving or adding a new network. This year they raised my bill $12 a month. $144 a year for the same exact tv stations. This makes my bill $138. I called ( took me 3 times to make a call) to remove an extra of $30 for basic channels(economy package) they are charging on top of the $80 Contour TV Starter package. Once removed, Wow how disappointed to see the channels available. COX is Charging $80 a month for basic local channels and then all the worst channels like HSN/ HSN2 QVC that nobody watches. These are shopping networks. Their $80 Contour TV Package a month is a complete rip off! It comes with NO national new stations. No channels for children and family - absolutely nothing except the worst channels provided. How sad that paying $80 a month before tax and fees gets the worst channel stations. Cox decided that this is what they will offer hard working Americans that come home from a long day. ( shopping network stations) Those Economy channels charging me an extra $30 a month are handful of good stations that should be included in the $80 Contour Package. Very sad Cox wants everyone’s business but takes advantage of hard working Americans money ( rips us off providing the worst list of of channels) unless you upgrade to the TV package for $145 before fees/ taxes. This is very sad that COX has no respect for Hardworking Americans that they would even offer the channels listed in the Contour Starter package. I cannot believe I have been a long time customer to see that they continue to raise the bill to make it unaffordable and then offer the absolute worst channels not children/ family friendly. They should be ashamed to be ripping people off in this way. This is unfair price gouging. COX needs to rethink their terrible way of business. Also I would AVOID switching to them as a phone company if anything like the yearly increases in the TV cable bills.

Worst company EVER

Worst company EVER! We were new to Florida so we signed on without looking at reviews. We kept getting over data fees so I jumped up to the unlimited for $150 a month just for internet. Well after the first year I received a notice they were increasing our bill to $180 and had to sign on for 2 years or pay $120 cancelation fee. I got them to reduce to $160 and signed on for the 2 years only because at the time this happened I had alot going on. Well Quantum fiber came into our neighborhood so for the same unlimited data I pay $65. When I called to cancel they asked why I told them their price was too high and constantly losing internet! She said well we can get you a lower rate. I said $65 and she said probably let me check etc.! I said nope- you've been ripping me off too long. So she said you know you have to pay a $120 cancelation- yep! She said well doesn't look like you have any of our equipment so it will be $120. Nothing about having to pay the 4 days into the billing period. Then the next day a guy from Cox called trying to get us to come back. I had to hang up on him. 2weeks later I get an email saying I owe $16.48 and they were threatening to put me into collection. I called and it was 30 minutes before someone answered. 15 minutes of arguing with this person and they wore me down! I was Done! I hung up paid the bill and will never use them again!

Really living up to the name “Cox”

First off we were forced to use this internet provider due to living in an apartment that had a contract with them over a year ago so it was definitely not our first choice but that’s okay. Secondly, WHY DOES ANY COSTUMER SERVICE REP NOT UNDERSTAND ANYTHING YOU SAY? We have had several times of lost internet or couldn’t connect either due to a bad router or constant “outages” that aren’t weather related and the more recent one being our fiber internet cable was damaged by accident by another company doing zoning in our area. Tell me WHY did it take me 4 days to get someone out to my home to attempt to fix the cable? I can tell you why, because they had an outage all day the day the cable got damaged and blocked all forms of communication about a problem during an outage so when I finally got someone they could only have someone come out 3 days later. The tech they sent out did not work with fiber and told us to reschedule only to be told THERE WAS ANOTHER OUTAGE ALL DAY and they couldn’t send anyone out until after to fix it. They also didn’t understand that we weren’t calling about the outage and we were requesting someone to fix our cable. To make matters worse it didn’t say in their system the entire time that someone had already came which was the same guy that told us he had no idea he was there to fix a fiber internet cable and wasn’t certified to do so. I proceeded to spend exactly 4 hours through chat explaining the same problem and repeatedly telling them that the tech wasn’t “falling behind” that they came and told us to reschedule and asking to terminate my service 4 times to 4 different people. Neither of which understood a word I was saying or beat around the bush to keep me locked in with them. It wasn’t until saying I was going to need to speak to a higher up that the 4th person finally started the process to eliminate my services. By this point I already had another company lined up I just needed them to cancel my services so I could set it up which I told them that in the midst of not understanding simple English. Not to mention upgrading to Fiber Internet didn’t change a thing either, we still had the same bad connection alongside with constant outages. Even though they claimed it was “faster and more reliable”. At that point we were paying a high price for mediocre service. They also use and reuse the same equipment giving customers the same mediocre results. We will never go back to Cox even if they were the last Internet company on Earth. They are the most expensive, incompetent people and company I have ever had the displeasure of dealing with.

Horrendous customer service

Horrendous customer service. You can not speak to an English speaking person no matter what you do. Spent over an hour on hold to be transferred to an American agent and was bounced back and forth between multiple Indian/Asian speakers who I couldn't understand and who could not understand my problem.
